Nice place.nice bartenders but where is the staff other than catering and chef? I called to get information on the parking lot they own but I was disconnected and then given incorrect information. It was too cold to walk! I was told my party didn't pay for parking (they did). Totally would recommend the food though and the chef was very pleasent. Customer service means a lot though.
While my co-workers parked in a lot for free on a cold day, I had to go feed the meter. The lot didn't have much space left by the time I found out for me to switch too. It's a shared parking lot. I wouldn't recommend to someone who doesn't know the area it their staff is giving out inaccurate information. Misguiding people on a day of an eveny is worrisome to think about.

Had the best wedding here. Nina was amazing and did everything to make my day perfect. She was the perfect balance of professional and friendly. She saw our vision and they even made special changes to the meals like sauces to make sure we loved it. They made sure we had all we needed all day, refilling juices and napkins in the bridal suite all day. They coordinated with my flowers, DJ and bridal party to make everything so incredible. I 100% recommend.

My husband and I hired the Bond Ballroom for our wedding which was scheduled to take place in April 2020. Due to COVID, we rescheduled for September 2020. However, once it became closer to September it was evident that the Bond Ballroom would not be able to host our event as agreed upon in our contract because of the 25 person limit for indoors. We had already put down a $2,000 deposit and $10,000 payment for half of our guests.
We asked if we could get the $10,000 payment back since the Ballroom was unable to provide services as agreed upon. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional and refused to work with us for a refund or for other options on that day. We were extremely upset. This should be a happy time, and the Bond Ballroom made it even more stressful and difficult.
We were begging for options and finally got half of our payment back. We are still owed $5,000 for services never provided. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and the Consumer Protection Agency. The owner of the Bond Ballroom has since sent an email to mine and my husband's personal email addresses threatening us, saying he is going to sue for defamation if we do not apologize and take down our reviews within two hours.
We have not said anything that is not true. I want to be sure my review is seen so that someone else does not make the same mistake we did. That is no way to run a business. I would not recommend them to anyone, the owner is very rude and uncompassionate and has made this an absolute nightmare for us.

I can't believe the treatment my friend and her fiance got from the owner! They had booked and paid for a wedding to be held in April 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was rescheduled for September. When September came around, the restriction was still at 25 people. fine. My friend and her fiance had already paid for 60+ people and the ballroom REFUSED to work with the couple even though LESS THAN HALF of the guests would be accommodated.
The owner was incredibly rude and unprofessional to my friends and they ended up going with another venue. He has no right to keep money for providing literally nothing- no services, no products- yet that's exactly what he did. If you're looking into Bond Ballroom for an event, RUN THE OTHER WAY!

On March 6, 2019, we entered into a contract with Bond for our wedding reception, originally scheduled for April 18, 2020. Of course, COVID-19 changed everything, but Bond failed to render anything close to the services for which we originally contracted, forcing us to go to another vendor while Bond kept deposit funds to which it was not entitled.
As per the Contract, on March 6, 2019, we provided Bond with a $2,000 non-refundable deposit on December 18, 2019, we provided Bond with $10,000, 50% of the estimated cost of the event. As a result of COVID-19, we agreed to reschedule the Reception to September 11, 2020. However, as September 11, 2020 approached, it became clear that Bond could not substantially perform under the Contract and intended to enrich itself by keeping our entire $12,000 while not providing services worth anything close to that amount.
He returned $5000 but refused to return the other $5000 or even provide a credit for that amount. So basically he thought he was entitled to keep $7000 of our hard earned money for services he did not provide. We attempted to resolve this issue with Bond, who refused to renegotiate the terms of the contract or take any steps to accommodate the number of guests for which we had paid, forcing us to find another venue which could actually accommodate our guests.
Bond essentially made it impossible for us to have our reception and then forced us to cancel it so that they could keep nearly all of the 50% deposit. We tried our best to come to an agreement with Bond, but their inflexibility and desire to keep our deposit put a damper on what should have been a stress free and happy time. The owner was very rude and disrespectful and totally unwilling to talk to us.
He truly made it a nightmare for us and just kept our money for services he was unwilling to provide. He compared a wedding venue to an airline, stating that airlines were not giving refunds so why should he (which is not true because we received a full refund from our airline for our honeymoon). I would not recommend this venue.

Our wedding at the majestic Bond Ballroom was nothing short of the perfect wedding day for my husband and I. The venue exceeded our expectations at all points, including service, food, convenience and aesthetic. The classic, elegant, vintage (in all the right ways) ballroom itself was enough to sell us on hosting our reception there, and Nina and her team continued to impress us throughout the planning process and the wedding day itself with their flexibility, collaboration and organization.
The venue includes the ballroom itself, a gorgeous and comfortable bridal suite, an elegant cocktail room adjacent to a newly designed chapel, all within a hotel for the convenience of you and your guests. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite, which was more than enough space for all 8 ladies and I, moms and the salon between the suite itself and the mezzanine level above the beautiful ballroom.
Our cocktail hour in the cocktail room seamlessly transitioned into our reception in the ballroom. We even capped off the weekend with a day-after breakfast in the cocktail room, where Nina and her team had carefully arranged our centerpieces from the night before. We have heard consistent feedback from our guests, that we agree with wholeheartedly, that the food was amazing.
The chef created unbelievable plates for our guests, along with an array of amazing appetizers at cocktail hour, and delicious cake and desserts during the reception. The menu options and add-ons are diverse, allowing you to customize to your tastes and style. If you're looking for a classic, city-chic ballroom wedding venue with convenience, professionalism and a delicious menu, the Bond is for you!

We had my daughters wedding there last night. 110 guests, The food was terrible. All the filet mignonette were all well done, unable to even cut them steamed broccoli looked like wilted asparagus. They did not have hot water for tea. All the service people were temps. With no experience. Only Nina ( wonderful) Mike bartender and? Marie. Were professional event workers. And they tried very very hard. The Bridal room was under 60 degrees. Nina searched for 3 hours to find the girls a space heater. Thank you.

My grandmother was married at the Bond Ballroom, so after my fiance and I got engaged I was excited to visit the venue for our own wedding. I called on a Monday and spoke to Joe, who borderline rude and seemed to be in a rush to get off the phone, but we made an appointment for 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon. My mother and I both took off work for the afternoon and my sister drove three hours to join us for the appointment.
We parked in the hotel parking lot and were charged $6, even though the Ann Howard website says that parking is free, and went to the lobby where Joe said he would meet us. At 3:05 he hadn't arrived, so the receptionist called up to his office. No one answered. We thought he may have meant to meet him in the other lobby so we walked back and forth every few minutes to see if he was waiting in either lobby.
At 3:15, he still didn't show so I called up to his office. Still no answer. We waited 10 more minutes and finally left at 3:25. I still have not received a call nor email from him. We tried to show ourselves the ballroom, but the elevator requires a key to get to the 12th floor where it is located. I was disappointed to read some of the reviews about working with Joe on several websites, especially since I had my heart set on the Bond Ballroom. After this experience, I see that they were accurate. I am very angry and let down from my experience in dealing with Ann Howard Catering.

It's honestly not surprising this place only has 1 review. For a while I felt silly being a guest of a wedding and leaving a crummy review but I know if I were looking for a venue for my wedding I would want my guest to have the perfect time so here it is. I was a guest of a wedding at the Bond Ballroom last weekend and had a wonderful time (until the end) mostly due to the crowd, DJ and photo booth.
The ballroom is beautiful but Joe Howard who owns and runs this facility is not so much. He likes to bad mouth the guest ("completely inebriated") and when confronted with an issue he does not respond like someone who has been in this business for over "30 years". My issue was small and could've easily been handled with an apology. Which I never got.
During cocktail hour (on the lowest level) a coat rack was provided to the guests to hang their jackets. Once the reception began (top level) the coat rack was brought upstairs and that was the last time we saw our jacket. It was my boyfriends jacket.who had to leave that night to go plow (which Joe laughed about) jacket-less. After a 45 minute phone conversation with Joe on the Monday following (after leaving 3 voicemails with no call back and being hung up on) he still couldn't muster up the pride to apologize.
I was blown away by his unprofessional approach to a minor situation. I can only imagine how he would react to a more serious issue. Which I later talked to an ex bartender of his that said he never handled situations well. Lastly he told me it was given to a "completely inebriated guest" who insisted it was theirs. In the ballrooms defense there were no ticket numbers given but also no signage releasing their responsibility.
He never once asked what the jacket looked liked but said he looked for it.makes sense. After describing my boyfriends jacket we figured out it was not indeed the last jacket to be given away to the "completely inebriated guest" so when it was lost nobody knows. I would never chance a huge day of mine, where there's a possibility of minor issues occurring, in the hands of a man who can't even apologize.
Oh and he held a "birthday party" in the lowest level until 4 am with music blaring that kept guests of the hotel awake.the hotel refunded a lot of money to unhappy guests. And again, never apologized for that. He made me feel as if I was lying and making these issues up. I will never let any of my friends/family/strangers I hear talking about their wedding plans, consider this place, solely because of Joe and his unprofessionalism. Sorry for such a long review. Happy Planning!

The Bond Ballroom was such a great place to have our wedding. Joe Howard came out to work with me and my husband personally. He helped us figure out all the details and his team coordinated everything with all the vendors. There were many food options to choose from and everything was exceptional. It truly was a magical day from the weather, to having the Bond Ballroom as our venue.
Being a ballroom on-top of the Homewood Suites hotel made for breathtaking views as the sun was setting. A perfect atmosphere for a wedding. We can't thank you enough. We highly recommend the Bond Ballroom in Hartford for a wedding or event.
