Pleasantly surprised by this place. Wasn't expecting much since the prices were pretty low, especially compared to C&B right across from them. We ordered a large side of Mac & Cheese, a small side of Red Rice. It was so good we went back for a sandwich. We spent about $11 for our whole meal. The Red Rice was so good! It had just the right amount of flavor with the sausage & onion and just the right amount of "mushy".
I prefer my rice just a little on the softer side. The small size is pretty small but they packed the rice in so its more than it looks. The Mac & Cheese was a little greasy but was still delicious. I'm pretty sure they use more than one kind of cheese. That was also packed in the container so it was more than it looked. The best was the Beef Brisket Sandwich.
Ask them for a sample before ordering. The pieces are thick, not thinly sliced. The sauce they use is a tomato based sauce so it isn't as thick as a BBQ sauce but that was fine by me. They offered to add more sauce to our sandwich and we opted for that. All that was included in the sandwich was the brisket, very purist. I loved it. There's a little sitting area on the other side of the glass doors.
