I rarely post reviews, but I'm hoping to save others from this absolutely horrible caterer. We went to a tasting where we were presented with properly prepared delicious food, but that is not what we got on the day of my daughters wedding. I don't even know where to start here, but we ordered "hand carved prime rib" and we got pot roast that was so well done, it wasn't even good pot roast and all but a few guests (men that were starving and eat anything) were able to choke it down.
I'm not even kidding when I say "choke it down" as I watched one guest take a bite of meat, then a drink and then struggle to swallow. Im posting pictures so you can see that I'm not exaggerating. The bride, groom, myself and everyone sitting around me got no dinner meal. The twice baked potatoes were simply baked potatoes sliced in half with stuff piped on top and the vegetables where overcooked and mushy.
The hors d'oeuvres were good, it was the only food I (and 90% of the guests) were able to eat. However, staff packed up the leftovers and took them and then they lied and said they didn't after we had 2 guest that witnessed the entire thing (one was the grandmother of the bride!) this was a big issue because everyone was starving after not being able to eat dinner and we were searching for edible food.
I wish I could end it there, but unfortunately the staff was subpar and a few of them complete idiots. Two giant bottles of Champaign were placed in the freezer by the bartender and then he forget he put them in there, so only a few guests were served champagne for the toast (can you imagine it's time to toast and no one has anything to toast with?!).
Oh How I wish that was it.however around midnight as I was cleaning the kitchen, I heard an explosion from the fridge and when I opened it (the freezer) I found the two enormous bottles of champagne had blown their corks all over the entire freezer. It took hours to clean and I had to throw away all the food that was in there. There were other issues (like changes to the original contract at the very end- changes NO ONE requested or realized had been changed). An example is some of the hors d'oeuvres were supposed to be presented by the servers on trays, but they changed it so that none of that happened it was all buffet style- which is NOT what we wanted, planed or expected. Overall, an absolutely terrible experience.
I am considering taking this company to court to recoup the money for the meals since we didn't get what we were promised in our contract, which was "hand carved prime rib". Take a look at the pics. I think it's very clear this company should be shut down.

We had an event last night and used Leiter's as our caterers. They did a wonderful job! The food was fantastic and the service was equally wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the evening. They agreed to take on my wedding, lied about calling the venue and speaking with someone about what was required of them to do for the venue. Once it was brought to their attention what was expected of them, they backed out 5 days before my wedding. Said that there were going to email other caterers to me, but never did and could not get ahold of them at all after they backed out last minute.

I hired this business to do my wedding prior to covid. At first, it started out well. However, as we got more into planning issues started to happen. Now I understand since Covid a lot has changed but for them it seems the quality and professionalism has been down hill. A week out from my wedding I was told that my plates and also cups were not ordered.
How is it a week out and you don't have that? Teri the owner acted like it wasn't a big deal and I shouldn't be upset. Then the day of my wedding the quality of food we were served was terrible. The chicken was inedible, we were supposed to have brisket and was served a quality that I think wasn't even that meat, also the pierogies tasted old and people were served uncooked cookies.
Half of my guests didn't get cake because they butchered it so badly also. Over all the food and service I was shown at the tasting isn't what we were given. On top of this the day of our wedding the owner sent us a bill for chargers that she was to provide but somehow between our planner leaving and Teri taking over our contract there was so many mistakes. Leiter's makes it seem like it's all our fault and even raised their voices at me on the phone and acted super unprofessional on phone conversations.
The only person who has been amazing was my planner who had worked there and the catering manager Karen. Be warned if you try to book them for a wedding they will not give the quality you were promised including down to the color of linens and quality of products. Do not recommend.

Teri Leiter is fantastic! From the first time meeting her, we felt like we were in good hands. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and very flexible. Her prices are more than reasonable and she clearly wanted to make sure we were happy and got what we wanted from the start. I would recommend her catering to anyone!

They served raw bloody meat at a wedding, the blood soaked into the entire plate of food contaminating all the sides that were on the plate! When asked for a refund they said that they would only refund the beef when in fact the entire meal was ruined. It's a shameful way for a business to act especially having such a negative impact on someone's special day!

Leiter's was one of the finest caterer's we have worked with. We had a COVID reduced wedding for only 50 people, which seemed like an easy task. But then we realized we had guests who were vegetarians, . gluten free, dairy free, etc. Our venue was outdoors in a State Park. We kept throwing curveballs at Leiter and to each one they said, "no problem." We also needed them to be COVID aware and keep our guests safe and comfortable. Again, no problem.
As a small business owner, I appreciated their clear and precise contracts, stating exactly what they were providing. In the end, they exceeded our expectations with service that made everyone feel comfortable and special. We asked for a Mexican buffet, which was absolutely delicious. Again we provided some special menu requests and again it was no problem for Leiter. We heartily recommend Leiter's for your special event, I am sure it will be no problem for them.
As a small business owner, I appreciated their clear and precise contracts, stating exactly what they were providing. In the end, they exceeded our expectations with service that made everyone feel comfortable and special. We asked for a Mexican buffet, which was absolutely delicious. Autumn was absolutely amazing from start to finish. My husband and I work in the service industry, so our schedules aren't exactly normal. Autumn was so accommodating, and quick to respond with our questions and concerns. Our guests absolutely loved the food, and the value for quality was incredible. As service industry members, my husband and I are rather picky in regards to service.
That being said, our front of house staff was simply wonderful. They were attentive, professional, and cared for our guests with smiles on their faces. If you are searching for quality customer service from start to finish, I recommend Leiter's fine catering.

What didn't I love about Leiters! They are super flexible. When I said I wanted to buy some things myself to cut costs they were perfectly fine with it. I was super nervous about food consider wedding/bulk food is never the best. But let me tell you, Leiters food is SOOOO good. We had leftovers too and I was beyond happy! I also have to share about the service.
The manager Mary was an angel on the day of! She came to me at the beginning of the day to introduce herself and immediately I could tell this woman knows what she is doing. She made sure everything ran smoothly and not only her but her staff were always making sure my groom and I had something to drink or enough food. It was nice when you're trying to socialize forgetting there is food and drink to have someone remind you. Couldn't say enough good things about them. Already recommended them to a friend for their wedding.
