I can't say enough about Caterman. We hired them for my daughter's wedding Which was durin the peak of covid restrictions. Carmen was ery helpful and patient with us. The food was delicious from appetizers to buffet meal. The on-site staff were all professional, friendly and went beyond what I expected from set up to clean up. Thank you for making the day amazing

I worked with Camen for catering services for our wedding in San Jose. He was wonderful to work with and ensured that everything went smoothly on the day of. He was very detail oriented and gave us plenty of suggestions and tips of realistic expectations and was very helpful in the planning process. Would highly recommend!

Excellent service! We had the chance to do a tasting before the event and that gave us the confidence everything would be just perfect for our guests. Food and service was 5 stars and guests were very satisfied. We definitely recommend this company. Chicken Marsala was our favorite!

This guy is amazing. I would recommend them to them to anyone. It's tough to make great food for every meal and this caterer really does a great job for each meal. They served us breakfast, lunch, and dinner and each meal was amazing.

Carmen and Caterman catering, along with Chef and staff did my amazing wedding event! Carmen was exemplary, patient and kind in helping me with the menu, coordinating the rentals, showing up early for set up and tear down. They used my kitchen for prep and left it cleaner than before! All my guests raved about the food! I still had plenty of leftovers even after guests had 2nd and 3rd helping. I'd recommend the Wedding menu we had planned (see menus pic).

I loved the prime rib and carving station! If you're undecided about your catering, I'd highly recommend Caterman. It's excellent, convenient with the tent, table and chair rentals and affordable! My wife and I can not thank Caterman Catering enough for the fantastic job they did providing food for our wedding. The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful enough to keep all our guests fed and provide us with left overs for the after party as was as the next few days. We highly recommend them as not only was the food good but the staff were friendly and polite. Carmen, the owner, was courteous and responded quickly to any questions we had leading up to the wedding and even made helpful suggestions when both my wife and I could not figure out what we wanted. We hired Caterman Catering for our wedding almost three years ago and it was delicious! The service was fantastic as well. Communication is speedy and so thorough. Easy to review the menu, pay online, etc. We ordered from them again this week for our family's Thanksgiving meal. Amazing again! We are still eating leftovers and they are SO good! We had a great experience with Caterman for our wedding, from the delicious tasting (with lots to take home) to the incredible responsiveness for even last minute changes to the guest count. Caterman and Carmen even went out of their way to help us get additional supplies from their contacts such as a PA speaker system! The sea bass and shrimp skewers were particularly tasty!

The food is FANTASTIC and the service is absolutely impeccable! They are so professional and take care of every detail. I honestly feel like my review can't do them proper justice. I will be referring them to EVERYONE I know and using them for every party or event we have. You'll be wasting our hard earned money if you spend it anywhere else. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

We chose Caterman Catering for our wedding and lemme just say that working with them was so easy and they're all so professional and so coordinated! Kayla was so nice and so accommodating and completely hands on especially on our big day. She knows what she's talking about and she didn't disappoint. Everyone knows and could relate on how stressful it is to plan a wedding and to think that we planned our wedding in a little less than 3 months but still had such an amazing experience, we just cannot ask for more.

One of the biggest selling point to us was that Kayla made sure we wouldn't be hungry (all couples I know told me that they're starving on the day of their wedding!). The servers were so nice and they made sure we would get a taste of the food and man oh man the food was AMAZING! Every guest was happy and fed and they couldn't help but to tell us how amazing the service and the food were.

We also decided to get our rentals from them because we just felt so confident that they'd do such a great job since we did our tasting (we said yes to their catering and rental services on the day of the tasting!) and they totally did not disappoint. Our reception was everything we could ever imagine. We chose to have another appetizer added (can't have a wedding or a party without lumpia), so we purchased the rolls and had it frozen and they were kind enough to fry it on our wedding day and serve it.

We got so surprised that they even provided the sweet and spicy sauce for it. It was these little details that truly amazed us. The team also was the one who set up everything with our florist and they totally just blew us away and completely took us and our guest to the backyard barbecue spring wonderland garden of our dreams! We couldn't be more thankful to everyone most especially to Kayla- you're a delight, to the chef for the most amazing food- my dad and my husband's mom are very particular but they're very much amazed by the food! To the staff and bartender- everyone was talking about the superb service and everyone's professionalism (everyone was so nice!)

Caterman is so amazing the food was so delicious everything was on time very friendly service I am blown away by the flavors the variety he was very nice and the food was the best food I've ever tasted In my whole life.

Caterman catering was God-sent! I had a Halloween birthday party for my daughter. It was a somewhat large party, more than 50 people came. Caterman catering made my job very easy. Since this was my first time, I did not know what to expect. I was pretty nervous, as I am a perfectionist. But everything turned out better than I expected. The food was delicious, they set my table up very presentably, and they were very caring and gentle. They helped me with the details I did not think of. Now having big parties is not intimidating for me! Thanks Caterman, I am looking forward to working with you again.

This company never seems prepared for our crew. The food is pretty inconsistent in quality and selection. There is always a vegetarian option but there are not always vegetables. This is my experience of about two months not just a few days. As a diabetic, I would appreciate better nutritional value and the salad that is always available does not have enough nutritional value. This morning, the whole crew was on a less than eight hour turn around and they ran out of half and half for our coffee five minutes before our start time.

Where do I start? Missed meetings, failed follow ups, constant apologies for issues along the way getting a quote. But the worst is after confirming the date was available, reviewing details of the order Kayla for almost an hour, I followed up no less than three times over the course of a week to get the rental finalized. I finally got an email stating: "we can no longer accept any events for the weekend of your event" This catering company is overwhelmed by the basic process to serve its potential customers, giving false information and horrible communication processes. Do not waste your time as I did as this endeavor cost me two weeks of time with nothing to show for it but this review

Kayla is such a sweet lady and a great pleasure to work with. We feel so lucky for choosing caterman catering as our wedding caterer. From the very beginning, they offered us a complimentary tasting, which was absolutely delicious, and showed their sincerity to their potential customer. Kayla made the following preparation process easy and transparent.

She was very flexible for random meetings that we requested and can always give us good advice on things that we were not sure of. On the wedding day, the whole caterer team was very effective in setting up, and also cleaning up. The food was very tasty, and I heard positive feedback from our guests as well. Amazing service and delicious food! This is a family-owned business and they work hard to meet your needs. The menu items are priced very well and you can customize your selections. Kayla (event coordinator) was very friendly & helpful. The chef was so nice and took pride in his work. We'll definitely use them for all of our events in the future.

I hired caterman catering for my husbands surprise birthday party this past weekend. I had a wonderful experience with them, starting with Kayla. She was wonderful to work with extremely helpful with my decision making, seeing as I hadn't catered an event of this size before. Our theme was Mardi Gras and the food was AMAZING!. Blanca and her staff were phenomenal, her attention to detail with the table decoration set up and presentation of the food truly wonderful. I was able to enjoy the party and not worry about anything, can't thank them enough.

Polly and Mike are the best! We used Four Seasons catering for our wedding this past September and we still get compliments of how delicious our food was. Mike and Polly are genuine, sweet, and truly want to make your event the best. They communicate very well, respond quickly. I had no worries from the minute we met them and knew they would be the right choice. We would highly recommend them!

This is the one review I've been dying to review since the conclusion of our wonder day and it couldn't have happened without Caterman. From the very beginning, Caterman has been so accommodating and professional with their services. Not only that, we really couldn't have pulled it off without the help of their coordinator, Kayla, who also provided day of coordination services. We've consulted with quite a few caterers and we were so lucky to find Caterman. Caterman provided very reasonable prices and the food was superb.

Instead of the traditional buffet or selection of dishes served (fish, chicken, beef), we opted for theme stations to satisfy all of our guests dietary needs. Fisherman's Wharf for seafood, Chinatown for Asian food, Haight for vegan food, North Beach for Italian food, and Castro for meats. Caterman went with the idea and executed it perfectly and everyone is still raving about the food.

They were generous in portions and we even had leftovers to take back to our hotel's after party. And the service on that day was tremendous. We chose a venue that had quite strict requirements with the setup and cleanup hours and Caterman set up on time and did all the setup for my decorations. We dropped off a lot of decorations go Kayla and alcohol as well (they provide licensed bartenders) so we were able to provide open bar all night long.

Not only that, our venue was in SF and Caterman went all the way up from San Jose and set everything up perfectly. Btw, did I mention I'm very particular about the details and pretty much a control freak?!? I could go on and on about how wonderful Caterman is but the pictures may do it more justice. I wish I took more pictures of the food! If only they were closer to my work, I would demand work to have them as our catering vendor! Thank you so much Kayla, Semin, and the entire team for making the best day of our life!

My husband and I worked with Ruth at Caterman Catering and were so pleased with their work at our April wedding. We planned our Palo Alto (California) wedding from abroad and Ruth was very accommodating and easy to correspond with. The food at our wedding was so delicious and they also helped plate the desserts and wedding cake that our friends made. The staff that worked at the wedding was also extremely friendly and professional. I was very impressed with their work! I definitely recommend Caterman Catering and Ruth!

The owner and I came to a mutual resolution out of court in regards to our event. We will never get the day back nor can this ever be truly rectified. Semuh provided us the remainder of our refund in exchange for deleting my husband's review and for me to update mine with a resolution. This agreement saved us both a trip to the court house. They've apologized, and we've chosen to move on, but I will never understand how this happened or in good conscience recommend Caterman's to anyone, especially since the same people who screwed up so royally are still employed there. Best of luck, and I hope they do better with every client who chooses them in the future.

I had countless people tell me that the food at the wedding tasting will not be as good as the wedding day. I'm thankful to say that was not the case with Caterman Catering! We had our wedding reception and ceremony in September 2017 at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga for 160+ people -- everything was perfect, and it is in large part due to Kayla and Caterman Catering.

From the beginning, Kayla was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and hugely helpful in assisting us with staying in our budget, curating our dinner menu, navigating our venue, providing guidance with our timeline, suggesting vendors, and our DIY ideas. On our wedding weekend, we dropped of our decorations and DIY floral arrangements, and Kayla and the Caterman Catering team handled the rest.

They did a fantastic job decorating our venue and helped make our DIY ideas come to life, such as our doughnut wall and dessert table. Their licensed bartenders also kept the drinks flowing and made good use of our ice sculpture luge. Now onto the food! We had a massive buffet for our reception, which included: *Romaine spears with traditional caesar dressing and shaved parmesan cheese *Roasted tri-tip with a trio of sauces -- this was a favorite among our guests since there were no leftovers! *Sage breaded boneless chicken breast with a dijon butter sauce *Ricotta filled tortellini with spring mushrooms, asparagus and a chardonnay butter sauce -- this was my favorite! *Roasted yukon gold potatoes *Blue lake green beans with roma tomatoes and roasted shallot oil *Ricotta filled tortellini with spring mushrooms, asparagus and a chardonnay butter sauce *Macaroni and cheese and chicken strips for the kids *Doughnuts, churros, and horchata for dessert Our guests loved the food, were well fed, and had such a great time. We are so glad and thankful to Kayla and the Caterman Catering staff for all of their help in making our wedding day the best day ever.

We used Caterman for our wedding one week ago by Golden Gate Bridge. Our guests raved about the food and it was delicious. We worked with both Kayla and Ruth. They were very flexible, patient, and professional. Not to mention generous in their portions. We definitely recommend them for any special event!

Caterman Catering is one of the best caterers we have tried in San Jose, California. They catered us last week for my sister's welcome party. My sister was so happy and said the food quality was great and we could see that their service was excellent. My cousins and all other guests had an amazing time eating the foods and since we had lots of leftover, they took home.

One of my aunts called me two days after the party just to say the food was great so I refer caterman catering to her in case whe wants a caterer in the future. I told her that with caterman catering service, she can have the perfect party for her event.
