P & M Fine Food Delicatessen

Have been here three times. First experience was fine. Second experience, we put our order in online and when we got our food, our entire order was made wrong. Decided to give them another chance last night. Called ahead to order and the lady said ~15 minutes. I arrive and am waiting a long time. It is now 40 minutes since I've placed the order and have seen multiple people walk in and order and get their food before me. The cashier finally checks and says "they didn't even start it yet." I left. I will not return to this place again.

Ordered the chicken salad. Chicken was like dried leather. Prices are outrageous, employees have attitudes. Never going back.

Since the owners are no longer there the place has gone downhill. Salads and desserts in the refrigerated section are expired. The employees making the sandwiches are inexperienced. The prices are too expensive for what you get.

Unsatisfied. This used to be such an awesome place for food. The slice I got was left in the oven too long when the kid heated it up and burnt the heck out of it. The steak and cheese sub I ordered was bland and lacked that usual punch of garlic my goodness. I can absolutely tell that Bruno and Mario aren't there as often as they used to be. Because under their supervision, food like this would never be served. Take some pride in your work. Serve food that YOU would want to eat. I'm sad cuz P&M has always been one of my favorites. I won't be back.

I guess the food is ok if you don't mind waiting 40 mins for a sandwich. The staff is too young and have zero communication skills. They aren't equipped for the business that comes through. SLOW SLOW SLOW

Just had lunch there will be my daughter and her friend excellent sandwiches. You know a lot of hot food they're ready to serve.

Food is very good. Staff is super friendly. You can sit outside or inside if you choose. However there's only two tables inside. This is one of my quick grab a bite to eat places in town and love bringing my wife and kids because they treat us like family. I legit eat here a minimum of once a week.

Ordered trays. Very disappointed. Baked ziti was dry. No extra sauce was given to us. Baked chicken was very greasy and mostly drumsticks. Will not go there again.

Thick slimy turkey and brown lettuce. Definitely the worst sub I've had in the area. If you want a sub don't come here!

Went in to p&m deli today starving and craving their sausage and peppers. Paid a little extra but got a delicious packed sub. Couldn't be happier and I probably won't need to eat dinner. Thank you!

I've gone here several times over the years and was never disappointed until today. I ordered 1 bacon egg and cheese sandwich and 1 bacon and egg sandwich for my dad and I. When I got to my location, neither sandwich had bacon and the guy who I ordered from said they normally put two eggs on a sandwich. My dad's only had one. I called and politely asked for a refund.

The guy took my info, hung up, and called back a few minutes later. He said "Would you be able to come back tomorrow for the right order?" And I said "I can't, I live in NH and don't have time to stop again, I was visiting family but I'm going home. I would really just appreciate a refund." He said he'd call back. He didn't lol.

So I called back this afternoon and spoke to a girl who was very sweet, but told me that there's a sign that says "No refunds, only exchanges." I wasn't looking for it so I guess I didn't see it, but regardless if it's the staff's fault, I still won't get a refund and would need to take it up with the owner. Really? It was nearly $9 for two sandwiches that weren't made right and the owner is going to be that cheap to not give a refund for something that is not the customer's fault?

I understand working in the restaurant can be stressful and we're only human, mistakes happen. I would not have been mad if this was handled better, but it wasn't so unfortunately I will not be back.

It's a chilly and rainy day and I was in the mood for some soup. I called P&M and asked for a recommendation. The woman on the phone suggested pasta fagioli. P&M calls itself is an Italian deli and pasta fagioli should have been a solid choice. So I ordered some. When I opened up the container what I found was an atrocity: a mess of pasta and beans swimming in oil with no broth.

Nothing resembling soup at all. It was the worst "soup" I have ever seen. There were lots of different shapes of pasta which could have been great had there actually been some broth. See my pics attached. I think they speak for themselves. I am so disappointed and will never ever go back there. I could have made a whole pot of soup for the price I paid for this mess.

I love it here. This time I had a lemon chicken and delicious Brussels Sprouts. However the sprouts were prepared, please do it again!

Awesome subs. Pizza good too. Used them for my daughter's graduation party. Great prices along with great food. Will definitely use them again.

Ordered breakfast to go, which the staff messed up and were completely rude about it. No care or apologies. Lost my business.

I've had P&M a few times and their food is definitely good, but their service is inconsistent. I just ordered a tuna salad sandwich for lunch through GrubHub, and the description states the sandwich comes with lettuce and tomato. I requested that honey mustard be added to the sandwich, you know, for extra oomph. To my disappointment, I did not receive what I paid for.

I unwrapped my sandwich only to find a roll with some tuna slapped in between, no lettuce, tomato, or honey mustard in sight. Although the tuna is tasty, this sandwich really bummed me out.

Rude workers, food was disgusting. I got a calzone, I ended up opening it up to see inside of it. they added sauce INSIDE the calzone. This caused the cheese to be soggy the bread was soggy. The meal was oily. if you aren't an everyday customer you are treated like garbage. Would never go back. I know italian cooking and my family would never sell this type of food!

Love me some P&M! My go to is the chicken sandrella, which is chicken cutlet and broccoli rabe. Ask for some balsamic on it too. Two of my favorite foods in a sandwich! I also love the chicken manfro panini and the chicken a la flag. Had chicken Parmesan sub recently and it was lackluster unfortunately so I'll stick with what I know and love. Happy to have P&M close by!

Chicken Flag a la P&M is the perfect sandwich on hard roll or foccacia and I just got a sandwich and drink for about $10 beat that! Forget subway! They have many drinks and pastries! I like the Italian rice ball & potato croquet also! Service is always fantastic! Their pizza is also superb!

It's a sub shop, but a little more, hence 4 stars. We got the #17 eggplant on focaccia with fresh mozz, a classic chicken cutlet with lettuce & cheese, a buffalo chicken wrap, and the case of goodies tempted us so we added a pepperoni mozz bread to go too. They do have outdoor tables setup during this pandemic, the behind the counter staff has no way of staying 6 feet apart as it is smallish inside, and I'd feel nervous to come right at lunch time, because the few people we did encounter at off peak hours did not care to stay socially distant while ordering. Our food was fantastic we brought it home and enjoyed it al fresco at our patio table. The bread was great reheated the next day.

I've been here only two times, both about 2yrs apart. Very nice staff & nice little quaint building. This last time I got the pizza. When I ordered I was not realizing how amazing of a deal it was. It was basically like buy one get one free compared to other places. Pizza wasn't top shelf pizza, but it was good quality. I'll probably next time get one of the pizzas with toppings, but I will definitely go in again. The New Haven area is challenging for pizza bc the mid level pizza places would be considered the best pizza in most areas outside of NY or CT.

Friendly staff and great food. Service is very quick and spot on. No complaints about this place. Love the chicken cutlets. The pastries are phenomenal. So much better than the New Haven location. Probably my favorite spot for lunch in Branford and thankfully it's very close to me!

I have not been here in roughly 10 years. I used to love this place. I have to say I left pretty disappointed. I had the chicken cutlet sub. First the sub was $9.75. Second the cutlers were thin and fried to the point the were almost impossible to bite through. Third it was the lightest sub I have had since going to subway. The bread was excellent the staff was friendly and the place was very clean.

Terrific paninis! #12 manfredo is incredible! Chicken, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, roasted red pepper w balsamic vinagrette on a ciabatta panini! Heaven!

Always had great sandwiches, breakfast, pizza, & desserts. I don't know what happened, we used to love this place over the years but the last time we came in I was nauseated to find the place so dirty & falling apart? Since seeing the stained floors, dirty screens, rusted vents I just can't stomach eating here anymore. All I kept thinking is imagine what it must look like in the back OUT of customers plain sight? Sorry P&M with all the business you do, you need to invest in some deep cleaning & remodeling now. Smh

8 dollers for this? This has to be the sorriest Italian combo I have ever seen, last time I get lunch from this place I'd be better of going to subway. If I wasn't already two towns away I'd bring this sorry looking thing back.

This review is mostly for my favorite sandwich and pretty much the only thing I order from here - "The Classic." It is eggplant Parm and a chicken cutlet topped with melted mozz on a hard roll or italian bread. My favorite! I have since moved away from CT & whenever I come home to visit I always grab one of these before heading to the airport to eat for dinner on my long plane ride back to CA.

It never disappoints : They have many other selections too which all look great - I recently got a chicken parm stuffed bread from them as well which was very good. Great spot for lunch or an easy meal.

Disappointing! Cheap and sooo not wo Had the chicken A la fu and it was not worth $8. Pretty disappointed. One very thin slice of chicken cutlet with a little cole slaw. It was like eating bread with cheese. At least put in a couple pieces of chicken cutlet and finish it off with more than a spoonful of cole slaw!

Had a combo bread. It was very good and had plenty of cheese. The only negative on the bread was there was no filling on the ends. Also as you got closer to the ends you got less filling. Some bakeries have mastered the art of filling the bread all the way to the end.
