Huge and delicious. My last day in Boston and needed a quick lunch. My friend recommended this place since it was just a few blocks away from his house and easy to pickup. I ordered the chicken parm sub. From the reviews it looked like portions were not small. Those reviews were true! The sandwich was huge (small size) and very tasty. It's definitely going to be on my list whenever I visit.

Always, and I mean ALWAYS, makes the best pastries and cakes in the areas. Doesn't matter if you're in a time crunch or have weeks to prep, this business consistently nails whatever I throw at them. For years I've been using them exclusively for events in my family and I have never had even a molecule of bad service.

I love this bakery. Everything is so very fresh and they have a huge assortment of desserts. It's hard to find a traditional bakery and this one is fantastic. I've been there several times and have gotten every type of dessert and have always been happy with them. Once I got a chicken cutlet sandwich and wanted to go back the same day for more! I'll definitely be back soon.

Good deli sandwich selection - the subs are HUGE, I could barely eat half for lunch one day and had to finish it for dinner! Super easy to order ahead over the phone and it was ready for us to pick up quickly. There's also a small park nearby with picnic tables so when the weather's nice you can enjoy your sandwich with a good view. Didn't get a chance to try any of their prepared foods, but they looked yummy and had a bit of all the Italian classics. Will definitely be back!

I ordered a large chicken parmigiana sub with a side of fries and a chocolate mousse bar. It's made with two large cutlets, so this thing was huge! It was everything you'd want from a chicken cutlet sub: perfectly crispy, juicy, well seasoned chicken, and the perfect amount of cheese. I'm only giving them 4 stars because the sub could have used 1 more spoon of marinara. I can't wait to try their steak tip sub!

Great local bakery. Where you can get freshly baked bread, sandwiches and yummy desserts. The staff is al says friendly. I showed up towards end of the day for bread and the worker mentioned next time to call ahead and they will put aside a freshly baked loaf of bread. Luckily they had a loaf we could enjoy tonight with our dinner. We will continue to come back here.

Came here ordered some pastries for a little celebration. Got a box of 13 or so and some fresh scali bread. Most of the pastries were very good but most notably the carrot cake one and the chocolate turtle were a little dry and underwhelming. I especially liked the Oreo and tiramisu pastries. And the fresh bread was fantastic, you can't beat it. Fast and friendly service definitely stop in and try it.

What happened? Used to be a weekly customer. Went on a hiatus for a couple months. Was back for the 1st time yesterday. I was so excited (and hungry) for my $10 eggplant parmigiana and my daughter her meatball sub. Both of us were so disappointed. The sauce was different and not in a good way. It was sweeter than normal and had a lot of onion chunks in it.
I am not extremely picky with eggplant Parmesan. I would eat it if it was at least OK but I could not even get through 1/4. My daughter ate about half of her normal serving amount. Her issue was the sauce. The meatballs were not bad, just ok.typically her favorite place to get meatballs. So sad! I will not give up this quick. I will give them another chance and hopefully will get to update my review to four or five stars

FYI this bakery is NOT the same La Cascia's bakery and deli. They just have the same name. We got the chocolate mousse bar, tiramisu mini, and Oreo chocolate bar. The chocolate mousse bar and mini tiramisu were really good and decadent (5 stars) The Oreo chocolate bar was only ok (3 stars), because the icing was pretty generic and the cake was dry.

Price is going to be a tick higher than Bob's further north on Main Street. Can't speak on a direct comparison betwixt fully loaded Italian grinders, my go-to at any Boar's Head or imported deli counter. But I can I strayed from the norm because of you, fellow Yelper. You told me steak tip sub. I listened. And it was good. At $9, this little sandwich that could is deceptively large if you look under the lid (see grotesquely unflattering photo proof below). Lifting the beast is your best bet - there's no less than half to three-quarters of a pound of house-marinated tips, grilled (read: caramelized) to order and shoveled between the Scali sheets.
Fifty cents to dumb it down with good ol' American cheese is money well spent. Bakery case is limited on the sweets, and what they have often repeat themselves. Raspberry elephant ear? Cool. Raspberry twist? It's the ear as a stick. Cool. That said, it's a proper baked good, with a heavy sugar crust. Bouncing off walls, commence. Pro tip: they've a prepped meals cooler for a fast dinner, frozen pastas from a local maker and orders are save in the onsite cloud.
Put in for a sandwich, leave your name, shop around and check out on the bakery side - everything will be listed to your order. We're living in the future! A future with more steak tip subs.
