Through hard work, long nights, and countless pans of mashed potatoes, our founder Ed Lowe successfully reimagined the meals his mom used to make to create a familiar place for family and friends to gather. Ed's relationship with local farmers and dedication to simple fresh food led him on a journey to procuring the best possible products available.
Many years later the idea of farm-to-table has become a highly sought out dining experience. Celebration's mission has always been to serve good food to good people in a comfortable atmosphere at an affordable price.

Welcome to Celebration, Dallas' original farm-to-table restaurant, located on West Lovers Lane between Inwood and Lemmon. In March of 1971 we built a restaurant out of real stone, wood, and copper where we could serve good food to good people. It worked - you came and came again. Over the years, we have added to the original restaurant two old houses, a full-service bar, and a wonderful patio, complete with a stone fireplace and fountain.
Pictured is Ed Lowe in front of the leather shop with his truck. In this truck, he would drive to the Farmers Market on the weekends to pick up local products. As a way to thank our customers, Ed had the idea to begin offering an anniversary special each year in March. This includes roll back pricing to the original entrees.
Our commitment to you has always been quality food served by a friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Unlike most restaurants, everything we serve is made from scratch daily. Our menu varies from day to day because we select products that are in season at the peak of their freshness. If you have any questions about anything that we serve, or have any special dietary needs, please don't hesitate to ask.
Entrees include homemade breads, three fresh vegetables served family-style, and your choice of homemade soup, fresh garden salad, or fresh fruit. Seconds are available on most entrees at $3.95 per full portion. Only one serving may be ordered at a time. Lightly seasoned filet broiled in butter and served with or without amandine brown butter.

Flavor: A Service: A Tea: A Solo dining: A The homemade assortment of bread will wow you from the beginning - and you're only getting started. Then there's delicious homemade salad dressing. And perfectly fried okra. And surprisingly great ham and Lima beans. But the star of the show for me was the chicken fried steak with jalapeno cream gravy. The steak was tender, juicy, not gristly or greasy, and flavorful.
Someone really knows what they're doing there (although I wish the batter stuck to the meat a little better). The jalapeno cream gravy, though, really sealed the deal with its unique but not-too-spicy flavor. If only I had room for dessert, I would've wanted to try that too. This place is definitely going on my must-visit list when I'm in Dallas.

Had a great dinner here last night. Everything was great! My wife really liked the fried chicken dinner and I enjoyed the chicken St Caroline. The rolls in the bread basket were delicious and were piping hot. The ranch dressing was above average. I liked that we were able to choose three sides. I thought the mashed potatoes were a bit runny, but they were tasty.
I liked the squash, but my favorite side was the collard greens. Service was awesome here. I think this place is a really good value considering the quality and quantity of food they serve.

(It really bothers me to leave a "3" rating, I think I'll change to a 4. ) I picked up an order this past Wednesday night on time, hot and fresh and delicious. I ordered the roast beef, sauteed squash, mashed potatoes and fried okra, along with a fruit cup. My only complaint, one that irritates me, is that I put a few special requests (or however they word this), that were simple, yet obviously ignored.
I only wanted cornbread, asking the chef to not include all of the delicious breads that Celebration prepares; but I only received 1 piece of cornbread (boy, is it yummy) and 2-3 other breads. I also asked for a side of brown gravy for my potatoes, that was not included in my pick-up order. Lastly, I was not given the horseradish sauce that comes with the Roast Beef. Are these minor? Yes, oh yes! Does it matter? Yes, to me it does matter when I'm ignored.
Celebration is one (of few, in my opinion) that is consistently delicious with typically good service (most of the time) and that is why I frequent their establishment and always recommend them when asked for a good dinner suggestion, ALWAYS! As I have stated before, if you have never tried Celebration or their sister store (Celebration To-Go, next door), you are missing out on some good food!

To say the least, Celebration has been consistent in service and in food preparation but not today. The portion on the pot roast was super stingy, the mashed potatoes were watery and the squash medley was over cooked. The service was slow and didn't get what I ordered and was still charged for it. Now, this is petty I know. But it's difficult to keep an appetite when your server has a nose piercing. Not coming back. For a while.

I love the farm to table concept. The private rooms were nice. The food was delicious. We ordered the walnut crusted chicken, grilled catfish. Jerk chicken (it was the size of a deck of cards.), and the fried catfish The vegetables were family style. We enjoyed the mashed potatoes, okra, and brocolli. The squash not so much. It was a bit dry. The fresh bread basket had a wonderful assortment.
The banana pudding was a light colored extremely thick custard with a third of a banana sliced, four homemade cookies, and whipped cream. The cookies were delicious. This was not traditional homemade banana pudding so I'm taking a star for that!

Really Good experience! Good selection of meals with a great atmosphere for bringing a family out for dinner. Private room has an option definitely a huge help with covid. The fact that many of the meals and sides come with the option to get seconds makes this not only a great value but the food quality is excellent. The store next door selling meals to take home also is really cool.

Our group reserved a room for a party. Half of the guests did not come. 14 did come. The food is tasty and served family style. A main course and several side dishes. They do add a 20% gratuity to the check for large groups. We were collecting stuffed animals for the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Thus the photo.

The first thing you need to know about Celebration is it's family style. That means the cooking is going to be what you grew up with or what you wanted to grow up with anyway. I knew walking in that the food would bring back memories and the staff's friendliness definitely helped recreate that "home" feeling. If you're going to eat at Celebration bring a few other people, that's the experience they're going for.

We talk about our experience at Celebration all the time even though our trip to Dallas was over a year ago. So, I looked back and realized we never reviewed it. What I do remember is that the food, service and price was phenomenal. You don't typically get all three. If you are in the Dallas area, this place won't disappoint. We hope to go back as soon as we do our next trip.

Disappointed, we had a celebration there I ordered the salmon, spinach, potatoes, broccoli the salmon was nasty didn't taste cooked although. Brought it to the waiters attention the salmon was removed however I had to pay for a veggie plate! I won't be back their customer services wasn't what I expected nor the food worth it.

Nice place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Uncommon menu where you order you meat dish and pick from sides. Sides are unlimited. If you want, you can get additional meats at no additional costs but No take outs allowed. Nice friendly service. Clean place. Easy parking for ppl w accessible needs. Well lit parking lot. Recommend but be careful about overeating! :

Will NEVER go to this place again. Food was horrible! My husband and I both disliked our meals. Additionally the lead wait person was so rude to me and to our waiter. The only thing that was delightful was our waiter Eli. Would NOT recommend this restaurant. Wouldn't have even given 1 star but you have to leave at least 1.

First restaurant I've ever eaten in Dallas just after touching down, and I believe Celebration exemplifies that beautiful southern charm. The atmosphere and service is simple, pleasant, and calm. Now I don't know if it was the day and hour I ate there but I noticed a lot of seniors. Nothing wrong with that - just pointing out the observed clientele.
I figured go straight for a true southern staple so I ordered the grass-fed meatloaf and it was very good. I'm a sauce guy, so when I was tossing between the white wine mushroom sauce and tomato sauce with cheese and scallions the server said they could do 50/50. That's amazing. That being said, I now know I would stick with classic tomato.
The mushroom sauce was good, but white wine didn't really mix with meatloaf. And then to be able to add THREE sides (Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the straight from your hands fried okra!) and all for $12?!?! But as God as my witness.the bread! And that's all I'm gonna say about that. Only thing I found myself doing was adding salt to everything.
It wasn't bland, just not enough salt. But I'll take not enough where I can personally fix that to my liking over too much and there's nothing I can do about it. I certainly do want to go back for some catfish and chicken fried steak. And the okra. And the bread!

It's been a few years since I've been to Celebration, as I live an hour away. However, today, my friends and I decided to make the trek. Hallelujah! We're so glad that we did! As always, the ingredients are really, really fresh, the food is so flavorful and the service is excellent. I was so glad to see that my favorite items were still on the menu. We already have a date set to go back in 2 weeks!

Celebration is a nice restaurant with cute alcoves for more private group settings. The salad and vegetables are served family style. The fried okra was delicious, the mash potatoes buttery, and the broccoli crunchy. All our friends agreed that the main courses were well seasoned and very flavorful. There was a bit of toughness to the chicken, but only in the center of the cut. Our waitress started off really strong but was quite absent halfway through. Overall, we were pleased with our dining experience.
