First of all, little upset with the price rating here on yelp, it is definitely on the more expensive side for the average joe. The cheapest entree on the menu was 20 bucks. That being said the food is DEFINITELY not worth the price. I got the four cheese pasta and it cost 7 extra dollars to add chicken and 9 to add shrimp. Which is ludicrous, especially when I'm paying 22 dollars for a mediocre pasta dish in the first place.

Food was very bland, there was nothing that really surprised me or even tasted like I could see why it was so expensive. The restaurant was very small and upon walking in I was greeted with an "how can I help you" I just responded with the amount of people in my party. Ridiculous right off the bat. The tables were all scratched up and there was visible water damage in the ceiling.

Our waitress was polite and the service from her was great. However, we showed up around 5 pm when there were not many other people in the restaurant and the hostess sat a party of 4 right next to our table and at that point, my boyfriend and I had had it and left. You would be better off going elsewhere than here where the prices are the same but the food and the ambiance is actually worth it, like ellwood.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. The drinks were good. The coconut shrimp were cooked perfectly and I wanted another sauce to take home. I am not usually a fan of salmon but the flavor and char that come from the plank are amazing! Well worth the money.

Went there on one occasion the meal was good and the next time I had meatloaf one skinny tiny piece I could eat in 2bites hiding under mashed potatoes & gravy. I didn't want to say anything because I was with a friend i don't see often, but I will next time. Pathetic how the cook could really pass that off as a meal.

Chicken Poblano soup is one of their signature items. The Italian appetizer of Arancini is great too. One of the top restaurants in DeKalb County! Lots of wines to choose from too! I've been there two times.

Stopped here on our way to visit a friend! The steak I had was cooked perfectly, and honestly probably the best steak I've ever had. The crab cakes were delicious. All of our food at our table was great, and our waitress was very nice and prompt. Overall, can't wait to return here while in the area again!

We've been here before and it was pretty good, but not this time. Waitress didn't know what vodka they had other than Tito's. Had to check a cheat sheet, but no vodkas were on the sheet. I finally gave up. Wife ordered a filet medium rare. One end of it was well done, the other was medium well. Baked potato hat so much salt on it she couldn't eat it Son ordered a burger medium rare, came out medium well. Lettuce on the burger was so wilted he pulled it off. We won't bother going back again.

Great bar atmosphere and good service. Busy place. I ordered scallop risotto.tomato soup with rice. It was so far away from actual risotto I knew that to say anything would be lost upon the audience. My husband had the beef stroganoff.it had not been made that day, it had an overheated, over salted taste of yesterday's leftovers. Maybe we ordered the wrong things.

I usually love this place. I called in for a reservation and they don't take them for 2 people. That's ok. We get to the restaurant and are informed it'll be a 30 min wait. Ok no problem. I tell the lady at the reception desk I'll eat at the bar if room opens up not picky at all. She says ok. As people are moving around from bar to tables two people walk in and the same lady then seats them at a table in the bar right in front of us. Hmmmm. Poor customer service and she never even apologized to us just said oh well.

We received a gift card for Nat's on Maple and decided to try it out. We were seated right away, the service was pleasant and quick. My wife had the meatloaf and I had the jambalaya. Spicy! Both our meals were very good

Cocktails and service were great. My husband had beef stroganoff, passable, but salty I had scallop risotto.6 scallops in a tomato rice soup. I needed a spoon. The scallops were prepared properly, but it was soup, not risotto.

Excellent dinner. The seafood was delicious - perfectly cooked. We really liked the Italian specialty and appetizer - arancini (rice balls) were the perfect way to start off our meal. The service and atmosphere made for a wonderful evening.

New to the area thought I'd give Nat's a try. First the Bruschetta is probably one of the best I have ever had. So 5 star on the Bruschetta! Perfect amount of sweet and tang with just right amount of basil. The breads are crisp with a slight softness in the center. EXCELLENT. Now the issue. 3 stars. I also ordered the beef stroganoff. I was surprised when there was no meat in it.

I didn't read description, just looked at the picture. When I went back to see if I was missing something, it said there was braised beef in it. Well mine didn't have any meat in it. So I paid $25 for noodles, sauce and mushrooms. It had amazing flavor just would have been nice to have the complete meal. Weird you forget the beef in beef stroganoff. That's a complete lack of quality control there. Over all the meal was good just a little disappointed about the Stroganoff. Received the delivery quickly.

Got the Shrimp and Grits after a hard decision because the menu is amazing. Let me tell you. I have had this dish up and down the east coast and even in New Orleans. This is one of the best I have ever had. Deep rich red sauce taste followed by grits that were just cheesy enough. I don't drop 5 stars often but this place has the ambiance and knowledgeable and attentive staff to back up amazing food. Well deserved.

We ordered take out tonight! Hannah took our order and everything was great and so yummy! We ordered 6 meals and 4 desserts and for carry out, still hot even when we got back home after 15 minutes it was like eating in the restaurant! The way they packaged it was perfect! Our favorite dessert, they were all yummy but the number 1 was the carrot cake!!! So Yummy! You must try!!!

Took my wife to Nat's for her birthday lunch. She had Beef Stroganoff, and I had Shrimp and Grits. Both entrees were great. She had a signature drink made with pecan liquor, and I had two glasses of wine with our meal. The food is fresh and a great value. But what impressed me the most was the waiter. This guy is amazing. He met us at the door, showed us to our table, and gave us our menus.

He took our drink order, made the drinks, served us our drinks, and told us about their lunch specials. All that while taking care of pick up orders and answering the phone. This guy could be teaching a course in hospitality for other restaurants. He also brought our dessert and sang happy birthday to my wife. We live 30 mile away, but we will be making the trip often.

Are you kidding me? The food is mind blowing! The service is exceptional! The Chris that works in the afternoon doesn't miss a thing. The Chris that works the evening, ,, ditto! The Togo food is packed professionally. Sauce, dressing is on the side so when you get to your destination it's not soggy. You don't even have to ask. The Crispy Cajun Chicken will knock your sox off!

The Jambalaya has heat and it's phenomenal. I thought I was in New Orleans. They don't skimp on shrimp, sausage or chicken. Just missing the crawfish. Did I mention the Pot Roast dinner? Mash potatoes and gravy with a roast that has been slo cooking all day. If you get the three Cheese Pasta your going to want to compliment it with a Blackened Chicken breast.

And my all time favorite Beef Stroganoff woo hoo. Another fellow Yelper mentioned consistency, and I'm gonna second that motion! Always plenty of shrimp, always plenty of beef, the same great flavor. So I wanna tip my hat to the Chef in the back, The unsung hero. You go person. There should be a line out the door for this food. 1/2 hour west of St. Charles. Sure beats driving to Chicago. Get there!

One of the best restaurants in the Sycamore area, actually in the entire county. Can't wait to go back! Great service, excellent food, reasonable prices for fine dining. Just be aware that they only accept reservations for big groups, so you may have to wait on a weekend.

The best meal we've had in a long time. Our waiter Chris was one of the best waiters we've ever had. He was bubbly and polite as soon as we walked in the door all the way through dessert. The little things make things great. Awesome service, people, and food. The Baileys creme brulee was the cherry on top for our dinner. One of the best creme brulee's we've had in a long time. Highly recommend. Keep it up Nat's on Maple!

Came here for Valentine's Day dinner. We were here once before and it was decent which is why I'm rating 2 stars instead of the 1 this dinner deserves. We had reservations yet waited FOREVER for our meal.which was finally brought out incorrect. Paid over $50 for a lobster tail, overcooked steak, undercooked asparagus, and dry mashed potatoes. Seriously. Waitress never offered to refill drinks, bring any bread, NOTHING. Huge disappointment for our one date night in months. Won't be coming back.

We got married at the courthouse and made a reservation for 17 people here. We had an unexpected extra, making it 18 people. They said no problem and welcomed us in! What a great experience. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Food was quick, hot, delicious. We were allowed to bring in our wedding cake and they helped us with serving it as well! Also, can we talk about how these dinner rolls put Texas Roadhouse's rolls to shame?! Thank you Nat's on Maple for contributing to such a great day!

Went with the family the other night. The food was very good. Service was good. We did have to ask for bread and had to keep passing things to others on our table. Thought that was odd when there was room for her to reach some of the place settings. It was just odd to have to grab your plate from the wait staff. She would come to one area of the table and we would pass the items.

Only one seat was unreachable and I would've been fine with that. She was nice and okay, but not exceptional. The food was very good. Our table had the calamari for an appetizer. It was cooked well and not rubbery. Entrees were the pot roast, mama's sunday gravy, coconut shrimp, salmon, and the black & bleu salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

The salad was what I had. It was fine, but nothing outstanding. For dessert, we ordered the Bailey's creme brulee and the apple dessert with cinnamon ice cream. They were both fine. The creme brulee didn't have much of a Bailey's taste at all. The apple dessert (can't remember, I think it was a cobbler) was good. I would eat here again. It's a little nicer restaurant for the area and the food was good.

We brought our large family party here to be able to. Object. We were seated in the wine room which was perfect for talking and laughing. Our party sampled the menu and enjoyed each entree. We had a gluten free member in our party and she enjoyed the selection. My duck confit salad was delicious. And a lovely wine selection!

I went to Nat's on Maple with co-workers last night and we were seated in the private room where the wine bottles were stored. I was seated closest to the wine wall. During our time there, the wait staff was in and out grabbing bottles of wine to serve to their respective tables which was fine there was plenty of room for them to pass without interrupting our meal.

Our waitress was polite and attentive. Before food came out. A Male waiter walked into the room to grab a bottle of wine like many others have. But unlike the others, he touched my shoulder and then continued to run his hand down my arm. I literally had to flinch away for him to stop and then he quickly slunk out of the room. I was mortified and livid.

How dare he try to belittle and harass me in front of my co-workers. I was just meeting people at this work event and didnt want to cause a disruption so I left the room to report what happened to the manager. The manager Tracy believed my account and said she would have to report this to the GM. We traded contact information so the GM could call me for my account.

This afternoon the assistant GM Sean called and wanted to hear my side of the story as there is " a lot of he said she said". I said sure and told my side and specifically told the asst. GM that I don't think that man should work there any longer. The asst GM asked for some other details, how big is my company, and witnesses etc but he didn't seem appalled.

He just didn't want to lose money. He only apologized when he said "sorry this is a hard call to make". and what can I do to get your business back. I told him nothing bc the damage was done. I then asked if he needed anymore information from me because at this point I knew he wasn't going to do anything. Sean said "no but just call ahead if we decide to eat there again so he can be there". (. to protect me?

From someone he knows is doing suspect activity at his establishment that serves food to the unsuspected public. Remember this man was not even our waiter and this happened to me. Is that Sean's solution to just be there?) In conclusion, NAT'S ON MAPLE IS OKAY WITH HIRING PERVERSE AND SADISTIC STAFF. WOMEN ARE NOT SAFE THERE AND THEY WON'T BELIEVE YOU IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS. I WON'T BE RETURNING. THIS WHOLE SITUATION LEFT ME UNEASY.

Being new to the area, we didn't know what to expect. This is one of the more formal restaurants int he area - but you can still feel comfortable in jeans and a tshirt. By formal I mean they are playing Sinatra, cloth table cloths and fancier food.

LOVE this place! Great service every time. Food always comes out hot and is always so fresh tasting. My favorite part is that almost every time i order the same thing, and it tastes identical every single time! Consistency is key. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the Gouda Chicken Melt. Every bite has delicious mushrooms, bacon, chicken, and the amazing garlic aioli on top of thick Texas toast. What's not to love?

Plenty of seating, great for lunch, extremely accommodating for large groups, especially about splitting up the checks, full bar, and specials change daily. It's a hidden gem in Sycamore and if your in the area, you have to check it out!
