Affordable Affairs GOURMET* Catering is owned and operated by longtime restaurateur and chef David Tepper, of the award-winning Tep's Villa Roma family restaurants and catering services, located in New Jersey, South Lake Tahoe, and San Diego. David began his career in the restaurant and food industry when his father opened the first Tep's restaurant in Linden, New Jersey in 1963, followed by the 1975 South Lake Tahoe location. In 1981, David and his parents opened another Tep's Villa Roma in San Diego near Mission Bay.
FULLY CATERED - Full staff to take care of all clients' needs from set-up to clean-up, usually includes- china, silverware, linens, formal table setting, cake and toast services. Water goblets and champagne Flutes usually included in fully catered events. Staffing is customized to clients' needs and desires!

Working in San Diego is great and there are some fantastic venues. While these are some of our favorites we have catered in new offices for corporate openings, homes for birthday parties, residences for weddings and holiday parties as well as many other locations for events. This is THE BEST and most affordable catering you can hire in San Diego. My husband and I went to various bridal events and did individual tastings will all our top caters, and Affordable Affairs had no competition. David worked with us to make the perfect menu that our guests STILL talk about. He has a way of customer service, communication, and execution that is beyond anything we saw elsewhere.
We are SO happy we hired him for our wedding catering, and we could not recommend him and his staff more! For any foodie looking for a caterer, Affordable Affairs is by far the best option!

I had been searching for a catering service for my father's Celebration of Life, and asked our venue, the Bernardo Heights Community Center if they knew of one or had any good recommendations. I was handed a card for Affordable Affairs Catering and told to call David. They let me know that he had just done a fantastic job for their company Christmas party and was highly recommended.
I called him and got a response in a timely manner. After a brief discussion, he sent his recommended menu and an estimate. We liked the menu he suggested, but did ask for a few changes. David was very accommodating and easy to work with. His prices seemed fair and reasonable. Everything went well and his food and service were outstanding just as the Community center had said!

I attended my sister's wedding last week at Coronado Community Center, The wedding was Catered by Affordable Affairs Catering. The food was incredible and the service was just as good! We had the Goodfellas Chicken Scampi, it was juicy and tender. Everyone enjoyed the food. I highly recommend Affordable Affairs Catering and I appreciate David and his staff for making my sister's wedding day a huge success!
