Italian Center

My husband, sons (ages 2 and 3) and I are big fans of the Italian Center and their Early Childhood Education Station program. We are so impressed with the thoughtful activities in each of our kids' classes week over week and the emphasis on education through play, along with all of the develomental benefits that come with that. On warmer weather days, the kids spend as much time outdoors as possible, and the extracurriculars are awesome as kiddos move through the program (e.g., music and dance in the 2s, yoga and swimming in the 3s, etc.).

It took no time at all for my kids to run into their teachers' arms at school without so much as a second glance at me, and the sting of that quickly wore off as I realized how fortunate we are to have our kids in such great hands!

We recently joined the ICC and I've enjoyed the Gym and my son is doing great in his private swim lessons, can't wait for the pools in the summer! But, prior to joining I enrolled my 3 yo into Education Center in October and we couldn't be more happy with everything from the management to the teachers to the curriculum and campus. Every person that my son encounters from drop off to pick up, actually care about him.

He has flourished and every day he thanks for finding the best school. He has made new friends, grown with independence and learning and he absolutely loves his teachers. I cannot recommend Education Station for your toddler enough!

Our son attends the Education Station at the IC and he is absolutely thriving. The team of educators and support staff are amazing. Lauren is running an incredible program for youngsters of all ages through PreK. Hunter has learned to love school and is making phenomenal progress socially, emotionally and academically. The teachers provide wonderful attention and care to each child and they really get to know them and love them. We can not thank the team enough! We will be so sad to leave at the end of summer, but our son is more than ready for Kindergarten thanks to the ES!

Terrific Daycare Service -- We have had our two children at IC for the past 18 months and couldn't be happier. The administrators are very accessible and communicative, the teachers are very loving and caring, and there are great perks of being at the IC. For instance, kids get to take swimming lessons with the staff at the IC pools; there are opportunities to get delicious multi-course, pre-made dinners (just pop in oven!) 2-3 times per week (of course, always italian food!); and so forth. We love it, and are going to get a membership now that Covid is ending so we can further enjoy this great community!

Recently, I attended a banquet at the Italian Center and.mamma mia. was I impressed. The venue was amazing. The tennis courts and the pool were a great perk. The staff were incredibly friendly, genuine and attentive. I highly recommend having your event at the Italian Center of Stamford.

We hosted the umbrella club annual raffle with approximately 350 people. The food was outstanding the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to everyone of our needs. Anna does an amazing job with her attention to detail.

My Family has been associated with the Italian Center since our grandfather first joined what was then known as the Italian Institute on South St in downtown Stamford. At that time the Institute helped Italian immigrants assimilate to life in the US. When property was acquired on Newfield Ave. the I C has grown to be a multifaceted organization that has become a centerpiece for families to recreate in North Stamford.

Young children can start by being educated in the Pre-School, participate in many youth activity programs and work at the I C when they come of age. New families can meet neighbors and find a safe place for their children to play. There are 5 swimming pools, multiple racquet sport courts, a gym and workout areas for members to enjoy. We are proud to be part of the I C enjoy the many activities they have to offer throughout the year.

We love the IC! We've been members for several years and have participated in many of the offerings. The location is very convenient which helps with small children and with drop offs for our older children. We use the outdoor pools daily in the summer and the kids are always able to find someone they know there to play/swim with. The kids have also taken swim lessons in both winter and summer and are all great swimmers.

We've also taken part in tennis and paddle lessons, the onsite daycare/preschool, comedy nights, outdoor movie nights, Easter Egg Hunt, the workout room as well as many others. There is truly something for everyone!

We are new members to the IC, joining in the Spring of 2021 and honestly, I'm not sure why we didn't join sooner. Our experience has been fantastic thus far. During the summer our family used the pools several times a week, where we relaxed and had fun with some of our favorite people, made several new friends and reconnected with friends we haven't seen in a while! Our kids take swimming and tennis lesson and are making excellent progress in both. We also love attending the family nights out.

The Italian Center was my home away from home this summer! Their late pool hours were perfect for an after work swim and they offered plenty of adult programs to keep me busy! Im truly looking forward to their fall/winter activities:
