Lauren comes to Artemis with 22 years of professional experience in the culinary and catering business. Having grown up just outside of Portland on a small farm, Lauren has deep roots connecting her to the sustainable practices and local foods of this area. She started her culinary career in Sun Valley, ID, working for Sun Valley Company.Starting as a pantry chef, Lauren worked her way through the kitchens of Sun Valley learning all aspects of the trade. In 1999 Lauren was named Head Chef of Piccolo Restaurant, an intimate Italian Bistro that focused on artisan food.

Artemis Foods was 100% the right choice for our wedding. First and most importantly all of the food was delicious, and not just for wedding food. I'm still receiving compliments. We loved that the food was local and seasonal. Really showed off NW flavors to our visiting East Coast family members. Finally Lauren was wonderful to work with. We had to move our date several times due to the pandemic and she was so flexible and gracious. From the beginning everything was well planned and laid out, and the wedding itself went flawlessly. Artemis Catering should be your pick for your next event! After dealing with problems related to Covid-19, Artemis swooped in to help save the day for our wedding this September! Not only was the food beautiful to look at, it was absolutely delicious. Artemis uses locally sourced and seasonal ingredients! Our guests were extremely impressed. My husband and I made sure we had time during our wedding to actually eat the food because we were so excited after our tasting about it!
The owner, Lauren, was extremely lovely and so pleasant to work with. The staff at Artemis are very professional, friendly, and were just an all around joy. When we chose the fried chicken as an option for the main entree, Artemis insisted on frying onsite to ensure the chicken was hot and fresh - this is when we really knew we hit the jackpot with caterers! They really care about the quality. I would give Artemis more stars if I could. Truly a wonderful company to work with. Thank you Artemis!

We ordered the fried chicken dinner for delivery. We all agreed it was the most amazing meal we have had in months. I am a lover of fried chicken and have tasted many versions. This was the best: crispy and flavorful and, best of all, not dry! The mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables were equally delicious.

Artemis is my favorite caterer to work with in town! They are incredibly helpful down to every detail: selecting menu, designing space, service and clean up/load out. Their food is INCREDIBLE and their service is top notch! I've worked with them on over 3 dozen occasions and each time they totally nail it. I can't say enough great things about the entire team. If you're not hiring them for your next event, you're sleepin.

We had an important work anniversary luncheon catered by Artemis Foods, at our office. From start to finish they were professional and dialed in. We had multiple dietary restrictions within our group that was accommodated without issue. No one had to put any thought into what they were eating because it was all GF and the Vegan/Vegetarian option was called out separately.
My co-workers couldn't stop talking about how delicious it all was! It makes you feel good to know that they care about sourcing local and sustainable foods.farm to table. Without a doubt, I wouldn't hesitate to hire Artemis Foods again for any function that needed catering.

Artemis Foods catered my corporate event for two days at the Portland Center Stage. The service leading up and during the event were terrific. The food and presentation were fantastic. I received several compliments from the guests. Heidi, Artemis Event Planner, worked around my crazy schedule the day before the event and met me very early morning to have a run-through of the event and set-up. I highly recommend Artemis Foods and would book their services again!

Artemis catered our wedding at Ecotrust and they were great! The food was innovative and very high-quality. They suggested cost-effective options and were not all about maximizing the bill. They accommodated our very specific instructions about salmon-preparation, and the salmon was to-die-for. They were also flexible about some last-minute changes we made.
The only quibble we had was, they waited until about a week before the wedding to get in contact with us to confirm rentals, menu, etc. This made for a somewhat more stressful wedding week. We would've liked more lead time to work on those details. But overall, if you're looking for true professionals and amazing food, Artemis is highly recommended!

What an Amazing GROUP of professional caterers. We had Artemis, with Heidi at the helm cater a lovely wedding meal. Their team saved the day when one problem after another was encountered with the site. The Artemis team, solved problems, acted quickly and professionally, and delivered amazing food, amazing presentations, with a charming staff. Our bride and groom never knew the site was not clearn, and the site staff was not ready and not helpful. Artemis stepped in and did it all. Artemis foods did a wonderful job of catering our wedding. Even with a last minute staffing change, everything went great, on time, and the food was delicious. Everyone was great to work with, they understood our vision for delicious non-fussy food and executed the vision perfectly. We were able to work with them to personalize our menu by bringing in a whole roasted Chinese pig from an outside authentic source. Thank you for helping make our wedding fun, amazing and delicious!

We used Artemis to cater our wedding and everyone in attendance raved about the food and how it was the best event food they had ever tasted. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation was gorgeous and Stephanie and the rest of her team were a dream to work with. If i ever host another event I will use Artemis! Artemis catered our wedding. For months after our wedding, friends and family members were telling us how amazing the food was. Not only was the food top notch, but the service they provided was amazing. They made everything super easy for us. I have never hired Artemis, but I've had their foods on about a half dozen occasions. They specialize in local, sustainable, seasonal and often organic. They are connected into the architecture and green business community. They are quite creative in their finger foods, the presentation is great and the flavors have been nothing but superb. Artemis Foods did a superb job of catering my sister's wedding last summer! The buffet was a feast for the eyes--and the belly. There were great chicken and fish dishes, along with faux crab cakes that were actually vegan. Artemis Foods provided a variety of sodas, and the appetizers (cheeses, fresh fruits) highlighted the bounty of Oregon. I wish the folks at Artemis Foods were my own private cooks.
