The Regal Ballroom is beautiful, nice staff polite fun staff, amazing for any event. only thing I don't like is valet is no where to be found and your car keys is left unattended Outside in a unlocked valet postal desk. That's outside. Someone could've stolen anybody car with the keys that's unattended Valet parking is only a cross the street.

This was my 2nd time at the Regal. First time was way back in 2003 I think. The venue is beautiful. I attended a wedding and everything was top notch. Some areas were different, like the bar is in the back instead of up front but it didn't matter. The appetizers were so cute and delicious. There was a mini baked potatoes with sour cream and chives.

I don't care for sour cream but I ate that and it was superb. I should have gotten more. The main menu was great with salmon and stuffed chicken. And the staff was always around and never in the way. The bride and groom didn't look worried about anything. As a guest I was comfortable and satisfied. 5 stars well deserved. This venue is worth considering for any event in the Philly area. Brava!

I attended My Nieces wedding last night 3/26/22. I cannot say enough good things from the look of the foyer, common areas and ball room. The staff was friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was delicious we had a filet and chicken combo with rice and broccoli. Soup to nuts I would highly recommend.

The first time you meet Netty she becomes family! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very professional. Netty goes above and beyond and will make your dream come true. The time and the small details that you as a bride wouldn't think about, Netty has it covered. A simple Thank You could never be enough for someone as special as Netty! She'll always hold a special place in my heart. Everything exceeded my expectations!

My daughter's original wedding date was 3/21/2021. I remember the call that I received from my daughter when her wedding was canceled. She was devastated and so was I; however, we knew that this decision was mandated by the city of Philadelphia. We exercised patience and understanding. I am elated to say that my daughter and son chose a new date, September 5, 2021. Ms. Nettie. thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my baby's day so beautiful!

True to your word. you were with us the entire day. Everything was done with excellence! The food was delicious and plentiful. the staff served with precision, smiles, and genuine concern that every guest was accommodated. The venue was decorated beautifully. The bartender and bar was awesome! Guests can't stop talking about the marvelous time that they had. With 100% confidence I will recommend anyone to have their event at the Regal Ballroom!

The venue is well appointed with high ceiling and friendly staff. As a vendor, I found the space is easy to access, load and unload. The rooms are close enough that flipping the rooms would be easy. Everything is where it should be, I think folks that want to reinvent the wheel or make the space something that it's not would have a difficult time. Overall, the venue is great.

My son's wedding was held there on 6/5 and everything was perfect except for the Arroz con Gandules. Whoever made it didn't use the base for Puerto Rican food called Sofrito it has the consistency of a pesto made with 7 ingredients. Also the rice had too much of a tomatoe taste in which it doesn't suppose too. Otherwise the rest of the food was EXCELLENT. The Prime rib was awesome. Also the DJ was good.

The venue has since agreed to host our wedding ceremony (no reception) with the money we put down as a deposit.

This is my 2nd time here and it was still fabulous. The atmosphere for the wedding I attended was superb. Food was on point and so was the top shelf open bar! They had the best mashed potato bar I have ever experienced. Don't worry about the parking because they have that covered. If I ever have to hold an event, it will be there if possible.

I just attended a birthday party at the Regal Ballroom and I'll say the space is surely regal. Don't be fooled by the surrounding neighborhood the interior of this place is really nice minus some minor upkeep issues stains on some of the Chivari chair cushions and other small nuances. The food is what's expected for an event space that does its own catering, it's no Stephen Starr so you get the gist.

Now what I really did not like what the actual staff. I don't know if they've been properly trained in catering etiquette but there was no attempt to move around unseen or not to be bothersome to guests. I literally had to tell the one woman to say excuse me because she just cut through myself and someone else speaking and began clearing out items from our table.

The event must have been the last one for the evening before they closed so while our event was still going they began breaking down the decor and the tables. Now if I rent a space from let's say 6pm to 10pm you should not be breaking down the space until 10pm. The staff should be prepared to pay for another hour or so of breakdown at the end of the night. That's unprofessional. So for subpar food and bad service I'd personally find another venue for an event but maybe they have great deals so it's worth the hassle.

The hall is located in a shady area and it can easily be overlooked. However, inside, this place is very clean, affordable, and modern. They have street parking and valet parking. I was part of a bridal party and we stayed in the bridal suite. The cocktail hour was supposed to start at 4:30 but guests weren't allowed to go in until 4:50. The guests were complaining of waiting and being hungry.

I think it was unprofessional. To add to it, the suite had a pin code and when I asked security for the code, the employee typed it in and asked "shouldn't you know it". Obviously I don't know the code if none of the bridal party couldn't open the door. The bridal party was served pitchers of alcoholic drinks and the suite was very nice and clean.

The food was the best part because it was soooo good. I been to many halls and it's usually not seasoned enough and not good. The food at the Regal was excellent! I had the pot roast, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, salmon, and collard greens. I have no complaints of the food at all!

I'm the mother of the bride that you felt small enough to write a snide remark about. I felt compelled to write a review as well. As I previously held off my own encounter with you over the phone. First thing, as a witness you did NOT provide everything as promised. Secondly, you were extremely condensing and rude over the phone when I spoke to you about the situation, and quite frankly you were an absolute A-Hole, and that is putting it mildly.

You seem to be under the assumption because you've been in business for so many years, it gives you an excuse to be so rude and unprofessional. News flash, many businesses close after being in business for a very long time. Your business is NO exception to the rule. A piece of advice a wedding is one of the most precious and memorable times for any bride.

While somethings may not work out perfectly, you should learn to be more compassionate and understanding. But, instead you callously attack the bride, deny and not own up to your mistakes. I'd expect you to not agree and respond as I see you're accustomed to not accepting any responsibility. For that reason, I'd never recommend your business to anyone, and when asked I'll be certain to send them to a business that cares more about their customers than PLASTIC silverware on a table.

If you cannot handle negative reviews and learn from them then maybe it's time for you to find another line of work that doesn't involve public service. SHAME ON YOU!

Reviewed On 3/14/2018 Tanisha W Great place.had my wedding there.a little shaky in the beginning but day of was amazing.loved the food (although a few guest would disagree) overall a great place to have a wedding just make sure YOU are on top of things and to clarify when I stated things were shaky in the beginning. I mean in regards to the rehearsal not going as planned (because venue was informed of how we wanted the seats but were unable to do so for rehearsal and offered us day of the wedding rehearsal) and all the miscommunication from emails and in-person chats between the owner and Nitty with the PLASTIC forks and spoons being used.this is the validity in the prior review

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at Regal Ballroom on June 10, 2017. This venue far exceeded any of our expectations. We began our wedding venue journey with firing our prior venue because of their treatment of us. We began to feel jaded about the entire venue search. While speaking with a family member, they mentioned that they've attended several ceremonies at Regal Ballroom and that it was absolutely beautiful.

I immediately called the venue and was greeted by Netty, the venue coordinator. She was absolutely amazing. She was able to work with our budget, and genuinely cared about us and our wedding (which is very hard to find). The entire process was a breeze. Netty reached out to me often, was always willing to work with any ideas that I had, and was just overall a wonderful person.

She was even sick right before the wedding, but still managed to "rest up" just so that she could make it for the ceremony and reception. Overall, the wedding went without a hitch. My guest had a wonderful time, and the entire Regal Ballroom staff was fantastic. I would have every party at this venue. They are absolutely amazing and I'm just so blessed that my husband and I were able to enter our union with such a wonderful experience. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful hospitality Netty, Chris, Nicole, and the entire Regal Ballroom staff.

Wonderful, my daughter had her wedding reception at the Regal ball room 12/13 From the very beginning to the big day, everything was perfect. Chris the owner made us feel like we were his family. We were on a budget but our guests would never know that. Every thing was top drawer. Food was exceptional & I am very picky. I recently recommended the Regal to a friend.

I hate to recommend anything but felt very comfortable telling my friend about the Regal. My friends wedding was just as wonderful as my daughters. I will continue to give rave reveiws about the Regal ball room. After reading the negative reveiws that some people wrote it makes me wonder if they were at the same place. I guess you will always have those people that hate themselves so that reflects their views.

My husband and I had high hopes for this venue. We recently celebrated our wedding reception at The Regal Ballroom on 08/30/14. Leading up to our wedding day, the only emails I received from Chris, the owner, were payment due emails. No communication on regards to wedding planning or if we needed anything. Which gave a cold vibe but hey, it's business right?

I had a couple of friends who had their wedding at The Regal Ballroom weeks prior to mine and as girls do, we talk. They shared their experiences and costs. For the exact type of wedding (we had outside caterers) and number of guests, I was being charged thousands of dollars more. Talk about feeling ripped off. When I mentioned it the owner, he seemed heartless.

I knew there was a signed contract; at least throw in some perks to accommodate your obviously distressed client. After asking what he can do to ease my stress, he reluctantly says, "I can add an additional hour. Take it or leave it." Well damn, I already paid for the wedding. Guess I had to take it. Day of the wedding, not once were my husband and I greeted or checked on throughout the evening.

Not once. The owner, Chris, stayed in his office the entire night. There was a manager, Stacey, walking around but even she didn't check on us if there was anything we needed. They lack customer service and professionalism. All night I was getting complaints about the rude bartender. The bartender yelled at my guests for ordering shots. I get it, no shots for open bar.

On the rocks? Nope, not that either. Did he have to be an rude about it? Being a former bartender myself, this got me furious. What the heck am I paying for? Oh that's right, the venue space and open bar. Didn't know the venue came with rude staff members. The night was coming to an end, and still, no signs of Chris or management. So, my husband and I left, unsatisfied.

Believe me, we are the most easy going people. If it were anyone else, this wouldn't slide. The venue itself was decent. I just wouldn't choose to work with them in the future nor would I recommend them.

The hall was ok., but the staffs were very rude. He was drunk and yelled at our florist. Message to the staff: We paid for the ballroom: you didnot give it out for free. Stop being rude and unprofessional. I don't recommend this hall to anyone.

I have attended several events here and enjoyed every one! Also, I have been the photographer for many weddings and have only heard praise for the Regal. And the acoustics here are great. I'm glad that Chris pointed out that this had been a theatre. There must be more to Robert B's story. If I was him, I think I would decline any further invitations. As for the rest of us - ENJOY!

We had our wedding at the Regal Ballroom on 8/24/2013 and I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience there was. Chris (the owner) took a very hands-on approach to us and basically held our hands through every part of the process. If there was something that we needed that wasn't explicitly offered, he worked with us to make it happen at either no additional cost or at his own cost.

We had our own personal event planner (Mindy) who was absolutely amazing. I really wish I could fit the entirety of our experience here but I really don't have the words for how great this venue and its staff are. We had a great time and all of our guests said it was one of the best weddings that they'd been to in ages.

I went to a wedding today. My Dad is a strict vegan. It was a buffet dinner and I looked and saw there wasn't anything for my Dad to eat. So I asked one of the staff if there was anything they could do? They brought out a pasta dish with veggies mixed in a garlic like sauce. It was really good! I was really happy they were able to accomadate him so quickyly! The outside of the venue is not much to look at but the inside is really beautiful! I would recommend this to a friend for sure :

I have had the misfortune of having to come to this venue 4 or 5 times. What you know if you have a function here, that the food is cheap and the environment is ok. Here are some of the top moments of the work functions I have had here. Several years ago we had appetizers of cheese and fruit salad. The cheese had mold spots on some pieces. When informed the management had waiters go out and try to remove the bad ones, instead of removing the whole thing. Frozen pieces of fruit have been had on other occasions here.

My last meal this week, I had a piece of roast beef. It was like eating a beef bouliion cube. It was extremely over salted. The green beans with almonds, very bland and not enough seasoning. Roasted potatoes were also highly salted. I did not partake of the other options of chicken or crab cake. For dessert on this occasion we had choices of chocolate chip cookies, eclairs, brownies and bread pudding.

The cookies were slightly stale. Eclairs were good. Brownies were adequate. And the one thing I have liked here and will continue to like is the bread pudding. It is the one saving grace of the establishment. The parking is limited to street parking in the area. Why do they have valet parking? They do not have a lot to park at, so you tip someone to park it on the street?

They have coat check. Bathrooms are ok, but slightly old looking and dirty. Environments accoustics are horrid if you have music played. No one will hear anything. They do have a wet bar that people can pay for drinks with. Strongly made drinks, I guess to hide the food qaulity. And since I have been here a few times and seen the menu, it has not changed in many years.
