No frills location but easy to get to. I saw them online and decided to stop by for dinner instead of ordering for delivery. Yummy sushi and seafood soup.

I spent my entire CCNY years going here. Super fresh and always hits the mark. I'm gona miss it when I move. Thanks for the good years and amaze sushi.

Don't order from this place! Rolls are very small and the horrible customer service! The delivery is hit or miss and they have the nerve to get an attitude when you call about your order. I'm paying my money, so don't get nasty with me when I call about my order. I'm not spending a small amount either, so I expect good customer service. You won't get that here!

Was a big fan of Sushi Sushi (eating from here several times a week for a couple of weeks), but then got a bad case of food poisoning or some kind of bacterial infection in my stomach about 2 weeks ago. I did not eat anything else that day, but was sick for nearly a week following (dysentery every 30 minutes and acute abdominal pain in the lower abdomen). Not sure if it was restaurant cleanliness issue or something with the fish itself, but I will not be ordering from here in the future.

Amazing Sushi! Order from them all the time! Try desert sushi with Nuttela! Love it!

I ordered via Grubhub, and the order took over an hour to arrive (as I speak, it has yet to arrive). The first two times I called to check in, a very kind and flustered woman assured me it would arrive in ten minutes. The third time I called, she put me on hold until a man answered the phone. When I asked for the status update of my food, he said "well I am TRYING to put your order out but I cannot do that while you are tying up the phone with your NONSENSE." Absolutely no reason to speak to me like that after you take over an hour to send out an order. Try being gracious next time, or apologetic.

Hey! Do you love HAIR in your sushi? Are you interested in putting in a sushi order and have it not show up an hour and a half after you put in the order? Even after calling them and confirming they received the order and then being told it's on the way when in reality it never was on the way but then they tried to make it up and send the order anyways and a long black strand of hair shows up in your salmon avocado roll?

If you are looking for all of these subpar qualities in your sushi restaurant.then look no further! I will sleep tonight praying that my family and I didn't get food poisoning. Don't make the terrible mistake I made and order from somewhere else.

The most unfriendliest and unprofessional sushi establishment I've ever been to. They seem very unhappy in there. Will not be back! I like places with good vibes, especially if I'm eating from there. And their rolls are small.

This place keeps me coming back. The lunch and dinner specials they run are very affordable and they really give you a lot of food. The $20 dinner special gives you a traditional roll, a special roll, soup, and two sushi pieces. The soup is really good and the spicy delight roll is one of my favorite creations. The service is very polite and also quick and timely. I definitely love coming here and will do so again and again.

This sushi spot is great if you're vegetarian/vegan or pescatarian. They have lots of veggie roll options. The spicy shrimp roll is amazing! Hits the spot every time. Philadelphia roll was good as well and the steamed shrimp shumai is delicious. I ordered delivery from their website and it came pretty fast! Lunch special $10 for two rolls & free miso soup can't go wrong. $15 for three rolls.

I ordered lunch from Sushi Sushi with my boss and colleague at work and I really enjoyed it. My boss raves about this place so I was happy to experience it with her! The sushi had great buttery flavor and the Spicy Mango sauce added a nice kick to my spicy shrimp avocado roll and fried shumai! They also deliver by my house which is about 2 and a half miles away.

Horrible delivery service. Half of my order was missing. When I immediately called to let them know half of the order was missing. the person on the phone said "what do you think is missing?" They ended up sending the rest of the order but didn't get delivered until 45 minutes later.

Great experience! We ordered a dinner set (free miso soup, traditional roll, signature roll and 2 sushi pieces). Friday before Labor Day was pretty empty. Cozy place at Amsterdam Ave. Definitely coming back!

This is where my girlfriend and I spent most of last night into this morning after eating two rolls from this place. The flavor and texture was mediocre at best and I could tell something was a bit off, especially with the eel. Cannot believe this. Had my whole body thrown off today while I was trying to be productive. Thanks for the food poisoning Sushi Sushi! NEVER EAT HERE!

Disclosure: they give you a free roll if you review. That being said, this place is great. I think they are underrated and I can't wait to try more items!

I order the lunch special and have it delivered to my job. I've been ordering the 2 sushi rolls with miso soup thru grubhub so with delivery, taxes and $15% tip it comes to $18 The spicy tuna roll has a bit of crunch, and its delicious. I also get the shrimp tempura roll and spicy Mayo on the side. It's very good. And the miso soup as part of the $12 lunch special. It's filling and satisfying. It's my go to place. Definitely recommend.

UMMMM WOW!? Your pamphlet is going on our fridge! NY sushi, especially way uptown is always below subpar so I thought it was going to be like every other meh sushi spot. I got the $30 Salmon Extreme boxes and it came with 2 rolls, sashimi and a whole other box of salmon salad. Everything was DELICIOUS. Generous servings of salmon, avocado and super sweet mango! I am ashamed to say that I downed more than half of the boxes in under like. 5 mins. It was all very good.

So disappointed. My first time ordering as I've just recently moved into the neighborhood. Sushi tastes good, but there are so many little things that are wrong that it just ruined it for me. I asked for no wasabi. It's there. There's literally one big piece of ginger. For THREE ROLLS. And the veggie roll I ordered said it was tempura. It's definitely NOT. I'm just sad bc I feel like the ingredients are quality. Smh won't be ordering again.

They set their own delivery zone on their website, then when you place an order that is within their delivery zone (within 30 blocks), they call you and demand you place a $100 order or else they won't deliver your order. Absolute trash business.

Haven't had sushi in a while. Finally some sushi time. We got some shrimp tempura sushi and crab sushi They were deliciously needed for our crave.

Always dependable, Alway Solid. The prices are reasonable and probably a top 3 sushi spot in the are.

Wish I'd known before placing my order! Delivery was fairly speedy despite the restaurant not being super close to my apartment. The portions were rather small, but all ingredients were fresh.

I've ordered twice and requested extra Wasabi both times and never received it-they're a bit stingy with their wasabi and soy sauce. I had the salmon avocado roll-the salmon was very good and avocado was fresh-there wasn't much salmon in the sushi though. Not my favorite sushi spot I'd say, but certainly okay.

I order from here because the lunch special is cheaper than Giesha Sushi but am considering going back to ordering. I do like their special roll, but we will see what happens. Last order there was a black hair in my miso soup. In this order, there was a scale still left in my sushi. I did however love their awesome roll so it would suck if I have to switch back because of that.

I love this spot, always good fresh food, and great service. Try their spicy salmon roll, mmmmmm. A gem in Harlem!

I just had a very surprising experience with Sushi Sushi. I placed an order with Sushi Sushi and used their 20% Off Code. It was about 10:30 pm and I got a call about 20 minutes later and an employee said I couldn't use the discount code because someone at my address had already used it (my roommate) This restriction wasn't clear on the menu that the restaurant provided. (I have included the menu pictures for reference) The employee said my food was ready but I could only get it if I paid $4 and some change to make up the difference of the discount.

Since their menu didn't specify this stipulation I asked if they could just send it and I wouldn't use the code again. They said things like "we won't budge on this" "we can cancel your order and refund you." As a customer who was relying on this food for my night I was completely astonished at the unprofessionalism of this restaurant. I'm truly having a hard time communicating everything that happened.

After a few minutes the employee said that they couldn't deal with me anymore because they had a bunch of other orders to deal with. (As someone who's worked in restaurants for 8+ years I understand the stress and trouble something like this can be) I requested my food calmly but also stated I expected the discount and I was going to write a review explaining my experience.

In response the employee said "well, it's just be better if you canceled the order and didn't write the review." I responded that I was relying on the food and expecting it and without my consent the employee said that they were going to cancel my order and to have a good night.

OMG new favorite sushi spot Placed an order for pick up during covid. Their rolls are so fun and creative, definitely a nice twist to rolls. My favorites so far: Awesome Roll Spicy tuna is good but if you like spicy tuna get the Spicy Delight Roll! Overall the order was ready and everything tasted so yummy! Will definitely be back

Covid-29 has change the lives of many New Yorkers offering us less and less dining options. I was looking for sushi options to take my daughter out for her 11th birthday and stumbled across this cute little sushi place. The server was awesome he made every attempt to acomodate us. He wore a mask as he served and although no one was inside all of the chefs also wore mask.

They had this small little outside space. Sushi Sushi offered a really good dinner special. The food was fresh and really good. My dislikes are more related to the surrounding area of the restaurant. I get that we have to adapt to the COVID-19 situation but the garbage bins around the outside dining make it unappealing to sit and eat. Also the bathroom was way too small and more like a combination of a utility room and bathroom.

There should also be some better barriers for the outside dining where street parking is allowed. I only gave the 4 stars because of these issues. Other than these things this was a great experience.

Please note that many of the reviews here are from the previous location downtown which has since closed. they moved their uptown location to the present address a few months ago. Sushi Sushi used to be a great reasonable deal, but they increased their prices and its no longer cheap than most sushi restaurants in the city. they serve primarily as a take out place. rarely are there people actually sitting and eating. there is a few tables, almost never filled. its a no frills type of place, not fancy. everyone is very friendly. the soy sauce is extremely salty. they have changed their menu to include ramen as well.

My fiance had $12 in Amazon restaurant credit, so we decided to give Sushi Sushi a shot! We ordered the dinosaur roll as well as the spicy delight roll, and it came in about an hour. The dinosaur roll has shrimp tempura in the middle as well as cucumber topped with eel and avocado, and then all drizzled with some eel sauce. The pieces were large, so it was difficult for me to eat the piece all in one bite (more food is fine with me though).

It was very savory, but as I ate more of the dinosaur roll, it was starting to taste more like the eel sauce. The spicy delight roll is packed with spicy tuna, has avocado topped with spicy salmon and tobiko (flying fish roe), and is garnished with spicy sushi sauce. Unlike the dinosaur roll, this one seemed to get better with each bite! The mix of spicy tuna and spicy salmon prevented the sushi pieces from getting too consistent/boring, as did the drizzle of spicy sushi sauce. I'm glad we were able to find out about Sushi Sushi! I would love to order to-go food from here again or maybe even eat inside the restaurant!
