Richard Jones Pit BBQ originated in Austin, TX. It was franchised in California by owner Will Mynar in 1982. Will decided to set up his first location in Anaheim Hills, CA. Will and his family soon needed to expand. That is when the decision was made to open a 2nd restaurant. The 2nd restaurant was established in Fullerton, CA.
We provide event services tailored to your event. Do you need guest seating for 400 guests? We can do it. Do you need specialty umbrellas for that beautiful out door wedding? From small executive meetings, corporate team building events, elegant engagement parties, or a festive themed event, Richard Jones Pit BBQ Catering has all the services you need for every special event.
REAL TEXAS STYLE BBQ can only be achieved by slowly cooking meats at low temperatures with lots of smoke from real Hickory logs. The flame does not come in contact with our meat thus enhancing the natural flavor. Richard Jones Pit BBQ Catering cooks our meats up to 16 hours of mouth watering perfection in our special enclosed hickory wood burning pits.

Richard Jones Pit BBQ catered our wedding March 31, 2018. Every dish was delicious and our friends and family complimented how great the food was. My husband and I had a food tasting with Pancho and he was very informative and answered all of our questions. When it got closer to the wedding I spoke with Marcia and Pancho and they were both very helpful with finalizing the menu and timeline for serving.
I really appreciate the great communication! We had tri tip, chicken breast, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, vegetables and Caesar salad on our menu. The macaroni and cheese was so good that we froze some of the leftover so we could eat it when we got back from our honeymoon. We are so happy we picked them to cater our wedding and highly recommend them. Thank you to everyone at Richard Jones Pit BBQ for your help and for the great experience!

Had a chance to try this delicious catering food at a private event and the food was amazing! Not only was each item prepared to the most Delicious and high quality but the staff was very professional as well. Everything from asking if you need anything to helping you get the food and cleaning up after the whole experience was great! Highly recommended
