D'Amico provides amazing food! That is something they will always do well at. The most feedback we heard from our wedding was how amazing the food was. We were not as impressed with their customer service. We worked with our catering contact on having champagne passed out by the waitstaff after the ceremony (we were originally wanting to bring Tiny Tap on to do this, but our contact convinced us not to).

Instead she proposed we have waiters standing on each side of the pathway with trays of champagne - sounds elegant, right?! Unfortunately, there was no champagne being served when people were walking up from the venue site. No servers, no champagne, no trays, nothing. While this is a small thing - we still got the $1200 bill for the champagne (I imagine people did drink it later, but that was not our intent).

I brought it up to our contact. She did not address our email. We would have loved to at least have her respond and hear us out and her say "I am so sorry that did not go as planned." Honestly we deserved a call, but clearly our wedding was over and she did not care. That day we brought it up to D'Amico staff and a bartender onsite at Bavaria Downs.

The bartender treated us HORRIBLY. It was 30 seconds after we said I do, and the first person we spoke to as husband and wife. Honestly, it was a huge let down and disgrace for the venue and catering company. We also has a specialty drink - rose after our dog Rosie - D'Amico served champagne as the specialty drink until me, the bride, pointed it out. I thought specialty drinks were a normal thing and a top tier venue like Bavaria Downs and D'Amico would figure it out.

We evaluated damico as the caterer for our wedding reception but did not select them. Pros: staff were friendly and helpful, they offer a lot of additional services, food options are tasty and pretty allergen friendly. Cons: options were very inflexible, pricing is opaque and when we managed to get an estimate it was more than double the other caterers we were looking at. If your venue allows you the option, use someone else.

After my husband and I went to his business Christmas party catered by D'Amico, we were so impressed with the quality of service, aesthetics, and taste, that we decided that they were the only option for catering our wedding at the History Center. Anne was incredibly flexible, patient, and helpful to us, the food was probably the best I've ever had, and we've heard from many guests that that was the best wedding reception they had been to.

I'm an artist, and visuals mean a lot to me, so I especially appreciated the impeccably artistic plating for each and every one of the 115 plates. Everyone was pulling their phones out to take pictures of the food because it was so beautiful! We decided to budget on a lot of wedding things but spend the majority of our budget on food so that the guests could be treated, and we do not regret the decision at all. It was certainly pricey, but in our opinion, worth every penny. Thank you, D'Amico for the best wedding ever, and a fantastic and stress-free experience all along the way!

D'Amico Catering was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. Their whole team brought their A-game throughout our entire planning process. Our planner Kristen was excellent and helped us to plan every aspect of our day with impeccable attention to detail. They were so thoughtful in their execution and came up with ways to make the day so special beyond just their amazing food.

We had the best server, Tom, who was so gracious and welcoming all night. He made us feel like royalty and always had what we needed. The food was amazing, we received so many compliments from our guests on the great selection and quality of food provided at the event. I am still dreaming of my Salmon, it was that good! They even created a custom dessert to top off the most amazing service. Thank you D'Amico for making our wedding day so special!

Attended an event at the Beach Club yesterday, and D'Amico Catering was outstanding! The food and beverages were great, but what made the experience even better were the staff. Shout out to Marissa, Madi, and Anne! Top notch!

D'amico worked with us through the entire process with food and wine tastings as well as a complete run-through of the night related to food and beverage services. They helped us design our signature cocktails and helped us work through food allergies such as gluten intolerance and selecting options for our vegan guests. All the food was tasty and the display from hors d'oeuvres, main meal, dessert buffet, to late night nacho spread was beautiful. Glad to of had D'amico catering with us for our big day.

We had a wedding at Mill City through D'Amico Catering originally scheduled for the summer of 2020 that was ultimately rescheduled for summer of 2021. The process of rescheduling and figuring out the new contract was a nightmare and I would never do this again. D'Amico Catering was vague about their policies and employed a lot of disingenuous tactics to take advantage of their clients.

They also were unprofessional and poor communicators, which made the entire process a huge headache and delayed a lot of time sensitive planning. For example, we had an original count of 250 people, but due to the governor's ordinances, that number was now limited to 50, although it was unclear if that limit would change in the near future. Due to the slow and incomplete responses we were getting from our coordinator, we were now approaching less than 6 weeks from our rescheduled date, and still without any solid confirmation on details.

In the process of getting a rescheduled date, they tried to hold us accountable for the original minimum food/beverage amount for 250 because they "hoped our rescheduled date would allow us to have greater than 50 guests". So basically they wanted us to plan for a wedding of 250 people when we did not have that guarantee. It is impractical to invite and disinvite anywhere between 50 to 250 people in less than 6 weeks, but they didn't seem to understand that and it was challenging to get them to compromise. D'Amicos coordinators (Specifically Anne Bohnsack and Rachel Bruzek) were also unprofessional, slow with communication, and paid little attention to detail.

There was even a point when Anne was intentionally avoiding our messages. We emailed her days ago with no response, and finally called her office phone to follow up. The call went to voicemail after two rings (ie she was screening calls), but she immediately answered when we called through the main office number. There are many more examples, but this will hopefully give you an idea of what we went through. Be wary of working with D'Amico.

My family had a fabulous Easter dinner thanks to the D'Amico offerings. The preparation was a cinch, the portions generous, and the food very delicious. If you ever get a chance to have the blackberry key lime pie.jump at it!

Ordered the Thanksgiving dinner - it was delicious! Pick up was streamlined and contact-free. Packaged well in labeled, aluminum containers that went right into the oven. Good instructions included on reheating and a beautiful garnishes. The entire meal took 1 hour to "prepare" allowing more time for the host to enjoy cocktails and guests. What are you cooking up for Christmas? My family is definitely in!

WOW! Our daughter's recent wedding at the Calhoun Beach Club was absolutely phenomenal. The venue itself was stunning, of course, but it was such a comfort knowing that the D'Amico food was something we didn't have to worry about! Kristen worked with us on every detail, always with a sweet and helpful attitude. And, as expected, everything was PERFECT.

The appetizers were a big hit, and everyone raved about the salad and entrees. We chose Salmon with Pesto, Chicken with Pureed Potatoes, and Short Ribs with Balsamic Glaze and Risotto. Perfect. Every single one of them! Thank you to the chefs and the amazing staff for a better experience than we could have imagined!

We LOVED our experience with D'Amico & Sons at our wedding at McNamara Alumni Center. The food was fabulous (even guests commented on it), the bar service was flawless, all service staff were incredibly friendly, and Anne and Molly were super easy to work with. Plus, the tasting session is a huge bonus--so yummy! Are they more expensive than other options? yes. Are they 100% worth it and your guests will notice the difference? Yes. Can't recommend them enough!

Catering Review ~ My wife and I used D'Amico for our wedding reception in May. For context, my wife and I live in Seattle, but she is from Anoka, just outside of the Twin Cities. So when we decided to have our wedding there it meant we would have to do a lot of the planning from a distance. One thing we decided we couldn't do from a distance was the catering.

So I scheduled us meetings with 8 different caterers in the Twin City area during a trip we had planned in February (the goal of the trip was to solidify a few of the in person details we still needed to take care of). Almost all of the caterers were quite pleasant to chat with, and a few had pretty good food, but D'Amico won us over with their price point and offering.

Before we went to meet with Christie Altendorf at D'Amico we were almost 100% sure we were going to go with Vittles as the caterer for our reception. (We ended up going with Vittles' food truck Kabomelette for our rehearsal) But after comparing side by side D'Amico and Vittles we just had to pick D'Amico. The funny thing here is that we didn't actually get to try any food with D'Amico.

So going into the wedding we were simply going on reputation and the overall cost to offering ratio. Mind you, the lack of food tasting was not entirely on D'Amico. I had been in touch with Christie and thought that we had confirmed a date/time, but when I looked back I saw that she had asked for email confirmation in one of her last emails to me, and I hadn't responded.

After choosing D'Amico for our catering services we had a few rounds of changes to the contract and numbers before finalizing and putting a downpayment on it. Christie was extremely easy to work with during all of it. It's a hard line to walk between cost effective and not seeming cheap. I think we managed that quite well. The day of the wedding, Christie's team there for the wedding was on point and practically invisible, save for the bartender, who was kept quite busy with everyone running to him for cool IPAs on the ridiculously hot day our wedding turned out to be. (Mid 90s in MAY! Who'd have guessed?!?) The team was also quite helpful in other ways as well.

They cut our sheet cake even though we had people to do it, and it would have been an extra cost, had we written it into the contract. The food. Oh the food. So delicious. Having not actually tried the Fresh Faire we didn't know what to expect. But it was a hit! We had vegans in the form of my sister and a few of my wife's invites, so D'Amico came up with a delicious jackfruit taco for the vegans, which ended up being the hit of the food for EVERYONE, not just the vegans.

I can't tell you how many people we had come up and compliment the jackfruit. Even now a few months out people are still talking about it when our wedding is brought up. In all we are super happy with the service provided by D'Amico, Christie's willingness to be flexible and change the contract for us a few times, and just the overall awesomeness of the food on our special day. Thank you D'Amico, and than you Christie.

Our office frequently orders boxed lunches from D'Amico. I like their strawberry salad which comes with the obvious greens and strawberries- in addition there is chicken, chevre cheese, walnuts, and a lovely balsamic vinaigrette. All in all you cannot go wrong with this salad. Box lunches come with chips and a cookie or you can sub fruit. As I've stated before I am a lettuce snob so I find it really annoying when there is so much lettuce rib and not actual leaf.

Not to mention when the lettuce itself has bad spoiled pieces. Therefore I always carefully pick through any salad I do not make myself. There was about a good cup and a half of bad lettuce in my salad.

I have experienced Damico Catering at a few events. Let me start by saying the food is amazing. It tastes like you are at one of their many fine dining restaurants. What really impressed me was the professional service they bring. If your planning a event consider Damico Catering. They are the best you can get. Dp

D'Amico catered our wedding at Wabasha Street Caves. We couldn't have been happier. We had an hors d'oeurves menu which was enjoyed by all. Not a single complaint, plenty of raves about what everyone thought was the best on the table. We also had a mini dessert selection instead of cake, also enjoyed by all. The back and forth emails with the coordinators made it easy to plan though we are from out of town.

A few details weren't clarified in the planning, but easily redirected on site. I requested linens for a table at the front. We asked that we be informed of when to open/close the buffet, and the manager asked us herself or sent a server. We were pleased with everything. My only complaint was that the tastings are not at all convenient, especially if you are from out of town.

So we were unable to do one at all. However, I was familiar with the restaurants and their quality and trusted that with our wide menu selection we would have more good than "ok" food. It all was, in fact, marvelous and there genuinely were joking arguments over what was best and few complaints. Thank you for contributing to our delightful night! Between you and the venue, everything was perfect.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Metropolitan Ballroom on 5/30/2015. Kristen, our wedding coordinator, was amazing to work with prior to the actual wedding reception (we had a sixteenth-month engagement so we worked with her for a long period of time). She was extremely prompt with returning e-mails and was always so friendly/professional.

We were SO impressed with the staff at the Metropolitan ballroom. Everything went very smoothly and they treated us like royalty! Audrey (server at the head table), Josh (event supervisor), and the bartenders were awesome! The food and cake were absolutely delicious! The food presentation was beautiful. The cake looked exactly like what we had requested.

We received many compliments from guests on how amazing the food/cake were. The cake we had was literally the best cake I had every eaten (vanilla buttercream/chocolate cake with ganache filling & vanilla buttercream/white cake with raspberry filling). very moist and flavorful. Our night was perfect. The staff even insisted on going out to the store to bring me back my favorite pop for the evening since they didn't have it at the bar.

The Metropolitan Ballroom is a beautiful facility that is very well-maintained. The exquisite decor makes it a very elegant and classy location. As you can tell, we can not say enough wonderful things about this location and could not have imagined having our wedding reception anywhere else! We highly recommend D'Amico catering for your next big event!

D'Amico catered my July backyard rehearsal dinner and wedding at the Mill City Museum. Robin Guerrero was our point of contact for D'Amico, and she was absolutely amazing to work with. The entire operation was seamless. We had a large wedding and we were particular with the details. D'Amico offered to cook whatever we wanted, as long as we provided some recipes and guidance.

We did exactly that - we chose partly from the menu items they had in mind, and then I gave them several recipes for other items. They were really great about my picky little instructions - no dill, etc. Robin sat down with us to go over the menu, and offered great suggestions based on what was in season and what D'Amico was already good at. Our guests told us that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had - EVER.

For the rehearsal dinner, they set up in my MIL's backyard. The staff were professional, and the food was perfect. They worked with my wedding planner to make sure everything was set up in the right spot, and everything was efficient, on-time, and delicious. I even requested that we spiral cut the hot dogs we were serving, and that was done perfectly, too!

For the wedding dinner, we opted for another buffet but with hand-passed salads, as Robin suggested. The food was amazing, and there was plenty for everyone. For our dessert, we chose a small cake to cut, sheet cake for guests, and then a dessert buffet spread. My wedding cake was a white cake with raspberry filling, and then also a white cake with lemon filling.

I only tasted the raspberry, but it was amazing! I had been so worried because white cakes often end up being dry, but this was not the case. It was absolutely delicious, and I'm actually going to shoot Robin an e-mail to see if we can get a smaller replicate cake for the holidays. Robin also coordinated with our other vendors, worked with us to make sure that the wine we brought to the venue was in the right spot at the right time, and served properly.

She was a dream to work with - accessible via e-mail and phone - and really made our wedding the best that our guests have ever been do. They even worked with us to serve pizza at 11:30, once the dancing had been going for a long time! At the end of the night, the staff packed up remaining cake and a pizza for my new husband and I to take back to our hotel.

We were famished, and it hit the spot. The next morning, I realized that my wedding dress (I had changed into a reception dress) was missing. I sent Robin an e-mail, and she was immediately on high alert to find it. Luckily, it was tracked down to the undercarriage of my sister's stroller (whoops.) Overall, D'Amico did a stunning job with our wedding weekend. Feeding 180+ guests for two days off their menu repertoire didn't faze them.

I want to reiterate - many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, and I found D'Amico and Robin to be absolutely professional and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend their services.

D'amico oversells their events and throws away half the food just to charge you more. They also add a service charge onto their final bill and do not use that to tip their staff, but use it instead to add to their bank account. Beware.

My husband and I used D'Amico Catering for our wedding at the IMS in Minneapolis, and we couldn't have been happier with our overall experience! I had always heard wonderful reviews from friends about D'Amico, and I'm glad to say that I listened to their recommendations. From booking the reception site, to attending tasting events, all the way to the night of our wedding reception, D'Amico made the experience of planning our wedding extremely memorable.

Our coordinator Robin always was available to go above and beyond for us, being completely patient when we sprung last minute meetings on her, haha! And if she wasn't available, anyone jumped in to see what they could do. That was much appreciated. But the BEST part was definitely the FOOD! ALL of our guests still rave about it saying it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding!

One of our picks was the braised short ribs, and the meat was so tender and juicy, it fell right off the bone! I know a lot of brides say they didn't have time to eat at their wedding, but there was NO WAY I was going to miss out on that meal! We did a mini dessert buffet and those were to die for. not one piece was left on the table! Service was wonderful, and several of our guests mentioned the same to us.

The event supervisor was always checking in to make sure everything was going the way we wanted and planned and were very helpful with take-down at the end of the night. We highly recommend D'Amico for your next event :

I used Damico catering for the first time this weekend for a bridal shower. It was WONDERFUL. The service was FANTASTIC. They take all the work out of it for the client. All I did was tell them the head count. They picked the perfect menu (though the clients can pick that too but I wanted to think as little as possible and worry as little as possible about it!).

Everyone raved about the food and it was kid friendly enough I didn't have to do anything special for them, which was really nice. The food came on time and the delivery driver was polite and helpful. It really met my expectations not only of great food but of making it really easy and stress free for the client. They really do it right.
