Thirty five years ago, a marriage, a move across the country and a pregnancy inspired Personalized Cuisine, Jennie's first company. A few years later, with a warning from the public health department and a loan from Aunt Ethel, Jennie built her first commissary on Robertson Boulevard. The Double Dutch restaurant in Culver City followed in 1998, and then, the need to retreat.
In the eighties, Jennie broke into the catering industry by feeding the cast and crew of game shows. She's always loved the pace of industry catering, and after more than three decades in the biz, the team is loving production catering more than ever. Our go-to packaging for lunch and breakfast are the large plastic containers featured in our photographs.
Currently, we are only catering for the niche of production & corporate breakfasts and lunches. We are continuing with individual packaging. It feels safer and the quality of the food is superior. We've done some numbers analysis, and realized specializing in one thing is better for our bottom line.

As a wedding planner, I am so thankful for working with a team like Jennie Cooks! Leading up to our grooms' big day, Jennie and her team were so helpful and quick to answer our questions. It felt like we were working in unison and very much part of the same team, and I appreciate that so much. On the day-of, Stacey was our banquet captain and she and the rest of the team were amazing!
They were attentive to the needs of our grooms, their guests, and us vendors. She ran a tight ship and made the whole event go over smoothly. One of the main reasons why our grooms booked Jennie Cooks is because they actually donate their food at the end of the night. It means a lot to us that their delicious food does not go to waste! I used Jennie Cooks Catering & Plant Based Parties for my 60th birthday party.and it was wonderful. Jacika was the best! My guests are still talking about the wonderful food and how beautiful the room was. With candles the setting was cozy and warm. There are no words for how good the food was, from the mac and cheese to the peach cobbler.yummmmmm! Everyone should use Jennie Cooks Catering & Plant Based Parties for any event. The staff is great and jacika plan a party.
