One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. NY Quality for sure, Midwest size. If you're looking to fill up on a great lunch and still be comfortable afterward then I'd suggest here. The sizes aren't as big as NY but they're not small either. I have never eaten anything from here and have thought, "It, it was alright." Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.

Best Reuben, best Corned Beef & Swiss, Pastrami & Swiss outside Brooklyn (or all of NYC as far as I go). Brooklyn transplants have brought real NY deli cuisine to Columbia, and everyone should be celebrating! Everyone in Columbia who wants an authentic deli should celebrate that NY Deli is open! I am not a native NYer but visited dozens of times before moving there for a year or so - in Brooklyn (Windsor Terrace).
A pile of great pastrami or corned beef with full-flavor swiss on rye - expect leftovers! Same for the Reuben. It, like the corned beef and swiss, is cooked hot to order on the grill. Not some cheap mix like fast-food places or sub shops. And while I waited, I had a great conversation with the owner and his niece. It's clear the family love goes into the food.
It's worth the five-minute detour from I-70 - Exit North on Rangline, then the first intersection is Vandiver Drive. It's about 1/2 mile (or less) on your left in a small strip-mall. Don't be shy - the owner loves to talk about family, his classic car, and life back in Brooklyn,

You need to try this restaurant! Their sandwiches are really fresh, they're generous with the toppings - and the owners get to know you by name, it's not some huge impersonal chain restaurant. I've had their catering a couple of times too - very well done, my husband LOVED the green beans almondine, they do nice box lunches for business events too.
