Went there for lunch with a friend I haven't been there in many many years the service was very good people were very friendly and the food was very good they have a wide variety of soups if you're a Soup person this is the place to go I think they have like over 150 soups in which you can buy Frozen and take home. talked with the owner very friendly guy he's in a partnership with another guy met him also very nice people to do business with I will be back there soon it won't be so long like it took the first time had a good meal also they make their own potato chips which were really good

Starship delivers again. I needed a different option to cater an event at a Dr's office and Paul, Henry, and the crew came through. I was able to get more food at a lower price than most of the usual options and the food won rave reviews from the office staff!

Tried this shop today after reading all the rave reviews. I don't feel like I had the same experience as others though. I got the steak sandwich and it left a lot to be desired. It was not on sesame seed rolls, it was on the packaged french rolls you get from the store. The steak was good but it just had a couple of slices of onion and steak sauce and that was the whole sandwich.

Would have expected some cheese or more onions and a creamy sauce. I wouldnt recommend ordering it. I ordered the fresh chips and they didn't have any ready so they said it would be a couple extra minutes which I was ok with. It took about 30 minutes to get my whole dine-in order. The tables were also not clean. I think I'd consider ordering another sandwich or one of their various soups and taking it to go but I wouldnt dine in again.

This place definitely worth giving a try! They have here so amazing sandwiches and subs that is really worth the price. Their best seller is the Corned Beef, it is so tasty, meaty, and delicious. It is also prepared so perfectly, made to order, and fresh. You will absolutely surprise how great it is. They also have unique food that you can only try and get at their restaurant.

Everything is made to perfection. Really great menu! Their employees here are very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. They will greet you once you enter the place and also will assist you to find some vacant spot. They are really helpful and kind. They all know how to treat their customers so well. Very nice staff. You can really tell that all of them really loves their job and they are happy doing all the things they are doing inside the place.

All of them are really fast workers. They are really one of the reasons why this place is really great. Starship Restaurant is totally a hidden gem in this area of Forest Park! No wonder why lots of people keep coming back again and again. Really impressive! Thank you guys for giving us such an amazing experience! Will visit again when I am nearby! Starship is this amazing little place that you could easily mistake for a little hole in the wall as you walk by. Some further inspection will tell you it's a Star Trek themed sandwich joint, but the place needs no gimmicks. The sandwiches are consistently wonderful, and their soups are impressive in both quality and quantity. Sandwiches come with homemade chips, and unless you're very hungry a typical 6 and chips could net you 1-2 meals.

They use sesame seed loaves, and they don't skimp on meat/toppings. Rounding out the experience, you have friendly and personable staff, and they bring your food out to you. All in all, Starship is one of the top two reasons I find myself coming back to this area again and again (the other one being Johnnie's), and even with a 40 minute hike the food always makes the journey worth it. Bottom line: fun vibe, great food, nice people. 5/5 do recommend.

Fun sandwich place. Homemade potato chips. Since we were new in the neighborhood and just getting to know them they offered us a bag of free chips homemade right there. And said we were free to sample things when we came in just let them know that we were new. They have a great selection of soups and stews packaged in single serving containers for takeout.

Very friendly place. And as you can see from the pictures, starship decor on the walls. Next time I go I'm going to take home some soup or stew. Give it a try I'm sure you'll like it. Practically gourmet with really reasonable prices.

Out and about on the West side burbs and we found this place for lunch. Now this, is a Deli. I had the cream of mushroom soup with The Jefferson and babe had the Chicken Cheddar soup and The Italian. Whoa! They make their own chips with your sandwich. This is why we are foodies and we always find the best places to eat. The soups are exceptional. Absolutely will be back.

First time trying this place and the soup hype is real! Love the theme and all the soup options in the freezer! I can not wait to come back and try more of the soups! Had the French onion and the Rosemary Chicken & Rice. The sandwiches were great too! Steak was tender and the meatballs were full of flavor!

Looking for Best Corned Beef near Oak Park? Definitely give Starship Sandwiches and Subs a try. Corned beef did not disappoint, tasty beef piled high slathered in dressing, not so oily, not so messy. Pickle and sauerkraut are nicely sour. Can't try a sub shop without a cheesy beef. only complaint was not enough marinara, otherwise moist beef and good bread. Fries are extra crispy and coated. Soups caught my eye on the way out, until next time Starship, dinner was a blast!

Excellent! Great sandwiches and soups, also a huge selection of frozen soups to take home, plus daily specials. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful! A niegborhood gem!
