In business since 1983, is a cozy, neighborhood, family-run restaurant offering a beautiful all-wood paneled interior, outdoor patio and full-service catering and party center. We offer a full menu of truly homemade Italian meals from appetizers to entrees: steak, fish, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and vegetarian items. Open 7 days a week until late night in our lounge - lunch starts at 11:30 Monday through Saturday (bar 'til midnight) and Sunday 4:00 to 10:00. We also offer catering at your venue or for you to pick-up.

Our restaurant menu features an award winning Shrimp Salvatore and our lounge features 3 large TVs for watching the Tribe, Browns or Cavaliers. The lounge is warm and cozy and has one wall decorated with trophy mounts. If you are sitting on one of our 12 comfortable bar stools, you might notice 3 deer, a moose and a bear looking over your shoulder.
With mild Italian cherry peppers, bell peppers, and fresh garlic, served with marinara sauce. Crisp romaine tossed with our Caesar dressing, sprinkled with fresh grated Parmesan cheese and served with garlic toast points. Spinach, mushrooms, provolone cheese, bacon, tomato, hardboiled egg, and red onion served with warm sweet-n-sour dressing.
Rentals include: Tents, tables, chairs, china, etc. Party themes, decorations, and entertainment are just some of the services we provide. Let's us help plan your "special" event. Whether it is a backyard Graduation party, Office Block Picnic, Shower, Family Reunion, or a business Grand Opening, we do it all.
If you have any special requests such as: entertainment, decorations, audiovisual needs, special menus, table settings, etc., please feel free to inquire. The minimum required guest count is 40 adults. If your guest count is less than required you may take the additional dinners to go, or pay a facility fee of 12.00 per person under the minimum.

They use Lou's s sausage on their pizza and it's phenomenal. This is an old school kind of place in the bathroom is kind of small. It's not a gigantic venue so large parties will be difficult. However, they do have a private room in the back that you can rent. The salad that I got for side salad with blue cheese was fresh and crisp. Purple onions, tomatoes croutons cucumbers very good.
My daughter liked the french fries. They reminded me of the old Rally's fries. My wife had the buffalo chicken salad that was crisp and the buffalo sauce wasn't too hot. The server Amanda was on top of everything. As soon as my glass was empty it got refilled. We have been going to the woods for pizza for as long as I can remember ( at least thirty years) and it is a staple of the Rocky River area. Definitely some tasty food and a great atmosphere if you like a place with lots of wood on the walls. There are no games or fancy things.

Absolutely fantastic experience from beginning to end! The atmosphere is unbelievable and the service was exquisite. I ordered the rigatoni pasta with meat sauce and it came with bread and butter. The salad dressings are homemade and are to die for! There was plenty of parking in the back of the building and I already look forward to the next time I come in! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and want a special sit down Italian dinner!

First time coming here on date night with my husband and we loved it! We both ordered the steak and it was the best steak we have ever had. We waited maybe 10 minutes for a table and about 15-20 for our food. Excellent service and very friendly staff. I love the atmosphere. We already plan on going this weekend and next weekend.

This was our First time to this place, and definitely the last time. We were unpleasantly surprised with the food and service. Terrible and bad quality food. not authentic, just fake Italian food. Nothing tasted fresh, greasy and bland. Uncomfortable atmosphere. Very outdated decor. Rude owner and staff. Menu dated. Calamari appetizer was one of the worst i ever had, very oily and chewy. Kids hated lasagna and pasta.
The Mediterranean Chicken was disgusting. we were not happy with the service either because it was very slow even though the place was not crowded at all and when we asked for an extra plate the waitress looked angry and she almost threw the plate on the table. The lemon cake was The only thing that tasted good! I believe Good service and decent food deserve good tip, well I was not happy with any so i did not leave a tip, and here comes the best part: the owner followed us outside the restaurant to the car and demanded a tip!
I could not believe it. He almost harassed us while we were inside the car. I told him we were not happy with service or food, he got mad and rudely asked us not to come back! Really? this is just funny as we were not gonna come back anyways but why would you hurt your business and be rude to your customers?

I have memories coming to The Woods and Behind the woods since I was a kid. I'm so happy that they are still open. As an adult, I find myself going myself! The staff is always pleasant, kind, and respectful of Covid procedures and requests which I appreciate. The food is excellent. Personal favorites include the Buffalo chicken salad and the chicken Parmesan. Last but not least, the bread and garlic butter is amazing and our waitresses always honor our request for more. It's just so good!
