Lucky Kitchen started at a time when Chinese food was publicly reported as being unhealthy and high in fat and sodium. Our family staff and chefs adapted the menu to fit the needs of a health conscious public in 1993, and came up with a new method for preparing and cooking Chinese Cuisine. Lucky Kitchen specializes in steaming vegetables and cooking dishes without oil, MSG, salt or sugar. In 1998, LK was recognized by Mfit Healthy Dining Program as a partner in beating heart disease with one meal at a time.
Spring roll wrapper filled with shrimp, spiced ground meat, sliced cabbage & carrots (fried until crisp). Clear and light soup base filled with plenty of big and tasty wontons, Szechuan cabbage and green onions. Lunch combos (L) are available from 11am to 3pm. Dinner combos (D) are available from 3pm to closing.
Benefits: Meets your daily protein requirements, and helps reduce your intake of cholesterol, saturated fat and calories. Benefits: While most Asian restaurants use oil to cook. At LK, we run our vegetables in a water bath before stir-frying. This method not only cuts down on the calorie and fat content of the dishes, it also preserves the nutrients in them.

Ordered egg roll, fried wontons and Singapore Mi Fun. Wontons had no flavor, sweet and sour sauce was a bit too sweet. Noodles, shrimp & chicken were overcooked. Seems like maybe they reheated stuff that was hours old. Didn't finish half of it. threw most of it out. Mostly ate due to hunger. Delivery driver was nice. Egg roll was okay. Loved that they had hot mustard sauce for egg roll.

I've been here a few times now. Got a lunch combo 2 times and the portions are very good for a cheap price. I also recommend ordering off of the Chef Special menu, that is the "authentic" Chinese food. I ordered the Shrimp and Egg Stir Fry and it reminded me of what I ate growing up, so that's pretty authentic to me. That being said, I would say the Chicken and Shrimp with vegetable combo I got was overly salty. Some hits and misses, but overall would recommend going.

As a long-time customer, I have usually found their food to be acceptable to good. (A sweet and sour shrimp order recently was pretty much inedible.) However, their new on-line ordering menu system for delivery seems to be very flawed. It is extremely slow and complicated, and for some items doesn't work. This forced me to use a delivery service, but what I received was all vegetable and no chicken.

I double-checked and the order through Doordash was correctly written, so I have to assume Lucky Kitchen failed. If you want food from here, I would avoid delivery until they straighten out their on-line system.

I see there are mixed reviews, however from my experience the lady that handled our order was super patient and kind. We had variations to our combos and all were done correctly. The phone was ringing, yet she never skipped a beat and completed my call in as if I was only customer of the day. My point, the "please hold" process was quick and with ease.

On top of everything we paid with a tricky VISA giftcard and she never gave up, until we figured it out.and it worked. When arrived for pick up we added some items and they were quickly prepared and we were off to enjoy our meals. Happy New Year and we will order again while local. Thanks again for making us feel like valuable customers!

This should be 0 stars but unfortunately that's not an option. Can you imagine, it's 2022 and someone on your staff is still incapable of acting kindly towards brown people. Oh wait, that's because it happened. I'm devastated to report that yesterday's takeout experience turned into something traumatizing driven by an employee. This employee of yours caused a scene using extreme profanity, racial slurs, threats and ultimately broke my sister's bright spirit over nothing.

She's been a long time customer of yours for 20+ years and was genuinely harassed yesterday for the second time in your establishment. Investigate and fix this, immediately. No one should be called profane names while being a patron of your business or any business, ever. Shame on all of you. We will be getting Evergreen instead next time and always moving forward.

Eating here takes me back to my grad school days where I relied on their ample portions and reasonable prices to keep myself fed and happy while studying. I really like the different dishes offered. The chef specials are really good. I've enjoyed them every time I ordered one.

Wide selection of Chinese dishes with combo options. Everyone can find a dish that satisfies their cravings. Also, the prices are very affordable.

Generous portions with great flavor. We ordered the general, pad thai and hot and sour soup. I still definitely order from here again.

Disgusting. It was half an hour late, so it was only lukewarm. It was dripping in so much grease that it seeped through the bags. I ordered a spring roll with shrimp and was given a roll filled with lettuce. The sweet and sour chicken was too cold and greasy to eat. I called the restaurant, and she all she did was give me excuses. It was awful customer service. I can't believe I paid $43 for this garbage. I threw it away. It's not even good enough for the dog.

My favorite Chinese place. Has been a regular customer since 2010! The chicken lo mein, almond chicken, cashew shrimp, shrimp fried rice, spring rolls, and crab Rangoon are great!

Very ignorant on the phone. Two seperate visits i had issues. 1st time my wife got sweet and sour chicken and they forgot the sweet and sour sauce. Then they tell me to come pick it up rather than delivering it. Sorry its your booboo. I'm not driving 10 minutes back into town. 2nd visit after a few months of boycotting them i ordered again. This time my chicken soo guy had no fricken gravy.

I called and they wouldn't rectify it. They offered me free gravy at first which is INCLUDED IN MY MEAL THAT THEY NEVER GAVE ME LOL then they offered 1 or 2 egg rolls. I said listen you give me a free order of chicken soo guy since this is the 2nd time they've next time i come in. They wouldn't do it. Screw this place. Ill order my chinese from kingsville now.

I have, quite literally, been a customer of Lucky Kitchen since they were in business. I wander away, but I always come back. One of the reason is their sauces. I have been experimenting with making sauce at home and I cannot duplicate Lucky Kitchen's Ginger & Garlic. I could pour it on shoe leather and it would be yummy! They also will steam your meal for a healthy option. Their food is always fresh and tasty and their prices are fair.

Excellent! I ordered the General Tso's chicken extra spicy. They burnt my face off! It was great. I got the dinner combo with crab wonton. Big portions and the combo came with fried rice and a spring roll. I spent $15 and it was worth it. Can't wait to go back!

Ordered to St Joe's hospital, everyone that paid with a card was charged $5.00 extra, then the driver couldn't even find the hospital and delivered 2 hours later.$15.00 for some disgusting sesame chicken.not the meal I was hoping for on a 12 hour shift.absolutely pass if you work at this hospital.horrible business practice with the extra charges and cold dried up chicken

Amazing steamed buns and cashew chicken. They were one of the first places I ordered from when covid started and it was so nice to find a place that valued safe practices before they were required to.

I've been a regular customer to order take outs @ LK. For sure the food is always great, tasty, great portions. Like the chef special the most, even they are a bit more, price wise.

Why would anyone order from here twice? I ordered the crispy chicken lunch combo- spring roll - eh ok, fried rice - eh ok the chicken?! Disgusting. If I wanted mangled up chicken bones I would def order again. The fact that I have more bones/joints then actual chicken (which did not say it was on the bone or that would be mainly bone) is amazing. What a terrible meal. Completely amazed they sent this out, if I wasn't at work I would take it back. Just disgusting

**ordered through Grubhub, took a while to get to my house** The fried rice and veggie spring rolls were both great, as always. However, I thought the XL eggroll didn't live up to the hype. Seems too big to be perfect.

This is usually my go-to restaurant for lunch on weekends. Service is fast, and the food is good. Restaurant is more suited for take-out than dine-in. The lunch and dinner combos are great deals with amazing value for money (usually ~$7-9). Their sesame chicken is definitely worth trying!

Worst pad thai I have ever had. The prices are cheap but the food is really mediocre. Do not recommend.

This is by far the worst Chinese food we have ever had! We have lived in many cities and have had our fair share or gross Chinese food, but this people will forever be the worst. We ordered delivery, something simple- Pork Lo Mein and some fried wontons. We aren't fussy, and while we have tasted true authentic Chinese, we don't generally have huge expectations from americanized places.

However this Lo Mein was tasteless. It seems like they ran out of their noodles and used spaghetti noodles, then it would appear that after adding the meat and vegetables to the noodles, they just added some super watered down soy sauce and nothing else. It tasted like boiled nothingness- they could get away with serving this at a hospital to patients with salt restrictions.

The wontons were ok, they fried a little long but at least they were edible, though we are not sure about finishing any of it as I wonder if someone dropped the noodle dish on the floor, washed it and then packaged it for us. They are not worth your money!

My dad took me here for lunch the other day and he's eaten here several times. He proclaimed this as one of his favorite places. It was my first time here and the lunch combo prices were very affordable especially for the amount of food you get. I got the sesame chicken which was prepared quickly and came out piping hot. Had good flavors and the rice was perfectly made.

The broccoli was fresh and crunchy and mushy or overdone like some places. Small place but enough seating for all that wanted to eat there. Wouldn't mind coming back after such a good experience.

We recently catered a very large scale event through these folks and they did a stupendous job, so I'm increasing my review of Lucky Kitchen to a four-star. The food came on time and as expected. It was plentiful, hot, and versatile enough to accommodate all dietary needs in the large group we were taking care of. The cost was very ideal for feeding so many people.

And the biggest selling point? The food tasted great. People really enjoyed everything, and it got gobbled up quickly. I saw more than a few individuals come back through for second helpings. Thanks for such fine service!

Delicious, authentic Chinese food. The beef stir fried noodles still the best as is the Singapore noodles. Still cannot understand why Passport, their other restaurant near Costco, didn't make it. I ate there all the time but what do I know? There are some people who would not recognize class if it was rammed up their backsides! Harrumph!

Three classmates and I ordered delivery from Lucky Kitchen during a longer GSI grading session. Luckily, two people from our group had ordered from them before and knew to call well in advance--about an hour before we wanted to eat, in fact. They did indeed take about an hour to get down to us on central campus, so just be aware to call extremely earlier if you want delivery.

We ordered four meal combos, the total price of which allowed us to get six free dumplings. The dumplings were not great because the peel was too thick and doughy, but I don't expect much from restaurant dumplings in general so was not terribly disappointed. For my entree, I got the Hunan chicken, with plain rice and egg drop soup. The Hunan chicken is a mix of chicken of vegetables with brown sauce.

You can choose between plain or fried rice, and egg drop or wonton soup. I ate the most of the entree, and was very full so saved the soup for later. A large amount of food at average Chinese take-out quality, so met my expectations.
