Fortunato's Italian Deli

Went in for a chicken parm hero based on their own description that they're a "NY style deli". After tasting the hero, I wonder if they're in Tucson because they got thrown out of NY? Having been born in the Bronx and raised in Southern NY, I can confidently say that the chicken parm at least, is NOT "NY style". The chicken is a round, preformed, frozen patty. A cardinal sin in NY, and to anyone who claims to know how to cook Italian food. I will not be going back.

This might be the best sandwich place in Tucson. Deli meat is always very fresh. Convenient place to stop before you go up to Mt Lemon.

We're on a tour of Tucson's Italian Delis to find the best one. This is it. The sandwiches were delightful and authentic. We'll be back as often as we can.

Website front page says they have pepperoni and dry sausage sticks. I went here and asked for them, but the employee said he's never heard of them.

You'll never have a better sandwich. Meats and cheese are cut to order and the staff is wonderful. Hands down best deli in Tucson.

Great place to get good sandwiches, everyone is nice and i like that they give you a picke spear with each sandwich.

The sandwiches are really flavorful. Lots of veggies on the titanic and their house dressing makes the sandwich taste great. they have been putting less meat than they used to but overall still a great tasting sandwich

Everything is amazing, from the deli sandwiches to the cheesecake. They always greet you with a smile. One of our favorite hidden gems in Tucson!

Picked up sandwiches for a picnic on Mt. Lemmon. They were very nice and the coleslaw was also good.

I already miss Fortunato's Italian Deli! The quality of the meats and breads they serve are great. The sandwiches are sooooooooo good. The rueben is one of my favorites and the potato salad is shockingly great! Oh, the homemade cheesecake is also good. Even more importantly, the staff are so thoughtful and sweet. They are very loving people. Thanks guys!

A true deli. Fresh ingredients. Quality meats. Delicious breads. Nice pastas. Killer sandwiches and a great meal. They have been in business since I was a little one, I would say at least 35 years. That says so much on its own. A special treat.
