I went in today me and my family ordered one menudo one chiliquillias plate and one burrito bean rice and cheese the first of all the burrito lack cheese the beans tasted like they're very old like the bottom of a pot, the menudo was about 4 lack flavor and the plate my wifey order was lacking sauce and the yoke to her Sunnyside egg was more of a hard boil egg and we paid about 60 the neither one of us finish last time I'm coming the service was slow tables weren't clean if I went to southern kitchen I had would have gotten top notch service food would've been on point and the price would have been lowered

Ordered $200+ dollars worth of food and all I asked was that they labeled the food so I knew which ones had no onions so I did not give anyone food with onions that had food allergies. They couldn't even do that. Wasted $200+ dollars and it ruined our party. DO NOT use GRUB-HUB they charge HUGE fees and do won't even allow you to view a group receipt for expenses. This is ridiculous. Food was terrible and bland with no taste. Super burritos had no meat and paid huge price for them. Avoid this place

I've been here once several years ago for tacos (mostly their handmade tortillas, made in house by a nice abuela), and they were great, so if you're looking for tacos, give them a shot! But this review is strictly for their burritos which I had more recently which are just. eh. First, the good: their burritos are huge! They're very filling.
Their super burrito, while it does run you about ~$16 with tax, is a hefty boy. They do seem to learn towards a bit more rice, but that's not actually a huge problem because their rice is actually really good. I got mine with chicharron, which was nice and fatty so it helped make the entire burrito moist. That being said, there are a lot of things that were lacking.
While I'm okay eating a burrito of mostly rice, most people. aren't? And a lot of my coworkers complained about it. Normally I'm of the opinion that what you get is what you get, but it was $16, so I kinda understand being a little miffed that you're getting *mostly* the cheapest ingredient. They also don't have al pastor as an option.
Sad :( Overall this place didn't leave a great impression in my mind, at least with regards to their burritos. I probably won't be back. --- sweet: good serving sizes, fresh tortillas (for tacos) bitter: burritos are mostly filler. no al pastor meat option.

Save your money we paid $100 for our food to get a Giant horse FLY inside our food. We hadn't even received most of our order, when my sister threw up from such a disgusting experience. We were offer a refund. From a $100 order they refunded us back $4 only for the tamal that had the FLY, what a joke. Mind you it was just 3 of us eating save your money, the place is over priced and slow service on top of unsanitary.

I've been eating at Casa Vicki for decades now, I just ordered from door dash a few things. A meat platter, my choice is always carnitas. My guy wanted chicken mole. We ordered extra rice and beans! The total was $82.75 Our food was delivered on a scooter! Even though my profile notes state clearly, "if your using any mode of transportation besides a motor vehicle don't pick up my order!" You know what I get every time?
Any version of delivery except a motor driven vehicle! You know what else I get each time? Cold food that costs three times as much as if I had driven there myself to pick it up! Casa Vicki and Door Dash ore not a good combination and way, way, way over F'ing over priced for what you get!

This place is a joke. Save your money. The service here is extremely slow, I don't know how long it takes to make a bean and cheese burrito. Apparently 15 to 20 minutes. Not to mention, the food is bland and It has no flavor. Literally six people working here, one of them taking her lunch break at noon. Nobody in the back making my food.

Casa Vicky catered our party this past weekend. The food was amazing! Everyone raved, many saying it was the best mexican food they ever had. The hand made tortillas of course are the "star", but the chili verde was also really special, deep rich flavor and I can say it was the best I've ever had and I have had many! Maria came with a helper to set everything up, she is adorable! Everything executed perfectly, I highly recommend them for catering.

When I read about this restaurant, the prospect of freshly made tortillas was promising. But the food was awful. I'll never come back. The tortillas were fresh, but strangely enough, lacking flavor. The flour tortillas were nothing like the excellent Sonoran style flour tortillas of Northern Mexico. The fresh corn tortilla was forgettable. I've had far better.
The beans were horrendous -- nothing authentic about these, tasting of gringo chili powder mixed in with some kind of fat and pinto beans. The cheese was not good. Chicken was dry and did not taste fresh. Rice was lacking flavor and it was clear the rice was not toasted long enough before the liquid was added. And the very worst part was a watery red enchilada sauce.
The consistency of water, yes, not a rich chile-based sauce. Awful! Come on, you can do so much better! The chips were tasty. The salsa offered is an uninspired basic tomato salsa with serranos.

Bottom line: a small business where quality and freshness of flamey ingredients shine. Somehow when combined into a burrito, the sum is lesser than its inputs. We enjoyed a vege burrito, mojado super burrito, side of rice, side of beans, side of tortillas. *****side of tortillas***** Pack of 10, freshly made. They feel fresh to the touch. Straight fire to the taste.
You can actually taste a nice blend of flour and some sort of fatty binding agent. *****side of rice***** It's moist, it's seasoned, it's flamey. A scoop of it alone is a joya le experience in your mouth *****side of beans***** It's moist, it's season, it's straight fuego. Just slightly running. Mostly a solid form of bean, great with a little rice and salsa. ****vege burrito**** This is where things don't compute.
How could a burrito made of 3 fire ingredients not itself be fire. Impossible to say. You just know when you bite into it, it's great but not the best burrito you've ever had. Even the addition of sour cream, cheese, and guacamole can't push it to a five: ****Mojado Super Buritto**** A super burrito with carne asada Smothered in enchilada sauce and cheese. Eat with your eyes, straight fire. Initial smell, and you're drooling. Half way through the burrito, and your somehow a looking for more.

First time here so my review will probably change as I try more on their menu. This review is only for their SUPER BURRITO! I tried their Super Burrito w. carnitas. A solid burrito, they make their tortilla in-house and their carnitas are pretty fire. So why 3 stars? The burritos are wayyy too expensive. I looked up their menu on yelp expecting to pay $10 for a burrito but prices have been updated and a Super Burrito will cost you $15.
But whatever. the pictures of the burritos on yelp are HUGE! Worth it right? I was expecting a chipotle size burrito. one you could barely fold BUT instead you get chipotles little brother. Great for a snack but leaving you slightly unsatisfied as a meal. I'll be back to try other things on their menu and taco tuesdays. but will most likely never get their burritos again because the value for price didn't make sense. (To end on a high note - their pico and green sauce is pretty fire)

I come here quite often.usually like it too. The last 2 visits, the service has been slow. I have not been greeted in the friendly way as I usually am. The food has not been that great. This last time. the tacos I ordered were so wet. the tortilla got soggy from all the meat juice. The tortilla ripped when I lifted it up. Maybe with so much meat juice 2 tortillas are needed. I got carnitas but it had weird color to it. Tasted different too. They were slightly busy at about 1:30 pm. Chips were all broken up.

Looking for the best hand made flour tortillas in San Jose?! Look no further, Casa Vicky tortillas are it! We love stopping by for tortillas on special occasions and they're always a hit. I got lucky this weekend and they were fresh off the griddle, nice and warm, I couldn't resist and so ripped off a piece as soon as I got into my car. Thank you Casa Vicky for making delicious tortillas!

IMHO Have I mentioned the great, personal customer service here at Casa Vicky? We always feel very welcomed and valued when we come here. Just that feeling alone makes me want to return again and again. Please do! This family run business cares about the quality food and service they bring to their customers. Tip: If Paul is there, ask about the "secret menu"! Think "burrito bowl"!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Casa Vicky has been serving-up classic home-style Mexi grub since 1968. They're mostly known for their housemade corn tortillas (which are available for sale on-site) that are made with a bit of showmanship, as the process is visible to both diners and passerby's from the street. I used to come here quite a bit for breakfast but lately mostly for lunch.
My last few visits have been pretty disappointing and I'm finding myself wanting to visit them less and less. Here's a Good, Meh & Ugly: The Good: -Housemade corn and flour tortillas are always on-point -Great selection of chow as they pretty much have every spectrum in the Mexi rainbow to offer from tacos and burritos to mariscos and desserts -Most--if not all--the food is made in-house The Meh: -Prices have gone up quite a bit while overall flavor of the food has gone down -They've gotten super-stingy with their complimentary chips and salsa; see my pic from last Dec '18 vs the pic from yesterday (May '19) for comparison.
The Ugly: -Customer service is just really disorganized and bad. My co-worker just ordered a pancake breakfast (don't ask he's a weirdo) and it took them over twenty minutes to bring it out. -Also, one server brought me out the chips but no salsa?! What the actual hell. I waited for 5min before I had to get up and ask for it myself. I feel bad because I usually have a soft spot in my heart-probably from years of abuse but whatever-for OG places like this but I can't go any higher than 3-stars. I'll check back in a few months and see if anything's changed and I'll gladly up my review.

When going to SJSU lived close to Casa Vicky. I had my graduation party here in the adjacent mini house next to the restaurant. The food taste like home cooking not like Taco Bell. I love their corn tortillas, soups. Everything taste fresh. Customer service is good, restaurant is clean. A classic in Mexican cooking. Parking is not an issues.
