I live in Texas and Today is my father's birthday I decided to Google cake delivery in Chicago. After a couple scrolls I came across Bake For Me! I decided to give them a call I spoke to a Gentleman named Joe and asked for delivery. He gave me a few options on what was available Besides the bad weather in Chicago and the last minute phone order he still went ahead and delivered the cake for my father's birthday. Thank you very much Joe for making my father's birthday that much special. I highly recommend this business.

Delicious! Beautiful pastries and cakes. Fresh ingredients. They also serve homemade soups & sandwiches. perfect place to stop for a quick lunch. Off street parking is available too. Ordered a carrot cake for our elderly parents (who are picky about their bakery goods) and they raved about it for weeks! Friendly staff. I highly recommend and will be back!

I made an order online over the weekend and wasn't sure if I put in my order too late. My daughter's birthday was March 23rd and I received a phone call saying my cake would be ready for pickup at 8am! I was extremely happy, because it was so last minute. I thought I wouldn't have a cake for my daughter's birthday, but I'm so happy that I did.
The cashier was so friendly and I was in and out with my cake. The cake was perfect and my daughter loved it so much. Hopefully next time I'm able to take my time and order a custom cake since I had such a great experience from this purchase.

Love this place! If you're in the neighborhood, please come in and support this place. I've been here three times and I have never had any issues or anything. I got a large hot chocolate, caramel cake, and apple danish. All were phenomenal. The hot chocolate was rich and smooth but not too much that you're full after a sip. The caramel cake was so good!
It had the right amount of sugar and the caramel wasn't too sweet. It was moist, tasty, and fluffy. It was so good. Must try! The Apple danish was really good. It definitely had a lot of apples and soft. You'll need a fork for it. They have Apple Pay so that's a plus! I left my wallet at home and I was walking the dogs. I'm glad they had Apple Pay otherwise I would came home empty handed and wouldn't have had a great start to the day! Must try! Definitely recommend this place.

I would say the pastry in the store isn't bad but wasn't a lot of variety to choose when I got there around 10ish. Maybe they sold out in the early morning. There is parking lot for customer to park. Interior of this bakery isn't bad very cozy. I would definitely want to come back earlier. There is also lunch service here soup, salad and sandwich.

Warning, possible fake reviews! Today I ordered close to 8 items from delivery and they were all DISGUSTING! The chicken salad sandwich on croissant had absolutely no flavor (think hospital food) no seasoning no distinctive onion or herb flavor, just 30 bites of blah! Listen to me when I tell you I ordered MANY cakes and bar and ALL OF THEM were so fucking old the outer layer had turned hard and dark!
Not to mention they all tasted like a refrigerator! The only thing close to passable were the toffee and peanut butter cookie, don't get your hopes up though. The "toffee" cookie should be renamed the "Charred Brown Sugar" cookie -_- Needless to say Subway has better cookies than this "bakery". The cupcake and Matilda-esque slab of chocolate cake were definitely made from a box.
I have never been so disappointed with food before in my whole life! The prices are super cheap so maybe that's why they are so highly rated? If I could flash freeze a million samples of my order and hand deliver them to anyone who doesn't believe me I would! Don't waste your money, just spend a little more and make the trek to Stan's, or hell even to Dunkin Donuts for a sweet treat!

I recently moved to the neighborhood and quickly fell in love with Bake For Me! There are so many baked goods inside I honestly can't wait to try them all! The employees are all very nice and helpful. There's free parking and a table with 4 chairs outside - when it's nice out, I could definitely see this getting used a lot so they could probably invest in more outdoor seating.
The first time I came, I got a ham/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich on a sesame bun. It was a little basic flavor-wise, but everything was cooked perfectly. It's also a little pricey (~$4) but the egg was AT LEAST 2 inches thick and there was SO much ham that it was completely worth it! I also had a basic coffee and Long John donut which was also perfectly baked - sweet enough to satisfy that sweet tooth but not overpowering!
The second time I came was around noon on a Saturday so they had run out of a lot of the breakfast sandwich ingredients (or breakfast had ended?). Instead I got an avocado and poached egg on sourdough which was well cooked and hit the spot! Can't wait to come back and see what else they can Bake For Me (pun intended)!

This place is kinda in the middle of nowhere, but as a Hyde Parker who likes Racine Bakery, I like that I can buy their loaves of bread here. Unfortunately it's no longer possible to call in special orders from Racine Bakery, but they still carry about 5 different loaves that you can use to make sandwiches, and it's a pretty good cross-section.
And whenever I come in here, I end up getting distracted by the assortment of pastries, so I buy a donut, but then they're buy-1-get-1 after 1pm or so, so then I get 2 donuts, and those are also really very tasty.

A real solid four stars for the food and an extra for being great at what a neighborhood place should be, does this sound corny, but neighborly? I was really impressed with the fact that some people were greeted by name. To me this shows they put in the effort to get to know their regulars. I'm a regular at quite a few places and they don't know my name. Queue up the Cheers theme song.
I was looking for a quiet place to recharge before going home, long on hunger short on time I remembered that Bake for Me wasn't far from home and in addition to bakery they had a mix of soup, salads, and sandwiches. This fit the bill perfectly. I had a turkey and cheddar 1/2 with soup, just perfect. The turkey was fresh and deli quality, not pressed tasteless questionable meat, the cheddar was also of equal quality.
They have black bean chili which I want to try, as that's how I make mine at home if I'm doing the bean version. I also haven't tried a cake from here, maybe sometime in the future if I have an occasion to bring one to I will. However, my husband isn't a sweets eater, and I am, which means if it's good I will end up eating the whole thing.
Maybe I should apply cake directly to butt? I don't think it's fair trying to rate this place with a POV of a foodie, they're not going for that, it's like trying to rate a drive thru as a sit down place, apples and pears. What they set out to do they've succeeded in doing very well. I look forward to coming back, who know maybe I'll even become a regular as it's close enough to home to steal away for some private time.

This place is literally an oasis nested between the warehouses and factories in Canaryville. I was in Bridgeport and didn't feel like going to Jackalope coffee shop again, so I decided to get lunch at "Bake For Me." I've known the existence of this local cafe for some time because they were the pastry supplier for the original Bridgeport Coffeeshop location (not sure if they still are).
You can get a small coffee and a couple of pastries for less than $5! They also serve made-to-order salad, panini, sandwiches, and soup. I had one of the daily specials: pepper jack beef panini. They tasted great and didn't not skimp on the amount of beef. On the other hand, the apple fritter was fresh and delectable. BFM draws in a good number of working professionals from the Back of Yards Industrial Park.
Once again, Canaryville portion of S. Halstad is quite remote, yet food at BFM is very solid in my opinion. They have a restroom (through the kitchen) available for customers. It requires a key and can be obtained from one of the clerks on duty.

A reliable place for real edible food. LOL Nice place to hang out. More than cookies, bakery, cakes.you know. *wink* Bus Stops are a few feet away. I finished my satisfying BAKE FOR ME CLUB SANDWICH in 15 mins. I like that the bread was lightly toasted. Ingredients are layered. A layer of bacon, woo hoo! About 1/2 inch of protein. Girl portion. Boys may need +side. Whatever sandwich your heart desires, they can make it for you. See CUSTOM menu. Venue has plenty of seating, clean with a happy SERVICE face and smile.

This is a great local bakery. They have a large assortment of pastries to choose from. During my visit I ordered a small coffee and apple fritter which was delicious. I purchased my items with my debit card. I was told that I need to purchase $5 minimum to use my card. My two items were a grand total of $2.24. I did not want to purchase anything else so the cashier offered to charge my card for $5.
I was given the reminder of my change from $5. My main reason for stopping by the bakery on this particular day was the Paczki. Unfortunately for me they did not have any fresh Paczki in stock.
