Talk about a local neighborhood market! I'm impressed with this place, very nice people, great customer service. They have all kinds of meats and some veggies. For all the dudes out there (not to exclude the ladies) this place has the best BBQ Ribs I've had in a while. So so so good. You gots to try them I like to support local businesses and this is one on my list to do so. Come and check them out, I think you'll like it

My family and I was in the area on a Saturday afternoon in late May. We decided to pick up a few tri tip sandwiches. It wasn't too busy at 10:30am. We lined up and the cashier took our order. It was fun watching the staff grill the tri tip. They made our sandwiches in a timely manner. It was very tasty and still warm even though it was a long drive home to SGV.

Green Acres is a true gem in the culinary wasteland of Simi Valley. This is such an amazing and unique market. If you don't n ow where to start, simply order a spencer-steak or ribeye. Get you grill as hot as possible. Season that steak with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Throw it on your grill for 3-4 mins on each side. Best in Simi.

Haven't been for a few months and hit them up for a tri-tip burrito eaten there a couple days ago. Not into rice in burritos so got it sans rice but everything else included and the spicy hot sauce too of course. Wow! Burrito was massive! Tons of perfectly smoked (and not overdone) tri tip in the burrito. Super tasty. Definitely puts most Simi local Mexican restaurants carne asada to shame.easily.
I don't know what it is with most SoCal Mexican restaurants but most of them think Carne Asada should be well done and then cooked some more and then cooked some more until it's freaking shoe leather. Not here. Tri tip is on point. And no gristle. And tender. Their barbecued entrees, sandwiches and salads are solid too. I'll be back soon.

Amazing how this BBQ stand is much more busy now after the pandemic than 3 years prior. The food is still good and the BBQ sauces still awesome. The Tri-tip is not as good as I remember it, but the slow-cooked brisket with BBQ sauce is still AWESOME! Outdoor dining only. Sauces and Garlic Spread for garlic rolls are spread in the market inside.

Always go in for pre-made deli salads or sandwiches. I'm not sure if it's organic or if it's just a fresh market but it's worth it. Inside it looks like they have fresh produce as well. Also on your way in on the left hand side they have fresh local honey with small box honeycomb of bees. On the side attached to market they have a bar you could sit at & order burgers, BBQ & sandwiches.

Between the persistent smoke in the air and the beef brisket that comes drenched in sauce I can't say I'm impressed. Wood Ranch has better brisket that doesn't require sauce. Meat Locker has better portions in general. And anywhere else has a dining area that doesn't make you feel like you're eating outside during the Thomas fire. Maybe the sandwiches are good? I don't recall. This review is for the attached eatery, not the market itself.

If you like BBQ, you will love this place. It's so good that we plan our bicycle rides around this joint. It's clean and has outside seating, and although we've never been inside, I do believe you can get hard-to-find specialty meats inside. Staff is also efficient and friendly. We enjoy the fresh air outside, and dig the Trip-tip and Brisket sandwiches especially.

It's always a good day when I stop by Green Acres! This rustic restaurant truly never disappoints. My go-to is the tri-tip sandwich and they're always made super quick. Their variety of barbecue sauces are fun to try, I enjoy tasting each of them with every bite. The potato salad is my favorite side. They have an awesome market inside if you're looking for some meat to cook. The atmosphere here is always laid back and inviting.

I went into the store part and stood in front of the deli counter over five minutes without being acknowledged or asked if I could be helped. If the employees inside were all with customers I would have understood, but they were not. Thought I'd give them a try being I go by there daily, but with service like that I'll never try again. Went to the deli counter at Ralph's after that happened and was treated MUCH better.

I work near by and have been frequenting this spot for lunch breaks and even for picking up ingredients to cook at home. The service is fast, the food is tasty, and prices for prepared food are very reasonable. I especially enjoy that their food is not overly salty or drenched in sauce, they allow the meat to shine. The only down side is that the sandwiches are a little dry but I prefer that over them being drenched in sauce.
So far I've tried their Tri tip sandwich, chicken sandwich, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, beef rib, and have seen their salad which looked really good! If you're stopping by, make sure you go inside the store where you can buy raw meats, ready prepared sides, and other items from the market. It's pricey, but in my opinion if I'm splurging by eating ribeye, I want to be certain it's going to be of high quality and responsibly sourced. See the pictures rib-eye we cooked at home with Joshua Weismann's recipe!

We sat outside back when the second shutdown hadn't happened. I like this place because it's a vibe. I liked the outdoor seating and the simplicity of the food. Beans were good and the chicken was okay. I was trying to eat healthy, so had I ventured for more hearty and BBQ things, I am sure it would not disappoint. This is a place where you would want to be a meat eater, I would think.

I've been going to green acres since I was a kid. I haven't had their tri tip sandwich in almost a decade. I was excited when I arrived there and there was only one person in line ahead of me! So lucky. I waited a few minutes to take my meal home to eat it. If you want to eat outside, their porch dining is open. I had the tri tip sandwich and some potato salad. It was as good as I remember. Thank you for being a reason to come to Simi Valley!
