Excellent place for lunch, especially if you are craving a high quality sandwich. It does get busy, particularly around lunch time. Nonetheless, the employees are efficient so the wait time is reasonable. Order at the counter and then your meal is brought to you. I ordered the tempeh panini and it was perfect! It was cooked and flavored well, very filling, and reasonably priced. Pros: - great customer service - quick accurate orders - reasonable prices - large portion sizes -indoor and outdoor seating available -ample menu options that satisfy various preferences and dietary restrictions Cons: - parking and seating areas are tight Overall we enjoyed our meal and would dine here again!

Never had a problem at any other location. Our order was completely wrong, forgot items and didn't cook them correctly. When we asked to have them corrected they still came back wrong. Not pleasant when we asked for it to be fixed. Won't be back to this location.

Had a vegetarian Ruben and it was terrific. I don't eat meat and was happy to see a whole section of vegetarian options, along with all the other classic deli choices. Something for everyone. Order at counter and then pickup. Lots of seating in the dining area. Really enjoyed this place. It's a long time standard at the Village District.

Nice place. Great sweet potato fries. Good burgers. Chicken tenders are good too. Cornbread is the best.

Here's the thing. i like village deli, but i paid $16 for this and now i'm just unhappy about it. i would rather have my $16 and have never ordered this. there's no brie except for in one bite, and one mere slice of avacado. the rest is just turkey and bread. mind you- $16. this is at MOST a $7 sandwich

This place has a huge menu. If you have a taste for something, they probably have it. That being said, not everything is excellent, but nothing is bad either. Their salmon sandwich is really good, so is the pimento cheese. Their sweet potatoes fries are good but they're regular fries are meh. The service is really good, dine in or carry out. It's good food at a good price with good service.

Unfortunately my recent experience with take out from Village Deli was similar to other poor reviews. I had ordered a Village club and the cold cuts were similar looking to the cheapest you can find at a grocery store, did not taste fresh at all. The ham look gross and way to thick cut. The sandwich had only a small amount of mayo and a lot a lot a lot of stale white bread, non toasted, so the whole sandwich was super dry, gross, and fell apart after only a few bites.

This came with cold and not at all tasty crinkle fries. Honestly I find it hard to mess up a simple sandwich, and this was dry and was a struggle to eat only half of it. I've had much better from other local sandwich shops, and was very disappointed with my meal.

No service at all, crowded and very expensive. Felt like I had to tip. The tables was dirty too. The Village District has better places.

The vegetarian burger is awful. It's dry and tasteless, falls apart and too big to fit in the bun. I am afraid to try their tempeh options now. I was very disappointed because the rest of menu is good. This burger should be taken off the menu because vegans and vegetarians will not be pleased. They should consider sourcing the patties from the same supplier that Rise Village District uses because their veggie sandwiches are fantastic.

On a busy lunch time in the Village District post-Christmas, we were able to find a table, order food, and receive our delicious food in 15 minutes. Would eat here again. The Cajun shrimp wrap was especially good.

A nice afternoon lunch date. The fried chicken sandwiches are awesome. Get the fried green tomato and pimento cheese toppings and it's a 10/10. Also dog friendly seating outside

Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. Kind of in a rut but the two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast with coffee is on point. Served quickly too. Don't leave without a pound of their chicken salad too, it's amazing!

I got the avocado turkey brie panini and i tried really hard to eat it, because I hate wasting food but it was truly nasty. It tasted very salty, fishy, and just generally gross. When I gave up, I opened it up and found the avocado was almost completely brown. These ingredients were definitely not fresh. I've had good food from Village Deli before, but this was truly unacceptable for a $12 panini (side of sweet potato fries that came with it were good though!).

Sooooo dang good. Best egg salad I've ever eaten best onion rings I've had. Fries were on point and the Philly steak was up there as some of the best I've had. Found this place by chance and so glad I did. Came in for a quick bite to eat and am very satisfied. After last nights expensive and disappointing dinner at ragazzis in garner this has made up for it and some.

Lady taking out order was very friendly and helpful in answering questions. Even let us try the egg salad before ordering. This is one of my new favorite sandwich places in the triangle

This is one of our favorite takeout spots! I come from Holly Springs for it and bring a large order back to friends in our neighborhood almost weekly. Their chicken salad is our favorite, but you can get all their "salads" by the pound and they are so nice to have in the fridge. You can't go wrong with anything, but their soups are also amazing. I can't recommend this spot enough!

This is a place that has been around for awhile. I had the classic sub which one would expect to be the poster child of sandwiches, meh. The meats and cheese was all decent quality but nothing that made my taste buds holler. They gave me white instead of wheat as well. My daughter had the egg salad on a croissant, meh as well. She said the egg salad was too sweet.

The STAR of the show was her cup of roasted red pepper and Gouda soup! I should have bought a gallon to carry home. The depth of flavor was unexpected and satisfying. The consistency was spot on with bits of roasted red peppers and cheese, heavenly! It would be a shame to learn they don't make it themselves. Ignorance here is my bliss. Big oversight on the COVID front is they their menu is not all on a board but rather menus that are in bins that everyone handles and puts back in the same spot, no cleaning.

I looked at the menu online to decide what I wanted. Also they tables weren't cleaned regularly and I went on a Saturday about noon. Overall decent "cafe/deli", they serve chicken tenders, if you are in the area ok but I wouldn't make it a destination.

First time here. The shopping center is getting a facelift and the places like closed but aren't. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of chili. I chose multigulti-grain bread and thick American cheese. The bread was nutty tasting and fresh. It was a very good choice. The chili was the best I've ever had in a deli. Chunks of tomato, kidney beans, green pepper we're just right. I'll be back.

We have always enjoyed our visits to this and other locations in Cameron Village and Wake Forest. Especially good for vegetarians, their soups and salads, desserts, yummy onion rings, and Tempe Reuben sandwich have been our go-to's. We have never had any issues with carry-out orders; they are always packed accurately.

The only thing worse than the bland turkey sandwich was the service. Do yourself a favor, go to food lion next door (gross) and buy stale white bread - no seriously, make sure it's stale- and cheap turkey meat. Make a sandwich from this. Your sandwich will be much cheaper and taste better.

Great place for breakfast! I ordered the Supreme breakfast bowl with sausage and it was great! I prefer my food to have a kick. If you do I'd recommend adding some Texas Pete which they have available. My wife ordered a traditional breakfast which she enjoyed. 4 out of 5 stars as my wife's grits were very runny. Not sure if that was by design or not.

Pathetic sandwich! Tried Village Deli at Lake Boone and ordered a BLT sandwich. It ranks as one of the worst BLTs I've ever had. Everything was competing with the lettuce to be more wilted. At best it was on par with a fast food chain sandwich but far from what I would expect from a "deli". Truly disappointing.

Really enjoyed being able to come in and sit here after coming from out of town for a tough day. Wonderful gargonzola salad with delicious, fresh chicken salad added, perfect sweet potato fries, and an excellent chicken sandwich for my husband. Everything was clean, well-spaced and very comfortable.

If you want the best chicken salad and egg salad. go pick up and take out there! I have never had any better! The food is excellent too! We're so happy we found this place! They also offer outside seating.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch. It was great! The restaurant is following social distancing by placing a sign on every other table stating that this table is not available. I had a Village Club that was delicious! It's a little pricey for a lunch sandwich - $10 for a sandwich and chips - but it was a big sandwich. Also, they have outside dining in the shade, which was nice on this hot afternoon. I will definitely be back.

This is a good restaurant but they are a little slow due to Covid-19. The food if amazing I had the pasta salad and the ham and cheddar cheese panini the panini was alright but the star of the dish was the pasta salad.

Just enjoyed lunch here and am a fan. I ordered the fried tomato BLT and it was very tasty and filling. Didn't have to wait too long for the meal to arrive, despite it being a busy lunch rush. Everything in the sandwich tasted fresh and homemade, including the ciabatta bread. Surprisingly, the standout wasn't the fried green tomatoes but rather the pimento cheese.

I liked that it had a more creamy sort of texture that helped balance all the fried goodness from the tomatoes and bacon. My one knock is that although the size of the sandwich is decent, $10.25(+tax) for a sandwich, small bag of chips, is a bit high. Tack on an extra $1.25 if you want to substitute your side.

I love that this locally-owned spot is open early for breakfast. They serve a fantastic spread for 10 bucks and have ample space for meeting others and kicking off the day. My only complaint was that the wifi was a little spotty and kept kicking me off. They were only two gentlemen working this morning when I was there and they held down the fort incredibly well, this includes the guy cooking in the kitchen. Love y'all, Village deli! See you again soon. PS: they are incredibly vegetarian friendly at lunch with tempeh and tofu options. Yay!

Don't know why I haven't heard about this place! I walked in and the lady taking my order was friendly. I ordered one of the hash brown bowls which was surprisingly delicious. Also ordered a croissant just to see how it was. Only thing missing from there breakfast menu is something sweet like French toast or something along those lines. But overall-staff 5/5 -food 5/5 -price 3/5 (a little pricy but it is raleigh) sweet tea 5/5 (hard to find a good sweet tea)

Good sandwiches, soups. Solid food. Love the burgers and subs. Good breakfast as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. In the past they have had some issues, but they seem to have new management that is addressing the past issues.

This was my first time eating at Village Deli and Grill. It was pretty good. I ordered the California Chicken Salad sandwich.it came with cucumbers and Apple slices on it. They also give you the option to choose your bread type and if you want it toasted or not. Once ordered, they give you a number to take to your table. They bring the food out to you. The atmosphere was nice with a laid-back casual feel. A few TVs with SportsCenter is a nice touch. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other menu items.

Okay food for a high price. I came here for lunch last week and ordered the Turkey Brie Panini with Sweet Potato fries for an additional charge. The size of the meal was okay but I paid around $16 for it including a sweet tea. The sandwich itself was good but the turkey had a funky taste. The sweet potatoes fries were not good at all. They were over-fried and they tasked like they had been fried in very old oil.

So all in one, I would say I might give this place another try but I think that it is way too expensive for what it offers. Let's note that it is not a full served restaurant. You still have to order at the counter and clean up after yourself. For that price I would expect more service or at least real plates and silverware instead of the typical fast food baskets.

For $45 I want real silverware with my dinner! You order at the counter and get a number and they bring your food. I feel like unless it is takeout and you are not getting a sandwich you should get some real silverware. We were at the hospital and wanted something before we made the drive home. We ordered the fish and chips, the roast beef panini, and an appetizer of fried green tomatoes.

As we were ordering, we wanted a beer with our meal and they were behind the counter in a case, we asked if there was a list, there wasn't so my husband went behind the counter to read the names because the girl at the counter wouldn't read them to us. The food was good, the batter could have been a little more true to the fish and chips style batter instead of a cracker meal, but it was still good.

The fries could have been cooked for about 15 seconds longer so they weren't pale and pasty looking. My husbands panini was good, he said the horseradish cream was delicious it could have used one more slice of meat. The fried green tomatoes were delicious! All in all, it was a decent meal.just needs a little improvement.

I ordered the smoked chicken panini and a bag of chips online. I intentionally ordered it to go at 11:30 to beat the lunch rush. I chose the option to have it made right away. I got there about 30 minutes later and was told, oh you are here. I'll have them get it ready. Ten minutes later, it was ready. What I didn't realize is that after I ordered online, I received a second email saying my food would be ready at 1220?! That's not right away. What's worse is that the bag of chips was placed on top of my sandwich inside the to go box. Ewwww.

Not sure how many hands touched that bag. Sandwich was tasty but colder than I would want a panini as it sat there for about 5 minutes before the girl behind the counter noticed it and gave it to me. Not sure I will be back based on that service.

Not sure why they have a 3.5 star rating but hey every is entitled to their reviews! Having dined at 3 of the 4 locations, I feel that they have done a great job with the aesthetics and the consistency of the food. Their location is tucked back, not the ideal but their name in the market place helps! Today, I ordered a Breakfast Wrap To-Go, staff was super friendly, food was prepared quickly and was pipping hot and tasty!

Other items I would recommend are the Chicken salad, Gorgonzola salad, the Reuben and Avocado turkey brie Panini. Oh and there is a yummy breakfast sandwich on their "special" menu that is to die for!
