Excellent service and food. The kitchen staff truly made an incredibly well-balanced course meal, I enjoyed every single dish. Staff is very friendly and thoughtful. The hospitality here is really phenomenal. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant, very relaxing and charming. There are so many lovely sounding tea blends on the menu, hard to choose since all of them sound very tasty; I wish I could have ordered one of each since I live out of state and can't visit regularly.

I tried the Blueberry Muffin, Angel's Kiss, and Cinnamon Roll, I cannot pick a favorite because they all were so flavorful. I hope to visit again in the future, if you like high tea this place is a must to visit. I look really forward to trying the recipes in their cookbook when I get home.

I really loved the ambiance and the food here. Pam was so kind and helpful during the reservation process. Also, everyone was very accommodating when I came to the reservation when we showed up with an extra person. The tea was fantastic, and I can't speak highly enough about the food. Everyone really had a great time and I'll probably be back!

I recently enjoyed Sunday tea with my granddaughter just before Christmas. It was our 2nd visit and is considered a holiday tradition for us. A perfect start to the holidays. Thank you to the wonderful staff and owner for making this a special experience. Food was delicious and the quaint atmosphere charming.

Had a lovely time! Check the calendar on their website for special events such as their Polish Christmas Eve dinner. It was so lovely and the staff is friendly and attentive.

What a charming surprise! From the outside, I was skeptical. But the minute we walked in, I was completely delighted. You really feel like you're in someone's parlor. We came early, as the tea is typically served from 2pm - 5pm. But we called ahead and they were sweet to accommodate us. The food was fantastic! They had a special apple-pear-plum rooibos that was absolutely delicious, and so fall-y!

My favorite dishes were the chicken pies, chevre, cabbage and beet sandwich and the pinescones! I could write sonnet's about the scones with salted caramel Devon creams and apple butter. I actually took a tub of apple butter home. Absolutely a must do in Downers Grove!

We made plans to go to the cottage not knowing that we need it to make reservations ahead of time. When we showed up, there was no available tables. However the host must've of seen my daughters sad face and offered for us to sit outdoors. It was simply PERFECT! I was at your cottage this past Saturday and had the most memorable experience. The kindness and knowledge of our server (Kathy) was indescribable.

We were blown away by the delicious and freshness of all the food. Kathy's recommendation on what tea to choose was spot on ( I confess finishing the whole pot on my own) We were so impressed that we now have reservations for November to bring my mother for her Birthday. I have no doubt it will be exceptional.

This place is always fantastic. My kids like to go there for special occasions and have a fancy tea, and it never disappoints! The food is always inventive and delicious, the staff are lovely and kind, and it's just a lot of fun. Their take-out tea is also delicious (and packed to travel well). We drive 45 minutes each way, on the Tri-State, to get there, and it is ALWAYS worth it!

I went for the first time with my twin sister and friend. It was a wonderful experience! Previously I had never been to a tea party, but I'm so glad that I tried this. We took part in the afternoon tea session where four courses are served. Every month, the menu changes due to a new theme. The theme of that we took part in is early summer afternoon picnic.

The chef and servers are extremely nice! They genuinely cared about our well-being and made sure that we had a nice time. This has now become new favorite restaurant. I cannot wait until I go back again!

A pleasant, tasty afternoon tea. I really like their scones, crumbly and not too hard. Also their blended teas are great!

This place is very darling and the seeing the seasonal decorations is half the fun of coming here (see these pictures from Halloween time below). Come here hungry because they serve a lot! Every experience I've had here included fantastic tea, adorable teapots, fresh tea sandwiches, and a lovely dessert. One of the tea few places I know that offers soup.

It's a family run business that bases its menu largely on the garden. They prefer that you make reservations in advance and have catered to my dietary needs upon request. This place is perfect for a girls' afternoon out, birthday party, or small wedding shower. It's also conveniently located near the train station in Downer's Grove. We go here then head to the old-school Tivoli theater up the road for a great-priced movie sometimes. I cannot recommend it enough! It's a fantastic value and will make anyone fall in love with afternoon tea.
