Sue Jacobs and her team at My Chef were the absolute best and they were my caterers for my wedding at Venue 5126. I had the best experience in planning and day of. They go above and beyond the make everything special and perfect. I also got a lot of compliments from people about the food! I am so thankful for everything that Sue and her team did on my wedding day and would highly highly recommend them!

We hired My Chef for a celebration of life luncheon at Wilder Mansion. Everything was top-notch and delicious. We ordered mostly off of Menu Five appetizer/hors d'oeuvre buffet choices. I recommend every one. Worked with Waldo getting it set up, and he was super helpful and kind all along the way from initial questions and proposals to contract booking. The staff who showed up to serve were nice and very accommodating and helpful as well. I strongly encourage you to consider My Chef for your next event.

Dominick and the crew at My Chef Catering went above and beyond to make sure my daughter's baby shower was great in every way. From the food to the decorating to the staff that were very friendly and helpful. It was awesome. Dominick suggested a Mimosa Table Seating wall. It was a huge success. They had 2 chefs making fresh crepes. Sweet ones and savory ones, with plenty of options to add to them.

He set up a salad bar with so many different toppings along with a pasta salad. There was a breakfast station with mini frittatas and mini quiche along with bacon and potatoes. Then there was a mini sandwich station along with an assortment of fruit. All of the food was delicious. Their table settings and linen worked so well with our theme and our colors. I have used My Chef for an engagement party, bridal shower, wedding and now baby shower. I highly recommend them. You will be very happy you did.

We used MyChef Catering for our wedding back in Feb 2022. Chloe was our Event Executive and she was super easy to work with leading up to the wedding and the day of! We chose to do a couple of passed hor' dourves and a grazing table for cocktail hour. You must try their artichoke beignets. YUM. We received so many compliments on the plated dinners served during our reception. If I could go back, I would've made sure I spent more time at the dessert table because I heard everything was delicious, particularly the cheesecakes.

I recently had a cocktail party for my husband's birthday and catered heavy appetizers from My Chef. The food was amazing! Sue was so knowledgeable and helpful. The food was dropped off on time, and set up beautifully on my dining room table. All of the equipment was picked up as promised the next morning. Couldn't have been easier, and I got to enjoy the party as well, instead of slaving in the kitchen. : I will definitely use My Chef again!

I contacted My Chef for a family gathering after a Baptism on December 23, 2021. Susan was awesome - we have a few allergies that made the menu a little tricky. Susan was quick to accommodate us and the event was perfect. Arrival was on time and the food was delicious. Pick up of the serving pieces couldn't have been any smoother. I used My Chef for a couple of events before COVID and am so glad that I was able to use them again. I will contact them for future events. They are great to work with. Jeanine W.

We had a tasting for our wedding today, and it was such a wonderful experience. We have been working with Alex, and he is so helpful and professional. Every time I have a question, he is responsive and has a solution. The chef was very friendly too, and the food was delicious. It was hard to pick between our options for appetizers, they were all so good! Very happy we have chosen My Chef for our wedding.

Sue and her team were the best team to work with. We had a lot of dietary restrictions and they were able to help with all of them. Everyone loved their food and the salad was MY FAVORITE! I will for sure use My Chef for any future catering needs.

Sue was absolutely incredible to work with for our brunch buffet wedding on 10/17/21! The food options were great and we had such a joy at our two menu tastings. When we couldn't come to a decision for an entree item, she suggested we try something entirely different and had the cooks make it for us. It was delicious and we added it to our menu. For dessert, we wanted donuts and pie and MyChef delivered. Two months later and our guests are still talking about our food! It was a wonderful experience, we couldn't have done it without the MyChef team.

Sue was a joy to work with. She made sure every detail and all my expectations were met. The day of the event she personally came to observe the set up and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was plentiful, seasoned perfectly, and displayed beautifully. For dessert we selected the big cookies and they were so good, guests asked for seconds.

The staff at my event were amazing. Karen and Dana served our guests at the buffet with warmth and smiles and insured that all my needs were taken care of throughout the day. The two young men worked like ninjas. They cleared plates from the tables without disturbing guest and were always polite. Additionally, the My Chef staff made sure the venue was spotless before they left. Our day was perfect! Thank you so much.

We hired My Chef for our wedding in 2020, unfortunately we had to postpone but our event specialist Waldo was there for us through the postponement, they made it very easy to move the date to 2021. He worked with us throughout the year to get all the details sorted, and was very responsive. When the date finally arrived, we had lots of compliments on service of the staff.

The food was bigger and better at the tasting, so we were a bit disappointed but it was still good. Setup was late, not sure if this was on the venue or catering side, so it pushed our event a little but would recommend them overall.

I booked My Chef for my wedding at Hoosier Grove Barn. The cons sadly outweighed the pros for me. The wait staff was attentive, personable, and friendly (I even saw some of my guests taking pictures with a waitress!). The main person we worked with from the office was not responsive to my communication (took over two weeks to respond to a single email, not returning my calls ever).

The food was pretty good overall (the mashed potatoes, salad, and meatballs were my favorites). I did make some changes to parts of the dish (only seasoning the green beans with salt and pepper, not adding a bed of tomatoes under the chicken) that were not applied to the plates served at the wedding. Also- their idea of a "late night snack" is serving it right after dessert.

I had just gobbled up 2 donuts when all of the sudden, the wait staff were walking around serving grilled cheese (not to mention all of my guests who hadn't even finished dessert yet!). Overall, the company needs to step-up their customer service.

I recently hosted a bridal shower in my backyard and used My Chef for the luncheon. My Chef exceeded my expectations. Susan was my coordinator and was a delight to work with. She listened to my vision and with her knowledge and experience executed a wonderful event. The quality and variety of food was delicious and offered something for everyone. An added bonus was the service staff. Carol, Marianne and Nikki were pleasant and professional. They created a stunning buffet table, and were attentive to the guests to ensure that everyone had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend My Chef.

I recently gave a baby shower for my daughter for 33 people. I dealt with a woman named Susan Jacobs who could not have been more helpful. She guided me through the process and made the entire event worry free. We had to have everything Gluten Free and they had no problem with that. The servers, Janet and Mundy were wonderful and did a beautiful job setting up and taking care of all the food. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks for helping to make the shower a success!

I just used My Chef Catering for a small luncheon I had to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding! From the beginning Susan was very helpful and easy to work with. The delivery was right on time and every was packaged perfectly. The food was outstanding. Everything we ate was delicious and every single guest at my party was extremely pleased. I will definitely use them again!

Excellent experience for my 25th wedding anniversary. Alex was amazing in planning my event, food was delicious and event staff showed up right on time. A must use for your next event.

When my husband and I went in for a tasting at My Chef, we knew right away that they were going to be our wedding caterer at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet! The food was absolutely incredible. We requested things like less pepper, different vegetables, etc. and they gave us exactly what we asked for. My husband and I were so excited to have our steak and double baked potato at the wedding because it's THAT good.

We received so many compliments about the food during and after the wedding. I was so impressed the day of as well. The team arrived early to set up. We ordered the linens from My Chef and the designs they come up with are amazing. Besides that, they went as far as helping me setup the center pieces and head table which they definitely did not have to do!

I appreciated their assistance so much. They checked on us as well to make sure we had what we needed. Clean up was very efficient as well. Special thanks goes to Jessica for making our day so wonderful. We are SO happy that we chose My Chef and recommend it to anyone who wants amazing food at their event!

We absolutely loved our wedding menu from MyChef. Everything was amazing. The team did a perfect job customizing our menu to match exactly what we needed. The variety was incredible. There wasn't a bad thing we tasted. It was just tough to make a final decision everything was so good. By far the best of the three caterers we tested. Yum

We had the most perfect wedding day at Danada House and such a big reason for that was My Chef! We worked with Stephanie, and she was very responsive and helped us make the day personal to us. She went out of her way to make sure everything was just like we wanted and more, and it was great having someone there we trusted helping coordinate day-of that knew our plan.

They got everything right and on top of all the great service and ease of interaction, the food was delicious, and the bar service very professional. I would not have changed anything and I am so glad we chose My Chef--I would recommend them highly!

Fantastic! We used my chef at Danada house for our wedding, ever single person raved at how wonderful the good was. Dominic and Kendall are amazing!

Outstanding! From the moment i called them they were responsive and ready to help me. They did Hors d'oeuvres for my wifes 40th birthday serving 70 people. Planned and ready in less than a week. They showed up early to our venue Warehouse 109 in Plainfield. Were very nice during set up and even had Stephanie on site during set up. Then during the birthday party the servers were outstanding.

Great with the guests and didnt leave anyone hungry. They were excellent with the serving and with the clean up. Never a dirty plate or napkin left out. Really was way better than I expected. They even had candles that I had forgotten for the cake and helped me out that way. The food served and the meat tray were great! People loved the shrimp cocktail shooters and the beef skewers. Just a great experience overall!

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing engagement party. Will never use another caterer. My Chef is the best of the best!

This does not cover their food or service since we did not get to experience ANY of those! They are listed as a preferred caterer for the Naperville Park District. I emailed them and never heard a word back. Normally I would just brush it off and move on but I contacted them in the past for a bridal shower and never heard back from them regarding that event either!

I was not surprised to read(filtered out) reviews reiterating the poor/non-existent communication by the staff. What person getting ready to spend lots of money wants to hire a company that has poor communication skills and would make event planning a headache? Not me. No thank you!

I have to say, I was a little bummed about my experience with My Chef catering. They came highly reviewed so I think I expected more than what I got. This past weekend I hosted a surprise birthday party for my mom. I wasn't looking for a whole meal, just light appetizers and snacks to accompany the chips, dips, and booze I already had. The party was for about 30 people, and I didn't want to spend too much on apps, so instead of choosing one of their packages I just individually ordered what I wanted.

Each appetizer was listed as a minimum purchase of two dozen. These are the options I went with: - Mini hamburgers - Mac n cheese balls - Tuscan skewers with salami, tortellini and olives - Buffalo chicken wontons with blue cheese - Mini Cheese pizzas I also opted to purchase the heating tins so I could easily keep the food warm. When all was said and done it cost me $248 plus tip. YEESH.

I overlooked the cost at first because it seemed like the convenience and (assumed) quality would be worth it. Meh, probably not. Let me explain. Positive points: - Food was delivered on time - Delivery guy set everything up quickly - Party guests said the food tasted pretty good Negative points: - Presentation sucked - Food quality was not there for the price I paid.

Each item (with the exception of the burgers and skewers) looked like something I could have gotten in the frozen appetizer section at the store and just popped in the micro. Bottom line, I expected more from My Chef. Photos I've seen and reviews I've read seem like they're top notch, but I didn't get that vibe. Don't get me wrong, all the food at my party was eaten, but that's probably largely due to the amount of booze that was being drank.

I would give My Chef Catering 10 stars if I could! A special thank you to Sue Jacobs who worked side by side with me and the team at the Millennium carillon in Naperville to cater our wedding. Sue did such an incredible job of advising us on everything from the colors of our wedding (I had a general idea, but she really helped formalize the 4 colors beautifully) Sue gave us excellent recommendations on the number of tables and seats since it was a casual cocktail reception hors de vows style wedding.

The food recommendations were wonderful and we received so many compliments on the food and there was enough for everyone. To our surprise, mychef put aside ONE OF EVERYTHING we ordered for the bride and groom. This was especially awesome on our limo ride to the hotel since we had hardly eaten at our wedding reception. I would highly recommend mychef catering for any of your catering needs; wedding, corporate event, private event etc. Thank you My Chef Catering and Sue for everything, you were a huge part of making our wedding so incredibly memorable.
