Joe Morley's Smoked Beef

Absolutely the worst ribs I've had in my life. Possibly the worst food served to me at a restaurant ever. We ordered a whole rack of spare ribs and it came out as a stack of tan and grey boiled meat on an dull white plate. It's like someone stuck the rack in a crockpot, forgot the salt, and thought really hard about wood smoke. No flavor no nothing.

I cannot express how disappointed I was. It's hard leaving a bad review like this for a locally owned place but this was over the top bad. We literally paid our $24 and left to go eat somewhere else. I hope ownership sees this and makes changes.

Good food. The fries were surprisingly good. The place could use a face-lift and the location is odd. But good food. Staff was friendly and Kaytlyn was nice. Hope they survive covid. Picture is the polish sausage with fries and onion chips.

Yummy variety of BBQ and healthy portions. Recommend stopping at this local BBQ spot! Ordered the 3 meat platter and jalapeno poppers.

This is not bbq. no flavor to any of the meats. Everything tasted like it was from can or sat in the fridge the Mac and cheese is just Mac. no cheese. it was offensive to call it mac and cheese. will.not come back. The ribs are dry and you can barely even bite into them.

Ok, so we were real hungry today and I didn't get the before pictures. We were celebrating a birthday and I was a bit distracted. The brisket, pulled pork and baby back ribs were all tender. The burnt ends were half and half; some were tough and others were tender but all had the crispy crust. They only served one BBQ sauce and I would have preferred more choices but it was enjoyable.

The mocha ice cream pie was a favorite for all but I LOVED the pink peppermint ice cream pie over the mocha ice cream pie. Service was ok; they were a bit understaffed but the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. The Mac & cheese was very flavorful and the kids loved it. The fries were great. The backed beans were a hit. The coleslaw was meh but the rolls were phenom! Some of us made pulled pork sandwiches with the rolls. The restrooms were clean and we are open to coming back again.

I'm sad to say I didn't like it. It's not a very fair review because I didn't order off the menu. It was at a catered dinner theater. The pie was the best part and it was just ok. I paid $18.50 for bad bbq

Good food. The sausage, baked beans, and roasted potatoes were very good. Smoked chicken wasn't great. Solid rolls, good onion chips. Fair price, maybe a bit high prices. Good service.

WOW! Terrific burnt end sandwich. The meat was well cooked as evidence from the smokey taste and color of the meat. Good BBQ doesn't need sauce but Morley's BBQ sauce was really freakin good! Then this sandwich had a drizzle of ranch. Really, really good! So good I almost forgot to take a picture of it (thus the half eaten sandwich). I've commented on another local BBQ place and Morley's, in my opinion, stomps them! In Midvale? Love good BBQ? Go to Morley's.

Pretty quick service given it's a bbq joint. Great pulled pork, brisket, and pork ribs. Kids options are decent. A long time running classic place to go for the area. Baked bean side is good. Green beans too if you're into that kind of thing :

I don't love smoked foods and that's basically what Joe Morleys does so, given that information, the food is good and well-priced. If you order a side of steamed vegetables, consider asking for no salt or light salt. The blue cheese wedge salad is good but overdressed. I ordered ribs and baked beans also and they were good, but smoked, so not my favorite.

My husband ordered a reuben sandwich, which also has smoked meat. His bread was soggy but the sandwich had good flavor. This isn't my favorite restaurant, but I know others that love it!
