Hoag's Catering

Hoag's provided a whole roast pig for a luau party we hosted and we couldn't have asked for a better catering experience. The pork was so moist and delicious and we received many compliments from guests. Ashley communicated well in advance on all logistics, arrived on time, and was very flexible - even accommodating a delay due to COVID. Would definitely work with them again!

Hoags was one of the few places in town that was willing to do brunch food for a wedding (off-site-they traveled to Lily Manor in Mifflin), and it was both tasty and affordable. Hoags was very easy to work with, and Cait was responsive to my emails-even when they were moving to a new facility. They were accommodating and always knew the right questions to ask, and were happy to set up a tasting for us once they were settled into their new location.

The individuals on-site during the wedding were professional and timely running the buffet, and were never in the way. They were clean and followed all the rules for the on-site kitchen, and were totally fine with us using some glasses from the venue and some from Hoags. I would definitely work with Hoag's again.

I hired Hoag's, after reading many good reviews, for a 3 day company sales meeting (45ish people) at my facility in State College. The food, the presentation and the pricing were all good, however I found myself helping to unload the food, tables, etc. from the van, lending an extra cart, transporting the supplies up to our designated room and setting-up/breaking-down on a daily basis.

Only 1 staff member from Hoag's was sent each day, and unfortunately, they did not allow enough time for everything to be set for our scheduled meal time. Prior to our event, during the planning stages with Hoag's, I expressed how critical it was that everything be on time as our meeting schedule is always jam packed. Since then, I have contacted Hoag's about the issues we encountered and, so far, they have refused to do anything to rectify the situation besides send a simple "I apologize. we'll make a note on the account." e-mail.

Although the staff were very nice, I was incredibly disappointed in the lack of planning exhibited, especially from such a well seasoned catering company. I am sorry to say, we will not be using Hoag's Catering in the future.

Hoag's Catering was nothing short of fantastic to work with. From start to finish Hoag's impressed with on point communications to some of the most delicious catered food we have ever had. Thanks to Hoag's for making our Penn State grad's party one to remember!

We used Hoag's to cater our wedding. We met with Diane, who was very knowledgeable and helpful in the planning process. We have several strict vegetarians as guests, we discussed this with the chef, and they were very accommodating to ensure all the foods requested would align with their dietary restrictions. We also used the tent, table, and chair rental through Hoag's.

This simplified the process and coordinating on our end. However, after the tent was set up and the day before the wedding, we got an unexpected 4.5 inches of rain. The area surrounding the tent was completely flooded and we were unable to even use the tent. I called Diane around 7:30 am the day before the wedding and they were able to allow us to use a room in Celebration Hall at no charge!

The food the night of the wedding was amazing. We had many guests compliment the food and the location. We served ice cream, which I would recommend, because it was amazing! We had some guests who claimed to have eaten 3 or 4 helpings! I definitely would recommend Hoag's (and Diane). We were happy with their services and their accommodations for all of our needs. We will work with them in the future if the circumstances ever arise!

I used Hoags Catering for my October wedding in State College at General Potter Farm. Everything was fantastic! I worked with Diane with planning our menu and entire wedding, and Ian was the one who actually coordinated it on actual wedding day. I also worked with Casey at the beginning as well. Every single person I worked with was very professional, and worked as a team.

They took time to answer any question I had and double checked details with me if they were unsure of something. On actual wedding day, our food was fantastic and every one of our guests commented that the catering was amazing. They had plenty of food for everyone, and temperature and appearance were all outstanding. I would recommend this company to any bride planning a wedding- it was well worth it!

One of the main concerns that my husband and I had planning our wedding was that we only had around 50 guest. We worked with Casey coming up with the perfect layout so the room didn't look too big. From the start Casey always responded to all my emails and question in a timely manner. The day of the wedding everything was great and everything went as planned.

The servers were so wonderful to us and our guest always making sure that we had our cups full and checking if we needed anything else. We decided on having a buffet instead of a served dinner that way people can choose from more than one option. There was plenty of food and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend any bride to choose Hoag's catering for their upcoming wedding!

Wow! We hired Hoag's Catering to cater our company lunch at Penn's Cave. They did a spectacular job. They provided us with wonderful lunch that was not only delicious but was beautifully presented. The staff were also wonderful to work with. I can highly recommend Hoag's Catering.

I have enjoyed working with the Hoag's staff and can always count on their service and good food. I used them for my daughter's bridal shower and wedding - everything went off without a hitch and the food was excellent. Did I mention they have the best cupcakes : Looking forward to our upcoming summer events with Hoag's.including 1200 boxed lunches in June!
