I love this store. Privately owned and family orientated. What I wanted to share with you on this. Experience is the floural department at the Palm Desert location. They have a delivery department that is ran my Mary and if you haven't met Elaine well get your order in she's the one who brings the arrangements. Such a sweetheart. The perks don't stop there.
If you are looking for some custome designs then look no further. Miguel in the flower shop has you covered. Here are a few snaps if his work and they are gorg. So if you are looking for that christmas piece, something eye popping, or even just a center piece stop by. Miguel and Jeremy has you covered. Warning Miguel is not available on Sundays and Wednesdays but any other day him or his assistant can help you out. They are a delightful pair. Mary has the flower shop available any day of the week. It might be worth your time.

Jensen's gets a bad rep for exorbitant prices, and it does have some. Some staples, cleaning supplies, paper products, etc., are competitively priced compared to its neighbors, Vons and Ralphs, but a 30oz Best Foods mayo is $7.49 vs Vons down the street which charges $4.99, a 50% mark up. For people who can afford the meat prices, they reflect the quality that you're getting.
Once a year or so, I'll buy the best steak I can, and this is the place to get it in the area. You'll pay almost as much as they'll charge at one of the finer restaurants, but if there's a higher quality meat department in the area, I'm not aware of it (except Costco, which often has Prime cuts if you don't mind buying a lot of meat at once). The prices for produce aren't that much more and in general are fresher, with as good or better of a selection as its neighbors. Prices for herbs are almost twice what you pay at Trader Joe's down the street, but you get more and they're fresher.
You're not always getting what you pay for, but most of the shoppers here aren't concerned about value for their dollars. There's some good by-products of the higher prices, like easy close parking, and short cashier lines.

I shop there when it is convenient because of the distance and especially when Stater Bros is super crowded on some weekends. Hey it is a super clean store with a fabulous meat and bakery section. The employees are super helpful and kind. They have a great wine and coffee selection too. But you pay the price for what you get although I saved money in the past with their weekly sales. This is the place to go for quality items for that special dinner you make for your friends.

This store is more dog friendly then dog park. Anyone can walk their dog around in the store anytime. Condolences to the seeing-eye dog programs & all the programs who work so hard to test puppies & then spend countless hours training them to perform tasks of daily living that allow the disabled to live independently in our community. YES Jensen's staff have the legal right to ask for certificates that dogs are certified Service Dogs & not Companion animals or pets. This compromises all the work that has been done to gain acceptance for real Service Dogs. Shame on Jensen's

Went to the deli in the back and ordered 2 sandwiches. The cheesesteak panini was too cold for a panini and the flavors were mediocre. The macaroni salad should not be called macaroni salad. it should be called olive salad because it tastes like nothing but pure olives. The sand which that saved this review was the Gamacho. A Nice hot sandwich full of flavors. Ham, bacon, cheese, avocado, ect. 4/5 stars for that sandwich. I'll be back, just not for the olive salad.

Love Jensen's. The meat counter is incredible, the deli really delicious, and the bakery sweet. Lots of freshly made foods there: breads, cookies, deli sandwiches and salads. They have fresh sushi. There's a beautiful florist Dept there too and I have seen some incredible arrangements leaving the store. The BBQ is usually fresh on the weekends in the summer. Jensen's houses the only Starbucks up here (maybe one in Big Bear?) and the line is usually out the door; your app won't work at this one so prepare to be patient.
The worker's at Jensen's are nice so if you're out of town, please be nice as they work very hard and it really is a beautiful store with the best produce, selection and location up here. It rivals a Gelson's or Whole Foods but adds mountain charm.

The management needs to refresh employee training. I've seen employees wear masks below their noses. I've seen employees wear sparkly MESH masks. I witnessed one of the mesh masks wearers pull down her mask to sneeze while stocking food (which I suppose isn't any different from keeping a mesh mask on so whatever). And then there is Harmonie? Hermoine?
The mean blond girl who walks right in front of you instead of waiting for you to pass. The girl who snaps "What?" in a rude tone when you ask where an item is. The girl who answers she isn't sure where an item and makes no attempt to help you. I like this store otherwise but between the sanitary issues and the rude employee, I'll be shopping at Stater Bros more often.

The customer service sucks. Bought some overpriced, crappy-made-in-China boots for my kids to play in the snow. Turns out they run way small. Brought them back within 15 minutes. The manager told me they don't take any exchanges due to COVID. Fine. Can I get a discount on the next pairs? No. We don't do that. Cool. Go find two bigger pairs.
Get to counter and the cashier asks me how I'm doing. I tell her pretty terrible and give her a brief review of the experience. She goes on to tell me that it says right on your receipt that all sales are final. I said oh awesome so right after you take my $60 then I can see that. That's helpful. Then this lady starts complaining, 'Well if you think you're having a bad day.' and proceeds to yarn about how many hours she's working and that it's busy non-stop and one cashier is home sick.
I said, 'Shit! Sounds like you're killing it. You're employed AND making overtime. That's bad ass. Lotta people would lOVE to be working right now and damn you're getting time and a half on top. Plus, busy makes the day fly by! Why don't you try smiling. Steal my money and then bitch at me. F you, Jensen's.

This review is solely based on the Deli section. After hiking all day I was looking forward to nice warm meal and I figured I'd get some Jensen's hot and ready. I picked out some skewers and orange chicken, and some last minute potato wedges. Upon reheating and biting into my skewers they had no flavor and two, had the cheweist chicken I have ever tried.
The orange chicken was also just as bad, and the breading was over done. Some last minute hope the wedges were as salty as biting into a cup of salt. Just a f****** disaster all across. I'm more upset that I spend more than 25$ on crappy food when I could have just gone to Santiago's Tacos.

This Jensens is a little more pricey than the near by stater bros or goodwins, however it does have a Starbucks, full floral area, bakery, and deli. It is the best place to get wine and seasonal gifts up here. I always come from the sandwiches at the deli, the gamacho is amazing for a warm sandwich, and for a cold sandwich the shalom is a great choice.

We used Jensen's (floral) this weekend for our son's wedding in Lake Arrowhead. Ruby was a total sweetheart, she worked with us and was very patient and accommodating. Everyone at the wedding loved the flowers, they made our outside wedding extra beautiful. Thank you so much Ruby for working with us :) oh and for decorating the cake also. Paty (Mother of the Groom)

True artistry is found at the onsite Bakery at Jensen's (cookies). The offerings are delectable bakery orchestrations which are palatable works of art. Coffee is Starbucks and on site (yeah!). Custom cakes may be ordered. Sampled a custom decorated cookie-at Jensen's. Presented "ideale" and chosen for "gift giving" in wax pink bag. In town celebs discovered (Hi David Vail) and lines are never long.
Remain appreciative of "selectionner" offerings thus far. Smiling faces, kind words and consideration keeps in town/out of town guests returning. Floral offerings are "einzigartig" and video/photo worthy.

This review is for the floral department. I have family in Lake Arrowhead and from time to time have Jensen's arrange some bouquets for delivery. I found out that some of the online services like FTD or TeleFlora (not completely sure) use them but calling them gets better flowers and service I think. The website has lots of options for delivery and all occasions.
I usually call in and talk to someone directly to go over options and whats fresh in stock at the time. They are really helpful and friendly over the phone. I can start from scratch or order from online items and they get a beautiful flower arrangement delivered fast. They have even do same day delivery. They are local in Blue Jay sot the deliveries are fast and they know the area.
I will continue to call in to get that personal service and I can follow up on the results if needed because there is an actual person there helping out. I am please with the flowers too.
