The Lafayette Grande is not just another wedding venue or a banquet hall. We're a premier banquet facility and wedding venue. You get excellent cuisine, the best bar service, and the attention you deserve. All of our packages and menus are crafted around your special day. A wedding at other venues is a chore, a wedding at The Lafayette Grande is an effortless experience. With our three ballrooms and two small event rooms, we can simultaneously support just about any event. We provide options for anything from small events to large weddings.

Services
We charge a Per Person price for all events. Our event prices include food, standard beverage service, staff, the rental space, parking, tables, chairs, white tablecloths & choice of colored napkins, white or black table skirting for common tables, utensils, and dishes. For weddings, we also include Champagne Toast for head table, cutting of the wedding cake, serving of the Bride & Groom. There is a 6% sales tax added to every order, and a 20% service fee is assessed on the total, not including the tax.
Our tastings are a great opportunity to bring your family and friends and let them get a sneak peek of the food and venue for your wedding! All guests are $10 per person. There will be a cash bar available as well! Please wear business casual attire. We currently have no more tastings at the moment.

The elegant and regal entrance from Lafayette St. into the Lafayette Grande. The building was built in the 1920's and has been a masonic temple, the Oakland County Government Building, hosts restaurants, and of course - the Banquet facility since 1997.

We had our wedding and reception in the Crystal ballroom. Everything was amazing! The food, bar, staff, and ballroom were outstanding. I highly recommend the Lafayette Grande! The owners are amazing and so knowledgeable about the buildings history. It is a one-of-a-kind venue that you and your guests will not forget!

The Crystal Ballroom was an outstanding venue for our wedding! Put a band in that room and the place just comes alive. My wife and I have received endless compliments about the venue, their food, and their staff, all of which were valid. The food tasting format is genius, and our suggestion here is to try the dishes that aren't on your typical wedding menu i.e. the warm potato salad and the chicken paprikash!
The staff kindly helped change our date when we decided to push our wedding due to COVID concerns and everything went down without a problem. The planning stages were very communicative and rarely did calls go to voicemail and all emails were answered promptly. On the day of staff was present, available, helpful, and professional. Particularly the bar staff, they were fantastic!
The day after was another example of professional hospitality as we had some items to pick up that we had arranged to leave overnight (as well as some items we forgot to take) and even on a Sunday we were helped getting all of our things from the building. The building itself is old, full of charm, and has numerous photo opportunities. The family has put a lot of work into renovating and promoting this great facility and it shows.
Throughout all of our venue research this was quite possibly the most aggressively priced venues in the area and they cut no corners making the quality-to-price ratio unmatched. Highly recommended!

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely stellar. The food was phenomenal. The staff was accommodating and attentive. We literally couldn't have asked for a better experience on our wedding day. All of the guests have been raving about the beauty of the venue and how excellent the food was! My mom was even told by some that it was the best wedding they've ever attended. I couldn't be more grateful for the venue providing such a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great venue!

We had our wedding at the Lafayette Grande Crystal Ballroom and instantly fell in love with the venue. The owners & staff are absolutely fantastic and easy to work. The food was great and the ballroom is absolutely beautiful. We received so many compliments on this venue and couldn't agree more. If you are looking for a venue to host an event, this is the place to be.

The quote "Live for the moments you can't put into words" perfectly explains what the Lafayette does. My husband and I couldn't have prayed for a better hall to work with. Our big day on May 4th, which was absolutely perfect, was only a glimpse of all they did for us. There are no words to express our gratitude and love for our "Lafayette family", and we truly do consider them family now.
Every taste test, email, meeting, and all the little moments in between was nothing short of fun, friendly, and professional. Additionally, the food is beyond delicious (everyone is still talking about it!) and the building is more beautiful than I ever anticipated. I've dreamt about the Lafayette Grande since I was a little girl and thanks to their exceptionally reasonable prices my dreams were able to come to life.
