1st time having it was through DoorDash. Was stuck at work and wanted something not heavy or loaded dwn with grease. Got a basic tuna melt, but it was amazing. So good infact, that I went bck the same weekend to take my wife. She loves a good tuna melt and there a few places that do it right. I've also tried there hash bowl, which is also delicious. The portions are plentiful and the prices are very fair considering the quality. Looking forward to trying there Kinish

I'd rate zero stars if I could. Where do I even start? Not only super slow service, but rude also. I got a sky high sandwich- plain white bread, dry and not toasted at all. Regular meat like what you'd make at home. The only thing that was sky high was the lettuce and tomato. And for $18.95. I wouldn't mind paying that price if the quality was worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I won't be back. If it weren't for my grandmother I would have left after I read a few of the other reviews.

I had the pastrami sandwich on rye with a pickle and pasta salad. It was surprisingly good, very tender and fat-free, and the pasta salad was delicious. The pickle was so-so. This restaurant is so large that whenever I go there, I feel like I'm the only person there. The old location in La Jolla was much nicer.

Food was good but WAY OVERPRICED! I paid 24.00 for a Corned Beef Sandwich New York Style (extra meat). That's the beginning. We were there at lunch time, around 12:30. The place was empty for a Wednesday afternoon. The service, let's not be harsh shall we, lol. We will never go back. So sorry. First and only time we will visit. Thank You.

From start to finish: Walked in for brunch and was promptly seated and given a menu. Drink order was taken and served quickly. I started out with a knish, and the Elijah sampler which was a latke(potato pancake), a blintz, and the hummus. All were very excellent choices to start with. From there I ordered the chorizo hash and a side of the corned beef hash, with rye toast.
When they came out both were still hot so I waited for them to cool. The eggs in top of the chorizo were exactly as ordered and the food across the board was very satisfying, albeit, too much for one person. So I will have dinner tonight as well. Thank you for an great Sunday morning meal!

I had the tastiest Pastrami Reuben Sandwich here today. I loved that the high-quality pastrami was on the lean side and had great flavor, perhaps a little light on the black pepper but that's OK. Quite 'messy' so I used a knife and fork. The rye bread was buttery and crunchy too. Will definitely return here again for this treat. It wasn't a deal breaker but the cole slaw was absolutely flavorless (except for cabbage flavor) but it also wasn't sweet which is a good thing.
I also could have chosen potato salad or pasta salad as a side. The staff was very professional and courteous. I found all the right Covid-19 protocols in place. There is indoor and outdoor dining available now. They're keeping their pastries in the kitchen now with just a small display out front so you can see what they have. I tried a couple tiny Prune Hamantaschen.
These didn't have much flavor compared with the ones I've enjoyed in New York. I'll probably try something else next time but the five stars is for the sandwich, reasonable prices and the staff.

Good, but not great. Quite expensive for what you get. $12 for a regular size sandwich and about 1/4 cup of potato salad. The taste of the sandwich was comparable to something you could buy from a grocery store, for a lot less money. How could this be improved you might ask? How about adding some type of condiment (not taking about the package of mustard or Mayo given with the sandwich, I'm taking about making it your own!), taking the time to shred the lettuce or even shave the turkey breast.
Or how about possibly adding some cheese to this overpriced sandwich? I could have made this myself at home in 2-3 minutes. The 'size' of the sandwich appears rather large, but that's because they rolled a single piece of lettuce up with a few slices of turkey breast giving it the appearance of a lot of food, when really it's just about five pieces of inexpensive cold cut turkey breast, a piece of lettuce, tomato slices and a slice of red onion.

Wow! Just wow! My wife and I shared the Borscht soup. I don't even like beets and that soup tasted like something from heaven! She had the Reuben Reuben Reuben sandwich with mixed pastrami and corned beef. I had the chicken club. Both were phenomenal. Such good flavors and hearty food. And the service was on point. There was almost no one else there. What a hidden gem!

If you haven't tried this place, go now! I tried the cabbage rolls because haven't had them since I was young when my mom made them. I had the garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables with them. The food was awesome! They make their bread and desserts. Delicious food and the tea actually tasted like tea and not colored water. They also have outside seating.
