Had their ham and cheese bagel with a vanilla Italian soda and a strawberry donut 10/10 so good!

So sad. I wrote a review and they took it down but saved my picture. I guess they don't like bad reviews! Save your money wayyy over priced for awful cake. I paid $67 for my 8 inch cake that was dry and crumbly and was supposed to have raspberry and didn't. shaking my head

The reviews led me here and I was truly disappointed. I got the Rasberry Buttercream Deluxe cake. What's up with that inch of icing? Too much! It was comparable to a common grocery store cake.

I ordered Tiramisu and French apple tart for Mother's Day gift, and they loved it. Thankful to Melissa for delivering my orders in time for this special celebration!

Very nice and clean place. Gentleman behind counter was very nice. I got some chocolate chip cookies and Sat while my car was being serviced. I did not have time to try anything eve but will come back when I go to the Funko store. Cookies where great.

I'm so sorry to report our 1st experience w Karl's was very disappointing. First, my dad wanted glaze or sugar donuts and some with Boston cream filling (you know w the pudding type filling and covered with chocolate glazed frosting). What he was given was actually sugar covered jelly donuts & a type of Boston cream, didn't look like others I've had.

The most disappointing, if the flavor was flat was that all of them were undercooked. Yes I even took a picture so I had proof. We don't get donuts often so all of us were excited to have them w our late breakfast. My moms face was not happy after eating one, she warned me her donut was slightly raw inside. Mine was too. So was dads. Be careful! Guess my hopes were too high.

Good cookies and donuts, just the classic. Decent selection at 11am on a Wednesday. Cookies 4/5, Cream Filled 3/5, Apple Fritter 2.5/5. Snickerdoodle had a good texture, soft inside with a firm outside. Nice amount of cinnamon sugar. Not a strong eggy snickerdoodle flavor I personally love but a faint taste. Cream filled was a good size and filling amount.

Sweet pudding like filling, frosting was sweet but not firm on the outside and quite messy. Fritter was of a decent sweetness but really no apple flavor. Not super crisp but crisper than it appeared to my eyes at first.

Ohhh my gosh! You guys are amazing! Still working thru the pastries. We got the Bear claws, cheese pocket. I've been in the bakery business for 48 years and its great to see & taste the quality they offer. Great staff as well! We'll definitely be back! Thanks!

This place is amazing! High quality, affordable, personable and competent staff, and a wide variety of delicious treats! My boyfriend and I like to get up early and grab a box of pastries from them every few weeks as a special treat, and everything we've ever had there is just to die for. We discovered it when looking for a Swedish princess cake for my birthday, and it was incredible! I highly recommend this bakery, and of course we'll be back.

My husband has told me that the donuts here are great, but I am writing a review for a custom cake order I put in for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Sheila was more than happy to try to create a cake based off the one that shows up in Alexandra Day's "Carl's Birthday" (which my daughter is obsessed with right now). She did a stellar job decorating it, the cake was delicious (we got chocolate cake + strawberry filling + whipped cream frosting), and it was reasonably priced. Would order from again!

I was visiting my dad for his birthday and wanted to surprise him with a special cake. He thinks Minions are hilarious, so I thought it'd be funny to get him a Minion-inspired cake. Sheila did an incredible job! The cake was delicious and beautiful. I can't thank Sheila enough for her patient guidance in figuring out how I wanted the cake to look. My dad laughed his head off when he saw it--mission accomplished, thanks to Sheila! P.S. The donuts are AMAZING! Just get a dozen (for yourself)!

Before I get started let me just say there customer service is TOP TEIR! They went above & beyond to have this order ready in a timely matter & when I had wait a few extra mins as they were extremely busy they added in some extra goodies for waiting. The cakes were SO delicious & adorable for a little girls 1st bday! You must try the spinach croissants, They are out of this world!

A lot of reviews for Karl's Bakery are for the wedding cakes, but I feel like people need to know the greatness of the donuts here. It's ironic that the lightest donuts I've ever had will make me heavier, but the carbs and calories are totally worth it. I bought a dozen assorted donuts (chose 12, all different, for $15 or so). Wish I could include a picture, but it was blurry and I ate them all before I realized it.

I don't plan on ever getting married, but I'd imagine the cake from here would be my choice--or maybe I'll just stack two dozen donuts and throw on the bride and groom figurines and call it a wedding cake.

Great service and amazing cakes! We placed an order for a cake and cupcakes. WOW! Everyone was so impressed. The cake for my daughter's birthday looked exactly as she had wanted. The cake was moist and delicious. Then came the chocolate cupcakes with whipped cream frosting! The flavor of the chocolate was delicious and the frosting was not too sweet! Thank you for making our daughter's birthday special! We will back again soon!

Called in about an hour for some Blue cake pops for my best friend sons special brunch. The gal said it had some red on it and I was okay with it. Came in to pick them up (what a cute space, gives me old school bakery vibes) and they reminded me of Spider-Man! They were a huge hit and everyone said how amazing they were! Whenever I'm in the Everett area - or need specialty desserts I will make the drive to Karl's! Everyone was so nice and what a lovely old business I will continue to support. Thank you!

This bakery gets 4 stars from me only because I haven't tried their cakes or cookies. However, their donuts are 5 star! The bismark had an abundant amount of cream in it! Sooo good. The glazed twist was fresh and soft. The glaze was nice and sweet too! We never got the giant apple fritter or cinnamon roll, but they are HUGE! The massive apple fritter is $6! I got 6 donuts for $10. Each donut is $2/ea but if you buy 5 you get 6 and tax is already included. I am definitely going back for more donuts!

Love this place! The options are stellar- if you want any dessert, you can probably find it here. The muffins are amazing & so are the brownies. There's literally a chocolate lava muffin, which I've never seen before. Their decorated sugar cookies are a little hard & taste a little stale, but they are adorable. You have to visit this place- you will not regret it :

If you ever went out to breakfast with your dad as a kid you'll love this place. This place brings back so many wonderful memories of my childhood. The donuts are amazing and it's exactly how I remember it from the 80s. Bizmarks, jelly filled, maple bars, and donuts with sprinkles. What more can you ask for? Apple fritters. Get one, you won't regret it.

They have the best maple bars, and their giant cinnamon rolls are perfection! always soft and loaded with cream cheese frosting! literally the size of a dinner plate, I get one and snack on it for a few days.

Great cookies and coffee! Whipped cream was amazing kids loved the doughnuts too, really had to hold back from getting the beautiful rainbow cake!

My experience with Karl's was fantastic. The cake tasting offered a wide array of options from different cake options to filling options. The cake tasting was presented like cupcakes with each topping option in a separate cup. This allowed us to mix and match as we pleased. We were able to provide our own cake decor and design the cake pops. We were able to send reference photos and she was flexible when we adjusted our frosting design.

The final product was a moist, flavorful and beautiful cake. The cake pops were a great texture with just enough chocolate on the outside. Karl's exceeded our expectations. We provided the flowers and cake topper to the baker and she made the vision come to life. I would use Karl's again for birthday parties and other special occasions.

Karl's is an Everett institution. It's old school and it shows. I love it. Bakeries that still just do the classics and nothing fancy is hard to come by. Karl's does just that. Massive, tasty doughnuts. I have not had anything else from here other than doughnuts and coffee. I will say, I am sure that the drop coffee from here is fine, however, do not order a latte or any other fancy coffee. It's a big miss. The latte was horrible. Fritters, great, Maple Bars, great. Hit this place up and then Funko. You will not be disappointed.

The best donut shop in Everett I just found! I was here in the way to the farmers market, and found the donuts sign outside of this shop. I was very skeptical at first and didn't know if I would like this place. I only ordered 1 donut when I got rejected for a sample. I like donuts but not all donuts. They need to be fresh and soft. My favorite is general porpoise in Capital hill.

After I had a bite and found the donut was so fresh and soft no weird aftertaste. I went for a half dozen and paid extra 8 bucks. It's $2 a donut and $10 for a half dozen. It is a little more than what you'd pay for a donut but it's worth it! The lady told me if I didn't like it then i can trade for something else. No need! I just needed more to share with my kids and my hubby.

Sure enough, my family all liked the donuts, and now I went to the shop again 2 weeks in a row. If you want fresh soft donuts, come by this shop. Sadly the farmers market won't be back until next spring. But I will come back to this shop for sure when I crave for good donuts. Note: they don't have so many variety and not many in quantity which I can tell why the donuts at this shop are very fresh.

I love old school, indie bake shops, especially if they feature doughnuts! Karl's Bakery and Cafe is located next door to Funko on Wetmore in downtown Everett. They have been in business since 1944 so definitely they have the goods to prove their staying power. Selected a chocolate raised, lemon bar, and a chocolate Bismarck to go. Paused at the outdoor seating to photograph said items for Yelp.

The lemon bar got hoovered by The Homie. Meanwhile the chocolate Bismarck got nibbled and then fully consumed by me. OMG the flavor of the chocolate glaze, texture of the doughnut, and the copious, luscious pastry cream inside. I still think about that doughnut. My goodness, mmmmm that doughnut. The chocolate raised did make it home and into the refrigerator. However, it got demolished the following day by The Homie. Three items.we're morons. We should have bought a dozen they were that good. Simple, no frills, well executed doughnuts. Yes, highly recommended!

When you want to take a break from FUNKO-ing next door, this is a great little spot to swing in for a sweet treat. Service: Very family oriented and friendly. Treats: You cannot go wrong with one of their cookies or donuts. Drinks: Coffee is delicious here as well. I don't know when their hours are but there's been a few times I walked by disappointed early evening time because they are closed.

We hit up Funko and then this bakery for a snack en route back to car ( parked in bank parking lot ) After a chaotic Sunday afternoon in Funko and chasing around kiddos, i dont know if it was the magic of the sweets or the calm atmosphere or the cup o coffee but this place was empty and amazing. 3 adults and 2 rowdy kids walking in here felt like i went back in time. Huuuuuge treats and an apple fritter the size of my head.

We had cookies and donuts at around 2:00pm and there was still lots to choose from at the counter. I thought it would be limited to choose but we all got something we wanted. M&m cookies, apple juices for kids was a big hit. Restrooms in back as well so we were all set to go back to car refreshed and will def be back next time we're in Everett.

Heard good things so I dropped in to give it a go. I was NOT disappointed what so ever! The staff was friendly and quick. The bakery was clean and tidy. The baked goods were absolutely amazing! The spinach and cheese croissant was fantastic! The chocolate croissant was excellent as well. Probably the best sugar cookies I've ever had. And they were decorated beautifully too. I'll definitely be going back!
