Bon Soir catered my daughter's bat mitzvah and did a magnificent job. Jeff was terrific to work with, helpful about getting the event within our budget, his staff was tops, the set-up gorgeous and the food terrific. Our guests raved. I highly recommend Bon Soir and plan to use them for our next event.

Bon Soir has been a part of my family for many years. Jeff Riley is the owner. His food is superb. He is a perfectionist in every detail if you use his services. Francine is the manager and quite frankly she does the bookings with finesse. Thank you both for being a part of so many affairs in my life. Love you guys.

I'm in a new role at an independent school who caters a yearly event with Bon Soir Caterers and my experience working with Jeff and his team was fantastic from start to finish. They were professional, responsivene, flexible with all the COVID issues and I had nothing but courteous interactions with everyone. BUT- the most AMAZING thing was the food.

The food was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS. I don't get super excited about BBQ unless I'm down south or in other parts of the country, but everything was absolutely delicious. It also felt like "fancy BBQ" that tasted absolutely amazing and the presentation was very elegant as well, so that it works for a more formal event. I don't know what they grill their hotdogs on -but SO many of the folks in attendance said they were the best hot dogs they had ever had.

For those with a more sophisticated palate, the grilled chicken with hints of lemon and herb was also to-die-for. And they provided a lot of vegetarian options not to mention absolutely delicious desert, and fruits and veggies and sides. Additionally, the staff was on time, and super helpful with set up and breakdown at the location where we hosted the event.

They were also professional and courteous. This was a work event but I am considering using them for personal party planning in the future because there was something for everyone and I still think about how good the chicken and those veggies were. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Catering baby shower last Saturday. Excellent service, great tasting food, artisan presentation. Everything was just perfect. My guests were impressed and some asked for information.

I live in upstate NY, but recently needed a caterer for a small gathering in Brooklyn. Having no familiarity with the area, I used venue recommendations and called a number of local caterers. Several days later, I called them all back again. After some time went by with no response to any of my calls or messages, I expanded my search to caterers a little further away.

Not 20 minutes after leaving a message at Bon Soir, Jeff called me back. Not only was he exceptionally responsive, but he was incredibly helpful as well. He provided recommendations for food, then went out of his way to suggest possible locations for our gathering that would be accessible and convenient. He emailed me written instructions for his suggested places and even provided a map and driving directions for the route to his office that would have the least traffic. Words cannot express my gratitude for his professionalism and kindness. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. I highly recommended Jeff and Bon Soir Caterers.

Hosted a college graduation party this past weekend for family & friends and wow what an amazing job Jeff and his staff did for us. Phone calls and text messages from guests congratulating me on such a beautiful party, complimenting the food and service. Jeff was super attentive and guided me making all the right choices. He gave me excellent advice cautioning me I was over ordering, he wasn't concerned about making money but had my best interest in mind.

The servers did a great job making sure all my guests needs had been met. I opted for passed appetizers which were delicious, plentiful and different. A friend commented they wanted to have a party and have exactly the same menu, can't think of a better compliment. We had a great experience and it was a pleasure to do business with Bon Soir Caterers at the Hudson River Yacht Club. Looking forward to my next celebration and joining up with Jeff again.

Jeff and his team are by far the absolute best caterers I have used for a large event at my home. Jeff is extremely patient and responsive and worked with me to plan a menu for my celebration. Everything was planned and executed flawlessly with zero stress. Food was beyond delicious. Staff showed up in advance and were set-up and ready to go before guests arrived.

This is the first event at my home that I actually really enjoyed because I wasn't worried about a thing. Staff kept flow going and by end of night had cleaned up meticulously. I'm looking forward to my next celebration with Bon Soir! This is now my go-to caterer for it all.

Bon Soir Caterers are by far one of the best caterers I have ever dealt with. We had a school retirement party at the Hudson River Yacht Club with Bon Soir as the caterer. The planning of the party with the professional staff was the easiest planning I ever did. Every tray of food that we picked was absolutely delicious. The next day I was receiving texts and calls telling me what a great time they had, that the food was so good and how courteous the staff was. Highly recommend Bon Soir Caterers.

We just used Bon Soir to cater our son's bar mitzvah at the Queens County Farm Museum on Saturday, and they were fabulous. Jeff Riley (who owns the company) worked with us over several months to figure out the menu and make it as affordable as possible. Ours was a small event (50 people total), but Jeff treated us like we were hosting world leaders.

He even helped us negotiate down the price on renting tables and chairs. The caterers themselves were fantastic - they arranged and rearranged the seating three times on the day of the event as we figured out where the sun would fall (it was 93 degrees and the event was outdoors), and they did not complain even once. They served cocktails and hors d'heuvres and a buffet, always present when wanted but never in the way.

And the food was delicious! No leftover salmon (sad to say), but plenty of pasta salad and dessert, which we have been happily eating twice a day since, and we're glad it's still there for more. Definitely, go with Bon Soir!

Bon Soir catered a small 20 person birthday party for us. Couldn't be happier either food. We picked up the food, which was ready as promised. Their kitchen loaded the car for us. The hot food, braised short ribs, and chicken Fran chaise was fresh, delicious and plenty full. The salad was also just as fresh. Food for 20 could feed 40. Everyone took food home. Bon Soir will cater the holidays for me this year now. Thank you to the full staff and owner. They care and it shows.

Bon Soir Catered my wedding basically one week after hurricane Sandy. Jeff lives and works out of south Brooklyn, which was essentially demolished, without electricity, heat and was inhabitable for weeks after the storm. Between the astonishing stress of worrying about my family, my fellow NYers and the wedding that we saved and planned for, Jeff was a rock to lean on, dispite his own predicament.

He could have walked away and let insurance take care of losses, but as a dedicated business man and overall lovely person, sat on the phone with me, assuring me the wedding would go and be beautiful. He talked me into having the wedding, not cancelling, even though so many around us, including him, lost so much. Jeff told me, everyone will need a good excuse to celebrate being alive and having one another, they will need this.

He assured me the food and service would still be impeccable, and boy was he right. Our wedding at Gary's Loft was the perfect night Jeff promised. The food (bbq style) was the comfort food everyone needed after the chaos and destruction of that terrible storm. From our first tasting to our last goodbyes as the food was served, Jeff was the epitome of what you would want in a caterer!

Every guest raved about the food and the quantity. One family member said at the cocktail hour, that the food did not stop coming out and it was delicious. This review is very late but the information speaks volumes of Jeff's character and professionalism. I would recommend Bon Soir to anyone! We were so lucky to have found them!

Words cannot express how wonderful Jeff and the whole Bon Soir team are on every level. Not only did Jeff help us figure out the best menu for our budget he also guided us through creating a blueprint for our entire wedding day. Jeff and the Bon Soir team are always calm, always positive, always easy to reach and always working to make sure you get exactly what you want on your big day.

No question went unanswered and every question was met with never-ending patience and wisdom from the whole team. We don't know how we would have planned a wedding for 220 people without Jeff's guidance. He even helped us with wonderful suggestions for alcohol and beer vendors and helped us figure out the best amount to order which was above and beyond his call of duty for our party.

The entire staff on the day of the event made sure the party was seamless. Every staff member treated us like royalty from start to finish and they were so sweet to our guests. And, now.the FOOD! Every single one of our guests made a point of raving about every item that was served from appetizers to entrees. Everything was fresh, hot, delicious and looked great.

Our friends and family went up for seconds and thirds and could not believe we were serving such delicious food at a party for so many people. For example, the pita with our appetizers was served fresh and hot. When have you ever had fresh, hot pita bread at a party? We did (and so did all our guests) at our wedding. Bon Soir was one of several caterers recommended by our wedding venue. We diligently contacted them all, deciding ultimately to go with Bon Soir because they had glowing reviews and offered the best value. We were not disappointed! The passed hors d'oeuvres were abundant--multiple people told us they started turning appetizers away towards the end of the cocktail hour because they were getting full.

Very importantly, the food the day of the wedding was as good as it was at our tasting. We received so many compliments, both immediately following and nearly 2 months later. The staff working the event was obviously experienced and worked seamlessly throughout the evening. I highly recommend Bon Soir for your special events!

We selected Bon Soir to cater our baby shower and it was the best decision we made! They offer a wide range of food options and packages at various price ranges. We opted for brunch and everyone at the shower raved about the assortment and abundance we had. They delivered on time and setup swiftly. We had our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse. After the previous exclusive caterer went MIA, many of the couples, who were left stranded including ourselves, were invited to a tasting with Jeff and the team. We were blown away by the presentation and taste of the food. After careful considerations, we decided to go with Bon Soir and we are very glad we did! Yoriko knew the Boathouse like the back of her hands.

She was one of the main reasons that we went with Bon Soir. She was calm and collected the whole night and moved things along, working with my Day-of Coordinator. The staff member were so courteous and sweet, making sure we had everything we need and we looked our best on the day. Right before I walked down the aisle, one of the servers notice my hanger string from the dress is out and helped me fix it!

It meant a lot to me because I can now spot that in some of the photos I took before the ceremony and I am so thankful he noticed it and corrected it! The food was absolutely amazing. I have friends raving about crab cakes and chateaubriand for days. Everything was executed perfectly and timely to our plans and we can't thank Bon Soir enough for our beautiful wedding.

We used Bon Soir at our Picnic House wedding (in Prospect Park) this past August. Jeff and his team have years of experience in catering, and it shows! Jeff helped us pick out our menu and the food was deeeelicious! His day-of team was incredibly helpful and was there to help us with anything we needed. Also, Bon Soir is very affordable considering the area and quality of the food! Thanks for making our day great!

Bon Soir catered our wedding at the Picnic House in Prospect Park over Labor Day weekend. The staff were terrific and so attentive! We were pleasantly surprised to get to our Bride/Bride table after the ceremony/photos to find full plates of everything on the menu! They also checked in a few times during the event to make sure we had everything we needed, which helped us avoid the issue of not having time to eat during the wedding.

Staff seemed to really know what they were doing and made sure the day ran smoothly with food, setup, and flipping the space from ceremony to dinner without a hitch. We also received several compliments from our guests on the food. In general, Jeff was easy to work with and pretty communicative via email. The only thing that was a little frustrating was the cost breakdown of the rentals (e.g., tables, glassware, etc.) - would have been great to have a more clear explanation of why each item was needed.

Although we were initially a little nervous about being limited to a small group of caterers on the Picnic House's list, Bon Soir ended up being great and we were very happy with our experience! Would definitely recommend them for Picnic House weddings and otherwise. Our wedding was beautiful from start to finish.

We cater our thanksgiving meal at Bon Soir this year and very disappointed with the food. The turkey was not fully cook, we see blood near the thigh area. All the side dishes were either over cooked or not cooked enough. All the good doesn't taste very good. Also they are overpriced for the kind of food they offered. Won't order from them again.

I will to start by saying that the ends justify the means. At the end of the day, Bon Soir provided good food for a good price and there was plenty of left-overs. There was 156 adults and 14 kids - Bon Soir gave us chicken fingers for the kids, in addition to the appetizers, single entree and three sides, plus bread and coffee/tea for all. Everything was buffet style, and plates were disposable.

The staff was friendly and efficient (maybe a little too efficient in sweeping up guests' drinks if it were set down anywhere). My fiance and I came to Jeff pretty late in the game when we realized our first pick for a caterer was not going to work with us on price. We were very happy to find that Jeff was willing to coordinate a package for us, based on a pretty small budget.

We definitely experienced some frustrations in trying to get terms in writing. Not to mention a near breakdown on "cost lists" for rentals. Armando - the manager on staff for the event - was terrific in coordinating a pretty seamless order of events. Ultimately, Bon Soir is a great pick for the value option among required vendors at the Picnic House in Prospect Park.

I'd like to add to my husband's review below. The day we went for our tasting at Bon Soir, we were already running late due to crazy Brooklyn traffic, and then we blew out a tire when we hit a massive pothole. We called Jeff to let him know we'd be running late, and he offered to come pick us up from the gas station so we could eat while we waited for AAA to arrive.

He went above and beyond to help us out in this situation, and that really meant something to us. The tasting was amazing, more food than we could even eat in one sitting, and Jeff gave us so much helpful information while we ate. When we finished, one of the chefs gave us a ride back to the gas station to get our car. Jeff helped us set up our order for the rental company, and also helped us decide on a table layout for our venue.

Some of my husband's family was coming in from India and they are strict vegetarians, so we wanted to bring in food from an Indian food restaurant to be served during the wedding in addition to the other food that Bon Soir was providing. Jeff was very accommodating and agreed to have his team serve the outside food to our guests as well. The catering went very smoothly the day of and the team definitely made sure the bride and groom were taken care of throughout the night!

The food was great, guests especially loved the BBQ station! We wanted something a little different than the traditional seated 3 course meal at our wedding, and Bon Soir was definitely up to the challenge. Book Bon Soir, you won't be disappointed!

I feel like people might be weary of a business that only has 5 star reviews and nothing else - but I can guarantee you this is a real review from a real customer! Bon Soir catered our wedding on 9/19/14 at the Green Building in Brooklyn. It was a pleasure working with Jeff. He was able to work within our budget and was very professional throughout the process.

The day of went flawlessly. Whoever was in charge on site (we were so busy we couldnt really have a formal intro) was on top of everything. As soon as cocktail hour started, they came to us personally with a plate of apps that were being passed to make sure we ate.that was one thing all couples that got married told us.you're so busy you have no time to eat.

It was much appreciated. He checked in on us throughout the night, offering to make us our plate for dinner and bring us drinks. It was unexpected and much appreciated even if we did not take him up on the offer all the time. So in the end, we were very happy with their services for our big day. No issues whatsoever.

Jeff and his team at Bon Soir are the only caterers we use. They have done our birthday parties, our showers and our wedding. They are simply the best. They walk you through the menu step-by-step and really make you feel so comfortable in what can be a stressful process. We are particular fans of their BBQ menu. After sampling their food, we actually had an all BBQ wedding menu. Bon Soir may have a French name, but they cook like they are from the deep south.

There is love in the food. The pull pork sliders haunt my dreams, they are so delectable. My friend, who has his own catering business, came to me after one event to get Bon Soir's card. He said "that is the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had." And this is coming from a guy who cooks for a living. They also do an amazing traditional American catering menu and work well with any budget you might have.

We went to a wedding they did on what I know was a shoestring budget and the spread was still impressive. Their creamy pesto pasta is one of my wife's favorite pasta dishes ever. Whatever the event and whatever the location, I strongly recommend trying Bon Soir. your tummy will thank you.

I was so happy to have found Bon Soir caterers to cater our wedding. Jeff and his team have been catering events for a long time, which, trust me on this one, is one of the most important factors when considering a caterer for any large event.

The food was fantastic (our guests still rave about the grilled mahi, coconut shrimp, and amazing gourmet mac 'n cheese!) and the servers were total pros. They helped us set up our centerpieces and took care of details we hadn't even thought about. We were able to enjoy our wedding and have zero concerns other than have fun with our family and friends. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!
