I can not say enough good things about my delivery today! Donald was fantastic and very kind. He was prompt with the delivery and got everything delivered before our flight. Shawn called earlier in the week to get some more details on logistics just to make sure that everything went smoothly today. I really appreciate it!
Fabulous to deal with! I had a family gathering of 26 for two meals in a "remote" location. La Prima was great to work with despite the distance from Philly. They were so helpful in selecting items within my budget. They showed up on time, the presentation was very well arranged, and most importantly - the food was delicious! They even provided containers for the leftovers and took trash with them!

Rob from La Prima Catering Willow Grove was excellent to work with. He went above and beyond to make our catering needs for our meeting successful and not stressful! His communication and kindness was excellent. I highly recommend ordering catering services through him for work or personal events! Thank you, Rob, for all your hard work and help!

Karen isn't there and hasn't been since Fall of 2017. So we had our wedding all planned out and the exact same thing happened to us as happened to the other reviewing couple. About a month before the wedding we were told Gabrielle would be taking over- upon our first meeting it was apparent that she had not thoroughly reviewed our already signed contract and set food menu.
They tried to pull the whole extra money per person for the same amount of food (same as another poster) and we pushed back a bit (did I mention we had a signed contract from months prior?). We kept hoping it would get better but it only got worse- we were informed the week of our wedding that Gabrielle might not be able to make it because she was dealing with a personal tragedy.
We felt horribly for her but our sympathy was somewhat tapered by the fact that instead of telling us she would not be able to make our wedding a few days out or even introducing us to the person who might standing in her place, we arrived to the venue the day of the wedding and was THEN told that we would be greeted by another point of contact person.
Oh it gets worse, hang on- so not only did this new person (name redacted because she was put in an awful spot by the company) but she appeared to have no knowledge of the actual venue so when I respectfully requested the air temperature be lowered, I had to do so at least twice. I nicely asked that the lights be dimmed a bit because it looked like a high school gym or cafeteria when we walked into the reception- the lights were actually turned off for about a minute and then turned all the way bright while our guests were eating their dinner.
The bartenders didn't tap our keg properly and were serving our guests foam in cups and although we provided a list of the alcohol and beer we had provided, they told my sister in law that there was no gin (there were about 5 handles of gin and this was in the beginning of the night so we were not running low at that point). Then they proceeded to tell our guests that they didn't know what the beer was (again we provided a list and we only had one keg- spoiler alert: the type of beer was written on the list), later in the night they told other guests it was Yuengling (it was Paulaner Oktoberfest).
We were supposed to have double face outs of all of our food (it was buffet style) but that didn't happen so we had some of our elderly loved ones hobbling across the large reception area just to get a piece of short rib. Lastly, one of the staff members ripped through a gift we had accidentally left there overnight and stole $100 out of my husband's grandmother's card- the empty card was left in our rental linens bag and the gift itself was ripped open.
When we reached out to Rob, we were really just looking for an explanation, a proper apology and maybe reimbursement for the keg which his company's staff had completely ruined (we had to dump the entire keg out in the parking lot the day after), we were met with deflecting, rudeness and eventually screaming. Yes, he actually yelled at us. He tried to shame us and accuse us of thinking we hired a wedding planner.
We were so taken back, upset and infuriated that we threatened to sue them for their numerous breaches of contract, they settled out of court with us but it will still never make up for them ruining our wedding day. I do want to give credit to the kitchen- the food itself was phenomenal and the chef even made a point to chat with our two other friends who were chefs. My advice to their chef that chef'ed our wedding? GET OUT- you are way too good for that company.

I have used La Prima on two occasions and every one of our guests was delighted by the quality and flavors of all the food. The first event was a bridal shower I hosted for my sister in August of 2017. Everything was perfect, which help make the event successful. - food arrived on time, in fact early - they thought of everything, plates, napkins, serving utensils, cups, etc. - the delivery person gave me clear instructions on how to handle the variety of food for best and safe serving, they even send carafes for coffee and hot beverages because they thought the commute from their kitchen to the party was long enough to chill the hot items. -top picks from that order were: caesar salad, buffalo chicken dip, and every sandwich was delicious!
My second order was work-related and again the same exceptional service was provided with delicious sandwiches, cookies, and salads. They even sent an extra cookies. I highly recommend La Prima and will definitely use them again!

We hired Karen and Laprima for our wedding on 4/29/17. We were not the easiest to work with because we wanted a certain type of reception and feel. Karen through it all was very upfront and calm. Her cool demeanor was actually the reason we hired her. We had no worries the day of our wedding. People raved about how great the food was and how much they ate.
Someone just told us they ate so much and the food was one of the best at any wedding. Karen and her staff ensured we were good the entire night. They served us and continued to check on us. My bride was beyond amazed at the attentiveness of the staff. We never heard of any issues and they were extremely professional. They can be a bit pricey, but it is worth it. Karen worked with us and made sure we were comfortable.
She was very upfront with us! We look forward to using them again for our next event. Give them a call and see what they have to offer. They will not disappoint. I promise you!

We hired Karen and LaPrima for our wedding in September at the Highlands in Fort Washington. Karen was a dream to work with. She was so calm and attentive and never made us feel rushed or pressured. You would have thought that we were her only clients. She was quick to answer any questions we had. She worked with us to choose a meal that fit our budget.
It was very important to us that the food be exceptional. We basically got to create our own menu. Our guests commented on how good the food was. One even stated that out of all the many weddings he had attended, our food was the best. The staff was very kind and friendly and very good at their job. Everything went very smoothly. We would recommend Karen and LaPrima to anyone that wants top quality and service but at a reasonable price.

We used La Prima Catering for our wedding this past May, and highly recommend them! We found La Prima through the preferred catering list at our venue (Highlands Mansion and Gardens, in Fort Washington) and actually called down the list until we found someone who could work within our budget. Karen was wonderful to work with. She listened to all of our concerns/questions (especially regarding our finances) and really put us both at ease.
We had a great tasting before the wedding, the food was absolutely delicious, and it felt like we had a great collaboration with food ideas and linen/dinnerware selections. Karen really cares about giving couples, such as us, the wedding we envisioned. Karen went the extra mile and stayed with us for the whole ceremony/reception, supervising and coordinating.
It was such a great relief especially with the stresses of being a bride/groom! She also decorated the venue for us with my DIY centerpieces and decorations, I can't possibly thank her enough! I highly recommend La Prima Catering, and hiring Karen as your caterer/coordinator/therapist;) and all around amazing person!

I do not know where to begin. My entire experience with La Prima from my first Meeting w Karen, the sales manager to my event was beyond amazing. Karen not only helped me plan my menu but she went above and beyond in assisting in so many other areas. Figuring out my linens, what sizes to order, setting up my room, doing my floor plan. I could go on and on.
The food was fresh, delicious and the staff was great! My friends raved about the food and the presentation was absolutely elegant and beautiful. No matter what your budget is Karen will work with you and make it work! Thank you so much to La Prima. You made my bar mitzvah perfect! Five stars!

La Prima in both College Park, MD and Alexandria, VA have catered a number of events for Case Design/Remodeling (including our Home Remodeling Seminars). We have been 100% satisfied with both the quality of their food and their high level of customer service. Upon delivering the food, they always ask if they can set it up, along with supplying all the needed accessories (i.e. napkins, plates, utensils) so that we don't have to worry. We continue to use them for our events, and I highly recommend them!

I have used La Prima Catering for events from as few as a half dozen people to up to 500, and not once have I had a single complaint. The staff is amazing, delivery is always on time and the food is delicious! What more could you ask for in a catering company? I recommended them to everybody I know, and will continue to do so!

I have used La Prima Catering on many occasions for our office functions and have always been very pleased and hear nothing but great comments from our staff. The food, staff and display they present when setting up are top notch and something I'm always happy to present to our staff.always the best! I will call them again when I have a function.

We hired La Prima to cater our June garden wedding in Philadelphia for 125 people, and they were amazing. Karen was so great to work with, and helped us plan the entire event. She was quick to respond to us anytime we had questions and truly worked with us to give us our dream wedding. It was a complete DIY affair and I had no idea what I was doing. Karen guided us through choosing a menu, finding a beer/liquor distributor, figuring out quantities of everything needed, figuring out a floorpan, guiding guests and the event along during the night, and I could go on-and-on. The food was so delicious and the service was thoughtful. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! I would 100% recommend La Prima.

La Prima to catered my wedding and I couldn't have been happier. Karen and her staff are the absolute best. They made sure that we were accommodated at every turn. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and fun to be around. Several guest came to us and our parents to say how delicious they though the food was. I would not hesitate to recommend or book La Prima again.

I had a disappointing lunch delivered today. It was basically a sandwich/wrap tray with chips, salad, dessert and 2-liter drinks. The bread and the wraps were soggy as if they were made the day before. Furthermore, the cheese had melted in a standing around way, not in a toasted manner. I guess it could have been made that morning, but it was too far in advance to deliver a proper product. With all of the good reviews, I had expected better. In comparison, sandwiches from Wawa come fresh baked bread these days.

We use La Prima Catering for business meetings at my office. The staff is nice, the Delivery people are nice. They have good food and will make you anything you want. The catering menu is just a guideline. They have a variety of food sure to please most pallets and are very clean and professional in presentation. Also, they always make their delivery window. They are on the list of preferred Caterers we use.

La Prima catered a conference I attended held at the PECO Building in Center City Philadelphia. The theme of the conference was "Green Technology" so the caterer had to also be "green" - and La Prima is. They use compostable plates, cutlery, paper goods etc and use foods from local CSAs and farms. Meanwhile - how was the food? It was Good to Great! Pasta was served hot (not lukewarm) and chicken was delcious and not dried out. (Food was a buffet in chafing dishes which can be hit or miss). Servers were friendly and helpful. Very well run catering with tasty food that is locally (when possible) produced and prepared well. Yay!
