Co-owners Vernon and Denise Thorne founded InStyle Caterers, formerly known as Calypso Jazz International Cuisine Caterers in 1990. Denise is a banker turned stay at home mom turned caterer with no prior hospitality experience but a passion for good food and service. Through hard work, commitment, extensive research, education and a penchant for looking and learning; InStyle Caterers has become an organization with a reputation known for integrity, excellent food and outstanding service.

InStyle Caterers is OUTSTANDING! I just had my 60th birthday celebration with 50 persons and I wanted a delicious menu which was not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill. I asked Denise, the owner, if InStyle would prepare chicken adobo, tabasco salmon cakes with lemon aioii sauce, hushpuppies with cheddar and jalapenos, grilled vegetables, herb & cheese baked grits and zesty cole slaw.
I also asked her to make paella for a pre-party which I hosted the night before. InStyle DELIVERED! The food for both parties was absolutely delicious! Guests raved about the food and demonstrated how much they liked it by going back for more, more, more.
