Bartolini's Restaurant Since opening their doors in 1995, Bartolini's Restaurant has lured food lovers to the south side of Chicago with a promise of many of Chicago's iconic eats all under one roof. At the heart of the success are brothers Christopher and Dominic Bartolini, who attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY before setting out to create Italian beef, superior pizza, and meatballs so spectacular, they've been named some of the nation's best.

The secret is a perfectly sized, impeccably seasoned, juicy beef and pork meatball coated in "red gravy" and made from an expertly crafted original recipe created by Bartolini's Grandfather more than 70 years ago.

Great food. Excellent service. Loved my chicken prosciutto sandwich off the specials menu. Absolutely superb! Terrific homemade chips, and saved room for homemade Cherry Italian ice. So glad I went.

I've tried most of the deep dish pizza in the area and this is by far the worst. As the crust was as hard as a piece of coal. The pizza was half cut making it super hard to cut even with a regular knife. Very flavorless even with the fresh garlic on it.

This restaurant is amazing! Their food is so good! It's insane! You have to try this place! What he orders: The meatball sandwich. He says there is none better and trust me he gets one from any place we try. The fried chicken sandwich is his new addiction though. He loves the raspberry habanero sauce so much, we now have a bottle of it in the fridge.

What I order: The calzone. I'm a weirdo and I don't like a lot of toppings in my calzone. Actually, I like it plain. Just cheese and sauce wrapped in their dough. Baked and then coated in their garlic butter. Oh, and I get a side of that butter. That butter- which in all likelihood is just butter and garlic put in a blender is the s***. I had some leftover and I used it to cook a filet or fish in, and wow.

I mean. I need to know the proportion of garlic to butter so I can make this at home. The meatball appetizer. I get one order and save half for another day and you know what? It's fantastic reheated in the oven. I don't get it. The meatballs don't dry out! We are so obsessed with two dishes each we haven't tried anything else. I know!

I know! We need to! If these four dishes are excellent, I'm sure so much if not everything else on their menu is equally as delicious. Warning: my photos are pretty terrible. They do not do this place justice!

You want an authentic Italian restaurant where the food is served in heaven, then stop in at Bartolini's! I've had many items from Chris and Dom's menu and have always been 100% satisfied. If you don't like what you ordered then there's something wrong with your tongue. These guys know how to cook! Mongia!

One of the best casual Italian restaurants I've been to, it's a must if you're in the neighborhood. Great calzones, appetizers, pizzas, and of course, meatballs! All served by a friendly staff, Bartolini's is a must-visit classic restaurant!

Just finished our first meatball pizza that was delivered perfectly via Goldbelly. Oh my lord! Hands down the best pizza I've ever had is your meatball pizza! I will now be stocking my freezer with your frozen pizzas and most likely order your meatballs as well! Bravo Bartolini's!

We have tried our first Bartolini deep dish via Goldbelly and it was fantastic. Fresh ingredients, wonderful sauce and a great crust. I could not believe how great a frozen pizza could be. Up next is the thin crust. I have ordered other deep dish from some other Goldbelly clients, but they paled in comparison to yours. We will be ordering again!

Hidden in a plaza is this great spot. From the hostess to the waitress service was excellent. Food was amazing besides the pizza. I'm sure it rocks in the Chicago area. But it does not compare to my NY pizza. The pasta however was amazing, and I will sure to come back.

Great Service! The owner went to every table, we ordered drinks the server was friendly and had great suggestions. The mushrooms in my pasta were so fresh! Loved it and will be back!

This place is one of my top 5 places to eat in the NWI/Chicago suburbs. Best meatballs I have ever had. Their pizza is actually very good and I'd put it up against most thin crusts in the Chicago area. Nice atmosphere. Great waitresses. I go here at least 2-3 times a month.

Their deep dish pies via GoldBelly nationwide delivery are some of the best we've had, dare I say even better than Lou Malnati's? Price is a bit steep at $120 (including shipping) for three 12 pies, but they're super dense and packed with toppings. Great sauce, lots of cheese, and decent crust. Recommend!

Pizza Pia was delicious. My only regret was I couldn't stop eating it and was wishing for more leftovers the next day. The wait staff was more than accommodating and did not mind that we sat and talked well after our meals were done. A top-notch family owned business. We will be back!

Solidly meh. Got 3 pies shipped off Goldbelly and these were not great. The sauce is god awful, and the crust is just plain hard on the outside/uncooked on the underside. All 3 pies sucked.ate 2 slices off each and threw the rest away.which blows because these were far more expensive than the Lou Malnati's yet maybe only half as good. Sidenote: Lou's would be the best if THEIR crust didn't suck (Lou's sauce and cheese are the best). As it stands, Giordano's is my favorite deep dish. And don't come at me with Peaquod's.their sauce blows goats too.

My Job ordered takeout and my food(Chicken Cesar Salad) was amazing. My co workers ordered the Calzones and they smelled and looked great. Everyone enjoyed the food and no l w had any complaints. Would definitely try again!

Stopped in after securing our real ID next door. This was about 3:30 Outdoor patio was locked up. They never had a chance to open it up that day. (Believe they open at 11am) There were a few patrons indoors. However, NOT ONE of the staff was wearing a mask. Not the hostess, cook, servers. Although, we had carry out, won't even be doing that.

I ordered from this restaurant on GoldBelly, the pizza was supposed to be delivered at 4 PM but was delayed and delivered at 10 AM the next day. It came completely inedible. The pizza was fully defrosted and fully saturated from the condensation build-up from the inadequate amount of coolant this restaurant packed it in. GoldBelly said they were supposed to pack it with enough coolant it should last DAYS.

I doubt it lasted half a day. I reached out to Bartolini's and they blamed UPS for the little over-the-half-day delay. GoldBelly blamed them. I've ordered from other places on GoldBelly and receive much better packaging than this. Maybe this is different in the winter months, but I will not order from them again based on my experience.

Stopped here by chance and because I wanted to try the famous deep dish pizza and I was very satisfied. Believe to an 100% italian. The owners stop by our table and were very nice and gifted us with flowers!

We are out of towers and found this place through Yelp. What an amazing experience. Casual ambience but the service was top notch. Melissa took such great care our party if 5. Mini Meatballs were incredible. PIA pizza was out of this world. Tiramisu was one for best we ever had with love from Dominic, the owner who came out to say hello and made us feel very special. This is our go-to place. We absolutely loved it.

I wanted to take some dinner to my family who is out of state. So I ordered everything 'deconstructed'. The order taker understood immediately what I wanted to be done, and she offered to separate all items if that's what I wanted. The food is delicious, that is a known fact. The order taker and help there are quick, responsive and thorough.

It was packed up separately, so it was easier for me to put in the cooler for traveling. I could not be happier. To the Owners of Bartolinis- Don't ever change, you have a gem and a place where old-fashioned work ethic and talent is nurtured and expected. Thank you

Love the Goldbelly delivery! The sauce is everything! We would eat an old shoe dipped in the sauce. We inhaled the pepperoni thin crust. Meatball deep dish pictured. We are now fans. See you in person next time I visit Chicago!

Our first time here. Really casual dining room with a fun bar. Looked like lots of regulars in there. It smelled great walking in. We went there for the Elvis cheeseburger which was well worth it. It had a lot of taste and we'd get it again for sure. We split it and felt we had to try something Italian too so we split the meat lasagna and took half of it home.

It tasted homemade with mini meatballs layered in it. Never thought of dessert until our waitress suggested the homemade cheesecake. It's made in a bowl as an individual serving. You can add caramel, chocolate, or raspberry topping but it doesn't need it because it is the BEST CHEESECAKE EVER! Our waitress Melissa was super attentive and friendly and owners/managers walked around checking on tables which we really liked.

Definitely worth going. We'll be back! Enjoyed it a lot. I already went back to Bartolini's and I had a calzone on this second visit. I already know it is all I will ever order from here because it was so delicious. If you love pizza more than life itself try a calzone here it is reasonably priced and with up to three ingredients. The crust was light yet crispy and hot straight from the oven. I've never had a better one anywhere and if you love pizza you'll understand when I say this calzone is juicy and at least ten times better than you hope it's gonna be. We may go back this weekend. I'm hooked on this place!

The place is really nice and clean. The people there are very nice it was our first time and they took the time to explain what they're known for etc. tons of food they give you on your plate. I would definitely come again.

We ordered this via Goldbelly to be delivered to us in Mountain View, CA. Got the package for 2 deep dish and 2 thin crust pizzas. We ordered a little over a week in advance and was able to get free shipping. Our delivery was shipped overnight from Chicago and arrived on the estimated delivery date. All the pizzas were packed pretty well in a styrofoam box with ice packs.

The only minor issue was that one of the thin crusts might have been knocked around by an ice pack because the crust pierced the plastic wrap and cracked a bit. I just wrapped it a bit more with Saran wrap and put into the freezer for a future meal. Otherwise all the pizzas arrived intact. My husband and I were very impressed with the taste and quality of the meatball deep dish!

That was the only one we tried so far. I followed the instructions by thawing the pizza in the fridge for two nights, instead of one night, since we weren't ready to eat it the next day. Baked at 400F for 45 mins on a cookie sheet and everything came hot and deliciously gooey. I can't wait to try the other pizzas in the future. This would be a good gift idea for special occasions since people are more hesitant to eat in restaurants due to the pandemic -- bring the restaurant to them! It was super fun to get authentic Chicago pizza delivered straight to our door in California.

Ordered online. $140 of cheese is what we got. we dug through the cheese and found 4 pieces of sausage and one tablespoon of sauce. our guests just stopped and we all looked at each other in disbelief, they called it the covid pizza one slice and you will never need toilet paper again, your system will shut down. talked to one of the owners. over confident and not really interested in the fact that things could have gone wrong for us. all 3 pizzas went straight to the trash. think he offered to make things right. NEVER

We were so excited to be able to get their pizza's shipped to us in SC. I had never tried their pies, but with all the great reviews, we decided to order a 4 pack through Goldbelly.com. I lived in Chicago for twenty years, so am quite knowledgeable about the various great pizzas available in The Windy City and its suburbs. We really liked this gift pack as it included thin crust, which is our favorite.

The pie cooked up nicely and certainly showed promise. Unfortunately, after letting it rest for a couple minutes and then digging in, something was off. There was a slight gummyness to the crust, and a weird almost wax like aftertaste that coated the mouth after eating a piece. The sausage, which we so crave and miss on the Southeast Coast was average.

We ended up throwing more than half away. Considering we have been transplants for awhile and lived in many bad pizza towns, we have become quite adept at making our pies at home both Chicago thin and deep dish. My partner agreed with me, when I said our crafted pizzas were far superior to the Bartolini's version. In this shipment we received another thin and two deep dish pizzas. We so dearly hope that this restaurant redeems itself when we try the other variety. Otherwise, it was a colossal waste of over $100.
