At 12 years old, John had the opportunity to work with his grandmother, a cook and banquet manager and even though his only task at that age was to wash dishes, he knew then he was destined to have a career in catering. His love for the industry was further strengthened when he would spend his teenage summers "down the shore" cooking in restaurants.
