In 2019 we booked Conns Catering for our wedding in 2020. Through the whole process Brett and his team were so kind and caring to work with. We visited the cafe and it felt great to see the work they were doing to help the community as well. Unfortunately I had to cancel my wedding due to COVID and when we let them know Brett was more than generous in offering us a partial refund on our deposit.

Although Brett is no longer with us, his team did everything they could to make sure we got our deposit back. Through this whole process I have never worked with a more amazing and responsive company. Thank you so much for everything.

Such a great company! Unfortunately the owner Brent conn passed away July 4 2020.

My fiance and I had to scramble in January to find a new venue for our Aug 1 wedding after the beach for our Highland Park venue eroded away. So we found a venue in the actual city of Chicago, owned by the city, where we were instructed to choose from a list of available caters. We chose Conns, decided on the menu and wrote a check for $3,000 as a "deposit." Then Covid happened.

All of our 60 guests were coming from out of state so everyone needed to make travel arrangements. The city's shutdown of large group events put a wrench in our wedding plans and even now, the city isn't allowing group events to suit all our guests. The city of Chicago granted us a refund for our event however after a month, Conn's still has not. I spoke personally with Brent, the owner, who told me he would grant us a $1,500 refund (so 50%) if we chose to cancel.

How generous. So I cancelled. Since then, I have left two voicemails and followed up via email three times without a response. Not only is this poor customer service, it is theft. We contracted with the city for a venue that would allow 60 people and were not provided it. The city did the right thing. Conn's however has not done the right thing and in fact will ultimately pay the price in small claims court.

This is the 2nd year this company has catered for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Senior Games. In 2017 the box lunches were excellent- fresh and tasty and the cookies were delicious. Unfortunately, not so of the luncheon buffet; undercooked pink chicken, hard potatos, bland vegetable medley, and not well dressed mesclun salad. Ditto for 2018 for the buffet and the sandwiches in box lunch were dryyy. Pasta salad was good, size was decreased. The cookie was still delish and the waitstaff was fantastic

I recently use Conn's catering to cater my wedding and the food was delicious! - Their beef brisket was definitely our favorite! Also, they did an amazing job matching colors that we wanted. When we walked into our reception venue, we could not believe our eyes on the beauty and perfection of each table setting. During cocktail hours, my husband and I didn't get to eat our appetizer but they were able to pack it up to take into our room and they made sure that my husband and I actually ate and had drinks constantly. They were so easy to work with and was very prompt answering any emails or calls, which I really appreciated. Thanks again for everything you've done for us!

The food is excellent and the service equally as astounding. The worker that assisted us during our event was SO NICE and made sure that the people taking part in the presentation got their share of food at the end. (which usually doesn't happen as we are running around all day) Thank you for making everything so EASY!

Just called the office personnel asking for a date from the computer and she said that she didn't know me and wasn't about to change her schedule for me. But to call the owner (Brent) and he could deal with me. So I called Brent and I was emmediately told to call back on Monday he was busy and then he hung the phone up. Customer service at its finest! If y'all are that busy, hire more people.
