We use our famous homemade marinara sauce, basil pesto or garlic and extra virgin olive oil, a generous layer of our whole milk mozzarella-provolone cheese blend, and fresh toppings and ingredients. For that fresh-from-the-oven taste, order your pizza half-baked to be finished to perfection at home.

Very easy place to get some wonderful catered food! Also, while you're there setting up your catering, don't forget to get a piece of some of the best pizza you'll ever have! The crust is to die for! :-

Pizza was very good. Unfortunately they were understaffed so our order placed at 3:30 for a 4:30 pickup wasn't ready until after 5.

Best pizza in town! Tell them how you want it! Excellent staff. Good but small selection. Maybe 2 or 3 oils. Stuffed grape.leaves good. Cannolis excellent. Fresh pasta, ravioli, etc made on site is great. I 1st expected big italian joint but not. Look forward to frozen and other in house treats you'll enjoy. Wines? They fall down. Forget that. Try and see. As a pizza expert I'll defend.my opening statement to the end.

The smell of this Italian market and deli is intoxicating when you walk in! They make fresh pasta, dough and many different types of sandwiches and pasta salads to go along with an Italian imported goods section. You can buy their pasta frozen or fresh and same goes with the dough. I loved everything I bought here including spinach fettuccine and whole wheat frozen dough The service was top notch, super helpful and friendly with helping me pick out some Italian red wine too!

Definitely a great local business. I get really good service and really good fresh pasta for way too cheap given how good it is. The pesto they make is amazing and the overall varieties of pasta and ingredients there make it worth my money every time. Their wine selection is also on point too.

I love this little gem. The food is great. My favorite pizza in Cville. The frozen products are great takeaways - got the frozen pumpkin ravioli for dinner tonight.

I've been delivering here for a few months and it always smells good when I come in. Today I had some time to grab a bite so I did just that. I asked for a slice of pizza because I've had a hankering for NY style pizza since I've moved to Virginia and haven't had any luck. I can say that this pizza was awesome! Close enough to NY style without the greasiness. The price was also reasonable compared to other pizza joints in town who can't match this place at all. Keep up the good work. I'm coming back to try more dishes.

Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed our sandwiches. Val'dAosta Sandwich was super unique and tasty (Salty ham, buttery focaccia bread, fontina cheese, and red pepper mustard). Lots of flavor and like no sandwich I've ever had. Turkey muffaletta was also solid, and had the quintessential olive salad and hearty ciabatta bread. Staff was super friendly and made you feel like family. We can't wait to go back for pizza or prepared entrees.

For how good this place is, it doesn't get enough buzz. Hidden in plain sight, MLP sits on Preston next to the more popular Sticks. Unassuming, this store-restaurant makes incredible sandwiches. My personal favorite the Da Vinci sits between a crusty, chewy seeded bread. The layers of cured meats, cheese, and dressed greens create the perfect ratio of salt, fat, and acid. I always leave so satisfied and highly recommend adding MLP to your Charlottesville sandwich repertoire.

We ordered two days of lunch catering through Jim at Mona Lisa Pasta, and will definitely be using them in the future! 50+ people all loved the food. The first day was a variety of sandwiches and the second was lasagna, so it was easy to use the same place but feel like a different meal. The food was plentiful, and there were good vegetarian and gluten-free options for folks with allergies. Highly recommend

Consistently great customer service and the best Italian food in Charlottesville, hands down. Fresh bag of pasta is so easy to cook at home, the chicken parm is THE best you will have anywhere, the pizza is made to perfection and lasagna is incredible as well. Grab food from the ready made section to take home to cook or get prepared take-out which is our Friday night ritual, either way you will not be disappointed!

Great fresh pasta to go. A staple in our kitchen. Plus wonderful sauces to go on them. And a yummy blend of Romano & Parmigian cheeses. All done in house. Authentic, well priced and great staff too. What's not to love.

I picked up sandwiches here for a wine tour picnic and it was just perfect. We called in an order and they were ready with it on time and in boxes. We had two sandwiches with special orders, which they accommodated with no hesitation (and were really clear in the labeling as well). The staff was very nice and helpful, even providing us with paper plates and napkins. The food was tasty and everyone commented on how much they loved it. The prices are a steal and the sandwiches are large portions.

Being a born & bred Brooklyn guy, it is a rare gem of a find to locate a place that comes close to the Brooklyn food experience. Great cold cuts, bread that sings, the smell of marinara cooking in the back--- friendly foodie service, and a great assortment of to-go foods-- Proved one of my theories-- went in the back to talk to the staff, and sure enough, the guy making the pasta sheets is from Brooklyn.

This is a crew and staff that are justifiably proud of their craft and product. It's a real sign of culinary respect when other cooks come to eat there-- and the place was filled with an assortment of local crews, eating, talking food and all the bonhomie that goes with it. Bravo! Mangiere a tutti--c'est bellisimo

Really love the pasta and the price wasn't too bad. Customer service lost them a star, maybe should have lost two for it. Really left a lot to be desired. Maybe the girl was just having a bad day but she barely made eye contact and acted as though us coming in was a huge burden on her life.

I really enjoyed the market and sandwich shop. The person that served me was not the friendliest, but the rest of the staff was pleasant. My sandwich was fresh and affordable. There are just a couple tables, so be prepared to take your food to go.

I heard great things about this place from a friend and really wanted to try their fresh pasta. I ended up buying a bag of frozen ravioli (only sold frozen!), the chicken and prosciutto one, and I was really sad that I didn't love it. I have had really amazing pasta from some friends with the fresh noodles from here though, so I plan to come back and buy those and some sauce. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The location is clean and warm and I plan to go back soon.

I recently moved to Charlottesville and my family and I found this little gem by accident. Omg where do I start? The staff (owners?) are very friendly and happy to give recommendations. We hung out and got a large pizza (plenty for three people) half sausage and onion and half pear Gorgonzola. Both were great but the pear Gorgonzola was the definite winner.

Even my dad (who wasn't too sure about pears on pizza) loved it! When you look in the back you can see the fire that they cook the pizzas over. They have a fun selection of wines to browse through, although you can't drink any of them on the premises We bought a loaf of sourdough bread and their frozen chicken Parmesan to take home for another meal.

The bread was amazing and the chicken parm was soooo good! I would recommend baking it about 5 minutes longer than the instruction, but all in all, very simple and tasty dinner. I wish they could get a larger location and maybe do wine tasting.food for thought you guys!

A common theme in Charlottesville, I think this place is better reviewed/received because of the limited competition. Their fresh pasta is OK but nowhere near as good as I want it to be. They do have good olive oil, cheese.

I got the rosemary and garlic pasta to make at home and it was so delicious. The wet pasta in the bag smelled so good so I couldn't wait to cook it! The pasta when cooked actually retained its flavor so I liked it with just olive oil. Super unique shop that's definitely worth stopping by. I had never bought fresh cut wet pasta from a store before in its doughy form so it was special! The prices were also very reasonable ($4/pound of pasta and 1 pound was a VERY hefty portion, probably 4 servings).

Hand-cut pasta, home made sauce, and a bevy of delicious Italian sandwiches to go? Count me in. I came across this gem the other night and was pleasantly surprised. It is a small local shop that offers everything from a counter full of meats, olives, and cheeses, to a few shelves full of pasta, wine, and other Italian finds. I purchased dolmas, La Giaconda which had fresh mozzarella, zesty tomatoes and basil, and the Da Vinci which was a conglomerate of "three-seed baton with genoa salami, sopresatta, provolone cheese, tomato, mixed greens, house dressing and sun-dried tomato pesto". Everything I ordered turned out excellent. For $5.99 per sandwich I felt it was well worth the money. I'm definitely ocming back!
