France 44 started off as a simple bottle shop in 1950s in the infamous Gateway District of downtown Minneapolis.

In addition to being part of France 44's wine staff, Adam (he/him) is also in charge of building maintenance as well as being the team's unofficial ambassador for wines from Slovenia and Croatia.

They have an incredible selection of beer and a very impressive selection of scotch. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Every time I have looked lost while staring at bottles someone swoops in with guidance and a recommendation. I've gotten some great scotch here simply by looking overwhelmed!

Another exceptional visit and collection of craft beer treasures to smuggle back with me to IL on the other side of the Mississippi River (don't laugh. It's a geographic boundary that limits beer distribution). Very knowledgeable and helpful staff in every department. I can't speak highly enough for the deep knowledge and recommendations from their craft beer stewards. Every time I visit family in Edina I go here at least twice. Once at the start of my visit to provision for my visit, and once at the end of my visit to take back home.
