Janet and her team at La tea da's did a fantastic job on my wedding catering! A number of people told me it was the best food they had had at a wedding, and I couldn't agree more! The Paella and Mac and cheese were my favorite, but everything was delicious. The entire process was easy, and Janet was extremely attentive to my questions, and handled everything to do with staffing, food, linens and dishes. Thanks for making my wedding fantastic!

La-tea-da's went above and beyond for my wedding! Janet made the planning a breeze, she was very organized and made my vision come to life. Food, drinks, and service were a top priority for my wedding and La-tea-da's more than succeeded! The food was some of the best I have ever had- we are still receiving complements from our guests! All of the small touches and details did not go unnoticed.

We had La-te-da cater the dinner for our 55th Reunion at Queens. Everything about it was PERFECT. The food was just sensational and working with Valerie, our contact, was just wonderful. She was so helpful and responsive. The response from the attendees was just wonderful. And to top it off, the two staff members that brought the food and set it up and stayed with us for the event were so professional and helpful. I would never even consider using another caterer in Charlotte after this experience with La-tea-da.

La-tea-da's did an amazing job with my sister's bridal shower. From menu planning and coordination with the rental company to day-of services, there wasn't a single issue. The food was amazing, the guests were so complimentary, and Esme and Tanner did a wonderful job of being attentive to needs without being invasive. I would very much recommend working with this lovely team of people for any size event or occasion.

I can not say enough good things about LaTeaDas! From the delicious food to the amazing service and beautiful displays, they were absolute perfection in every way! La-Tea-Da's did a wonderful job catering our event, the food was fantastic. Throughout the process Traci was very responsive and helpful with our questions and contracts changes. After we had our tasting, we then made the change from buffet to plated options, Traci helped us stay in budget and figure out the best options.

La-tea-da's Catering catered a bridal shower for me last weekend. They made it so easy. Everything was done via email. Valerie was the best, sent me ideas and worked with me with whatever I wanted to do. She gave me some pointers on how to raise some of the platters. She always responded in a timely manner. The food arrived an hour before the event and the driver was very polite and most helpful.

He wore a mask. He set everything out on the table and set up the chafing dishes. I knew he had another delivery to make so he didn't waste any time, however he didn't rush out. He made sure we had everything in place before he left. The food was outstanding! The guests couldn't stop raving about how good it was and the presentation was beautiful.

So elegant. Look at the hummus/pimento cheese platter and the meats/cheeses platter! I also liked how they included to-go boxes--so did my guests! Nothing was wasted. I hired this company not knowing what their food was like and trusted other reviewers. They exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend them!

La-tea-da's Catering were excellent to work with. They catered a bridal shower for me and everything went smoothly. All contact was by email. Valerie suggested the menu and all the food was just delicious. We had a variety of foods too. I received so many compliments on the beautiful spread on the table plus how great the food tasted. The driver who delivered the food was very helpful and set everything up for me.

I knew he had another delivery to make but he was patient. He made sure I had everything ready to go before he left. Nothing was left out. They even provided to-go containers and my guests were very happy to take food home. It was lovely and my experience with this company was great. I will use them again when needed.

Bridal Shower Perfection! La Tea Da's was amazing to work with from planning to set up and throughout the event. The food was absolutely awesome! The displays were beautiful! And the staff was more than we could have hoped for, so professional and personable, they made the day even better! I cannot say enough good things or give enough praise and thanks! La-Tea-Da's catered our wedding in July. The food was delicious and they had many options to choose from. La-tea-da's was very responsive, helpful, and accommodating to all of our needs! They took many safety precautions and listened to all of our concerns and needs during the pandemic!

March 2020 For anyone needing a full service caterer, look no further! I wanted to surprise my wife for a special occasion and host a small intimate dinner party in our home for family and friends. I called La-Tea-da's and spoke to Valerie who from our first phone call guided me through developing a four course meal that was extraordinary. The team that joined us at the house to prepare and serve were top notch.

The result was that all our guests raved about the service and food. The care shown for our home and the clean up left me nothing to do the next day but reflect on a great event. Again, look no further David

When I described my vision was for my 50th birthday party this past November (2019), the Levine Museum's Event manager, Brittany Brathwaite, recommended La-Tea-Da's Catering for the food. From her perspective, Janet and her team, would be able to deliver an upscale presentation as well as tasty food at an affordable price. She was right! La-Tea-Da's is outstanding.

I wanted Southern Style Good Luck Food with a twist for my New Year's Eve themed birthday bash and La-Tea-Da's offered great ideas. First, guests were met with a wonderful mini chicken and waffle appetizer as passed hors d'oeuvres. There was an eye-catching fresh fruit and cheese display set up as well. Since my entrance wasn't going to be until after the cocktail hour, Janet sent a sample plate of appetizers to my room along with the signature New Year's Eve drink she came up with (Sparkling Pomegranate Lemonade and Garnish - nice touch!).

The main entree was set up as a buffet, where the La-Tea-Da's team served perfectly seasoned collard greens, Charleston Shrimp & Grits in individual petite cast-iron skillets, cornbread muffins, peas and rice and turkey meatballs. The guests loved it! My party was more than a month ago and folks are still raving about the food. Truth be told, I was even more impressed with the service. Janet and her team did everything they promised and more, including helping me locate my guest book and setting it up before my arrival. The staff was well-dressed and friendly. I was lucky to be their customer and look forward to using them again. God bless them.

Just used La-tea-da's Catering for a special corporate event of 100+ guests. Could not have been more pleased. Janet and her team were absolutely phenomenal. From planning to execution, Janet and every single member of her team were a pleasure to work with. Janet is undeniably an authority in the industry. Everyone at the event including myself raved about the food and the service.

There was not a single dish that was not praised on. We were most impressed. Every detail was tended to with great care and personal attention. Janet and her team allowed me complete peace of mind at a time I was juggling various responsibilities. I am most grateful. Thank you Janet and your team!

La-tea-da is very easy to work with. You are able to customize your event as you please, (we added late night pizza service to our wedding). Their tastings allow the opportunity to sample their cuisine while mingling with other brides and grooms. We had several children at our wedding, and we were able to get them macaroni & cheese and chicken tenders.

They also catered a brunch hosted by my husband's aunt and uncle the next morning. The buffet was exquisite with tasty bacon, waffle bar, pastries, among other goodies. My only complaint is that the surf and turf at our wedding was the most popular dish and we found out a lot of the steak was very rare. Some people were OK with it but a lot of others preferred their steak to be cooked more.

My wife and I got married back in 2007 and were lucky enough to hire Janet and her team with La-Tea-Da's. They helped us put an amazing event that we warmly look back on today. I am writing this now because we still stay in contact with Janet to this day. Just yesterday for Valentines Day I wanted to do something special for the family. One of my wives favor things was the chicken cordon blue appetizers from our wedding. Thankful I was able to order a few dozen and surprise everyone. It was a hit to no surprise. If you are looking for someone to help you out for your event the only way to go wrong is to not call La-Tea-Da's

Our guests are STILL raving about the food at our August wedding. One of the most important parts of the wedding for us was the food--and Janet and her team truly brought their A-game! We've been to our fair share of weddings with they typical dry protein, vegetable, and a starch plates. We wanted none of that. Janet was able to take our vision of an upscale tasty home-cooked southern theme and turn it into everything we asked for and more.

With 100ish guests, we had passed hors d'oeuvres and 3-4 plating stations (plus my personal request for ice cream) all presented in such a beautiful and creative way and on budget. It's all about the details with La-tea-da's. And even our pickiest eaters were impressed with the quality of the food and service. We changed our menu items a few times and Janet was always so flexible and easy-going about every little change, and offered great suggestions for us along the way.

She even packed us a huge doggy bag after the wedding--such a nice touch since you're usually running around greeting guests and barely eating on your own wedding day. We would 100% recommend La-tea-da's again and again! The best in Charlotte!

La-Tea-Da's (Sam and Emily) did an awesome job catering our wedding. We had a casual event at a local brewery and they really worked with us to develop a beer oriented menu. Can't recommend them enough!

I have had excellent experience with this caterer. The menu selections were perfect, delivery was on time, the food was hot and tasted wonderful. You have lots to choose from and Ms Woodson was very helpful in making my final choices. These folks take your event to a more polished refined level. I've used them twice and wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

Called about placing a pick up order for a smallish shower that I am hosting. First I was told that I had to order for 20 people minimum. I explained that I wanted to order off of the a la carte menu, and would in deed be ordering enough food. The lady I spoke with(don't remember her name) hesitantly let me continue. I then asked if there was any way to pick up my order on the Saturday of the event, because I would be driving 3 hours in the night before and would not make it by closing.

Right off the bat she said "no." I then asked if it was at all possible and would be willing to pick it up at any time that works for them. After a brief hold, she came back and said "no." No reasoning, just "no." Will definitely be taking all of my business elsewhere and will never recommend based on customer service alone.

The food was absolutely delicious! But the service was even better. Hats off to Debbie! Service with a smile and great conversation.

While searching for wedding catering I came across La-Tea-Da's and loved their menu selection and presentation. However getting a quote and information from them was beyond frustrating! I submitted a request online, a week went by and I heard nothing. I called to follow up and she said she did receive my online request and would work on getting it to me within the week.

After a week passed and I still did not hear anything I emailed them to follow up and they said they would get me the information by the close of business day. Another few days went by and after still not receiving information I called to let them know. The lady on the phone told me that Elizabeth was "very busy and had a lot on her plate". I let her know that if they can't be trusted to give me a quote they couldnt be trusted to be my wedding caterers.

La-Tea-Da came to cater our neighbor's party which I attended. It was absolutely amazing! It seems like they do a lot of events for the party planner (our neighbor's son) so I believe they were expecting nothing less than awesome. Their food, I thought was very cute. They served mini burgers, chips, meat balls, pork, vegetables on sticks, rice, and dessert (which I thought was the best).

The service was amazing, very courteous and nice, getting all the guests what they needed and happy. The dessert was a sort of a strawberry cake mixed with strawberry topped off with whip cream. I thought it was amazing. In the end, I believe all the guests had a wonderful time. The food was part of it and well the alcohol was another! I would definitely think of this catering if I ever need them in the Charlotte Area.

La-Tea-Da's just catered an early Thanksgiving Day luncheon at our office. They did a wonderful job with everything. For starters, they had an assortment of small biscuit sandwiches that looked like mini-ham sandwiches. Since I don't partake in pork, I skipped those and headed straight for the good stuff. The buffet included sauteed green beans with carrots (fresh of course, not canned or frozen), broccoli & cheese casserole (delightful -no condensed cream of mushroom soup in that casserole!), whipped potatoes with turkey gravy on the side, turkey, cranberry sauce (they had 2 - one with actual cranberries, and one of the icky congealed canned stuff), and a large assortment of breads and rolls.

They also brought sweet tea, unsweet tea, and bottled water. They also prepared an entire table of desserts which included pecan pie, tiramsu, pumpkin pie, assorted brownies, cheesecake pops, and a few other things. Again, everything was delish but I guess we'll all be wearing our fat pants to work tomorrow! (Seriously, we eat WAYYYY too much at our office - they need to install treadmills & elipitical machines in a breakroom or conference room!) Since I didn't plan the event, I can't say how easy they were to deal with, but I asked the person in charge of planning and she said they were great.

I did go online and check their website, and the prices I saw for corporate events were very reasonable. All in all, I would definitely recommend La-Tea-Da's for catering.

I had a birthday party here about 5 years ago and I brought about 9 of my closest friends and we dressed up in ballgowns with fancy jewelry and took pictures, then I got this super delicious vanilla cake with pink flowers on it. Of all of my birthday parties, this one wins hands-down. I know little about their food-but their cakes are pretty amazing! Adorable little place to have a party or sit down and drink some tea.kind of like a fairytale cafe. La-Tea-Da's is the coolest party place for girls in town.

La-Tea-Das is very cute and lots of fun. It's definitely for girls. I can't imagine going with my man, or really with any man. There hours are kind of limited and the menu isn't so elaborate, but the place is worth it for the ambience alone. The tea selection is excellent, and I'm kind of a tea geek. I agree with Lindsey R. that it's not a place to go necessarily for the food.it's more for snacks and tea and chatting with friends in a fabulous atmosphere. I'm glad we have little places like this one. It's a rare and wonderful find.

This is the cutest little place. You instantly feel like a true lady or gentleman when walking into this place. They have all kind of gourmet salads and sandwiches to go with your afternoon tea. They also have a variety of wines to have with dinner or you can take a bottle home. They cater and do private parties, so whatever it is they have you covered.
