Brisket Bar-B-Q

The signs on the door say" Permanently Closed"closed. closed. permanently closed. out of business, permanently closed.update: I just talked to the owner as he was walking into the New York Eatery @ 2:00 pm today. he confirmed that BRISKET BAR-B-Q is now permanently closed and has been closed for about a week. The New York Eatery is about a block away and has been open for about 4 months. it used to be a CVS, so maybe locals will know the place.

The owner of Brisket bbq told me that most of the Brisket bbq menu will be available starting in July at the New York Eatery. also there is a new bagel/bakery shop next door. I hope everyone can join me in wishing a great success to these new businesses. their breakfast menu is available all day

Great and tasty barbecue place. There Texas Barbecue special is great value for the money. Better hurry though: the owners are retiring and the last day is June 6th of 2022.

Got the brisket sandwich; great portion size of brisket, try the sweet bbq sauce to go on it! Would definitely go back! Not paying for ambience there though, needs a remodel.

The Brisket and the rice could have been a little more flavorful. The lunch special was a good deal and you get enough food.

We went for lunch today and had brisket, sausage, and baked potatoes. Every bite was delicious. I really liked the BBQ sauce too. Will definitely return.

It was the leanest brisket I've ever had. Not an ounce of fat on it. When I go to Pappas I have to throw a good portion of the "meat" away because it's fat, here nothing was wasted, my son & myself were able to eat every ounce we purchased. Great service as well.

Food was not done ribs not done all the way brisket has no taste. Sausage tough and taste less.

I think this is one of the best bar b q places in town, even driving past can make you hungry. And it is in a cute little plaza here in Bellair. Great place for a meal.

Good food and good service. My 13 year old loves this place. The St. Louis Ribs are a good flavor and great tasting. We have had the sausage poboy, smoked turkey, brisket, and the ribs. We have yet to be disappointed with the food yet.

Not my speed it's a very healthy unseasoned bbq didn't know that could happen but it's clean very nice services prices ok great for old ppl or if your on a diet

Their brisket is soooo delicious! If you go on wednesdays they have a brisket chef salad on special and it's so good! I can never eat it all! Gotta take half home!

The food is amazing was looking for ribs in Houston all day most of the spots were close but this place was still open.the workers were very friendly and nice I will be coming back!

So I go normally every week here and buy $50 worth of food every week and the Hispanic lady that is cashier always has a attitude like if I did somthing to her went in today for 2 baked potatoes and sandwich's combos and asked for bbq sauce on side she was trying to give me the small ones and I was like they always give me the medium ones and she repeated her self and I was like I heard you but I want the medium ones she got mad rolled her eyes like if you don't want my money hey let me know I'll go to another bbq place every one else was really cool just that one Hispanic lady pretty sad how she treats her own people like she better then some one else not to mention when she fixed my baked potato there was a hair in my food now I gotta go back and here I am writing the review in front her

Very good comfort food. I usually prefer chopped meat for a sandwich but the brisket slices were tender and I liked it. The service was friendly and quick.

This is the best BBQ spot in Houston. The cashier is amazing the cooks are amazing. They treat you like family. My favorite is the baked potato.

Today was the first time going there. Reason why is because my wife saw the stuffed baked potato sign under the name of the restaurant outside. The place was very spacious and clean (COVID-19 friendly), employees were VERY friendly and a good food selection. My wife ordered a pork stuffed baked potato (of course) which was delicious and Texas-size huge! It'll be almost impossible to eat the whole thing in one sitting.

I had a bbq chili cheese burger. To be honest, it was the best bbq burger I've ever had. The chili was delicious and was very filling. Overall their bbq was just right; not overpowering smoky, and their bbq sauce was very good. Just a word to everyone out there personally from me, not coming from the restaurant: Support your local restaurants! There's a lot of mom-and-pop restaurants such as this one that is very good and are hidden gems that need our support. If you should happen to run into one that has good food, spread the word! They need our support.

Staff was nice and very helpful! The brisket was juicy, tender, and was delicious. Not really into ribs but I tried them and liked them. Loaded potato was also very good. Overall, a good experience. I saw the previous reviews and have to disagree. I thought it was season well.

First time ordering from here in a while. I'm currently all about the deliver given covid and social distancing. I ordered a stuffed baked potato with double sausage. The spud arrived fully loaded and bagged as I expected. Sauce coverage was medium, and overall flavor of meat was more on the mild side. Potato itself had a good flavor with the cheese, green onions, and sour cream.

Overall its a good local place with what you'd expect from a bbq joint. Overall I'd probably give the place 3 stars for bbq, esp considering the competition in the area, but as for this last order, 4 stars on the stuffed spud and smooth delivery service!

Best potato in town. If are in Houston don't miss this place. Come at least 4 days a week! Friendly staff clean and always fast service.

This place was trash. was not seasoned at all. This all i gotta say but it's making me type longer but yeah it sucked

This is Texas, right? Just checking because the brisket at this place tastes like brisket made based off of a description given by someone who has never had brisket. It is edible but it is also bland, no salt, just boring. The barbecue sauce was equally as boring. I was hoping I'd be able to add something more positive to this review but other than the staff being nice and it being relatively easy to get in and out it was not worth it. Save yourself the disappointment.

We stopped here for lunch the other day. The brisket is lean, but dry and doesn't have a rich flavor. The turkey wasn't bad, but also on the dry side. We enjoyed the sides of macaroni and cheese, chili, and the potato salad. The baked beans were bland.

This is an old standard that is consistently good. The sides are all solid, brisket is sliced a little too think and dries out. I like a brisket with lots of pepper and thick crust. Blood brothers around the corner could learn something from their sides, keep them basic and do them right. Keep it up.

Had some food delivered. Not good. Brisket was undercooked, felt like rubber. Frys needed a little more frying. Baked potato was loaded with BBQ sauce we didn't want and the Bacon bits are a disgrace. Driver was friendly, food sucks, except the cans of 7up lol. Will not order there again.
