Growing up in Charleston in a Greek family, delicious food has always been a priority to chef Jennifer Banis. During her work experience in high-end restaurants in Charleston, San Francisco and Portland, Jennifer worked in both the front of the house as server, dining room manager and events planner, and in the back of the house as line cook and garde manger.
Choosing a caterer for your wedding is no small decision! Taste, presentation and vibe all come together to make a memorable experience for your guests. From the start, we like to work closely with your food tastes and style to create a menu that represents you as a couple and all of the amazingness of Maine produce, seafood, cheeses and meats.
Each wedding menu we create is carefully customized to meet the specific wants and needs of our clients. Pricing will range significantly based on menu selections and the size of the wedding. The following are some sample wedding menus. Meslcun with julienned carrots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, watermelon radish, aged balsamic vinaigrette.
We provide licensed and insured bar service for the weddings and events we cater. If you are in need of event or wedding bartenders or have any questions about putting together a bar menu, let us know. We are happy to help! There are so many great local craft breweries in Maine and we are fortunate to be able to serve them up for you. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Not only were they extremely professional, their food was excellent. We chose to have non traditional wedding food with appetizers like chicken and waffles and mini lobster rolls, and they were most definitely the right people to deliver. We received rave reviews from our guests. Hire them!

If you're looking for a wedding caterer, stop searching. 111 Maine is it and more. Jennifer, Ian and the whole team are beyond fantastic and the food, oh my goodness. I am gluten and dairy free and wanted to eat on our wedding day. 111 Maine catered to our dietary needs and you wouldn't know that the recipes were altered to accommodate! The food, the presentation, the staff - top notch and the best we've ever seen.
We received endless compliments on our appetizers, food and drinks, still! When people are still talking about the food at your wedding, you know you picked an amazing caterer. I'd book them one thousand times again and would recommend them to everyone!

Jennifer, Ian, and the entire team at 111 Maine Catering are consummate professionals. From the initial request for a quote, to the tasting, to the day of coordination, I was truly amazed at the level of professionalism and drive this team has. Jennifer and Ian worked tirelessly to ensure that we got exactly what we envisioned. The raw bar, the poutine bar, and the charcuterie were all top notch.
One of the biggest issues I have with weddings today is the lack of GOOD FOOD. It is such a simple thing, you would think, but I have been to countless events where the food was just meh! The food at our wedding was INCREDIBLE! The raw bar was absolutely fantastic with fresh lobster, shrimp, and oysters. Everything this Maine boy ever imagined. Now, for the other Maine boy- THE POUTINE bar was a hit.
It made that county boy VERY HAPPY! The bar bar was fully stocked with anything a true bar should have. Great selection of beers, wine, and liquor. And super affordable as well. I would like to send a special "Thank you" to Lilly, the Team Lead, who made the day of the event so incredibly easy. Our friends and family showed up to the venue ready to work, but Lilly took all of that work and worry away.
We discussed the vision, and when we returned for the event, everything was even better than we had imagined. Her team did EVERYTHING from set up to tear down. Thanks, Lilly- you're amazing. Hire this team NOW for your event, you won't regret it!

111 Maine was the caterer for our wedding. They worked with us as we navigated COVID cancellations and multiple reschedules. Jennifer helped us select our menu which turned out to be incredibly delicious. She and her husband also set our tables and cleaned everything up after the wedding. Truly unparalleled service and professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone.

111 Maine catered our daughter's wedding 2 weeks ago and people are still talking about the food! Jennifer and her extraordinary team created the most memorable meal for us. From the raw bar, to the appetizers, to the sit down dinner, to the dessert table and late night snack EVERY BITE WAS DELICIOUS. During the planning process Jennifer was totally receptive to all our special requests.
After the tasting we knew the food would be good but on the day of the wedding she exceeded even our high expectations. Her serving and bar staff were extremely attentive, professional yet friendly and contributed greatly to the ambiance of our celebration. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had a unique vision for our food on our wedding day and Jennifer and her team brought it to life! Instead of a formal seated dinner, we wanted all our favorite appetizers served all night! Not to mention our incredible crepe bar made hot and fresh by Jennifer! The 111 team went above and beyond to make our entire wedding guests and vendors, feel like one big family on our wedding day - which is exactly what we wanted! We will forever be craving your chicken & waffles, late night garlic knots, and lobster rolls forever! Thank you for making our day so special.

Wow. What a pleasure it was to work with 111 Maine and eat their food at our wedding! A month later and guests are still telling us how great the food was. Not only was the food fabulous, but we were so incredibly impressed with the team - from the owner Jennifer to her staff onsite the day of.they blew us away. They really thought of everything and the cocktail hour, dinner and bar service were just perfect.
At one point during the cocktail hour, one of the servers came up to ask me what I wanted to sample and brought me a plate of appetizers - knowing how hard it is for the bride and groom to actually eat on their own wedding day. It was moments like that one that make 111 Maine stand out as one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding.

Everything about our experience with Jennifer and her expert team at 111 Maine was outstanding. From the beginning, the menu planning process was thoughtful and Jennifer was very accommodating of our requests as well as offering great suggestions. Every dish was delicious and memorable. The goat cheese ravioli with Makers Mark cream made a huge impression on our guests. We were particularly impressed that the food was served piping hot despite being prepared outdoors in October. We would recommend 111 Maine without reservation.

Based on positive online reviews, I contacted 111 about catering my wedding next summer. Initially, they were great and easy to work with. They assured me that my date was available and we went back and forth on menu revisions for a couple months. Just as we were ready to sign a contract and submit a deposit, they abruptly emailed me to tell me they had booked another client for that date with no explanation or apology.
There was no warning and we had been discussing and revising my wedding menu for the two months preceding with every indication that they would be our wedding caterer. I would have at the very least expected them to contact me if there was any other interest in that date instead of just sending a two sentence email saying they couldn't do it.
I found this completely unprofessional and rude! It is getting much later in the game to find a caterer and they must know that. I'm usually of the mindset that unless you have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. BUT I want to warn future couples about this so they don't have the same misfortune.
