We ate at Ocean Prime in Indianapolis on New Year's Eve and the food was not worth the price. I had a small filet steak and it was overcooked and not warm. The lobster tail was cool temperature and a bit mushy. We tried to use our bonus gift card and was told it was only good in January. No where on the email gift card did it say that. Very disappointed with food preparation and the inability to use our bonus gift card. For the money, there are much better places to dine out and have great food and great service.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday and he wanted to go to Hudson 29. I was skeptical when I realized it was a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. We have been to several different Cameron Mitchell restaurants and it's highly overrated. As a foodie I don't mind spending money for quality food but their food is slightly above average at best. My salad was drowning in dressing; the sushi was not great and the worst was getting the olive oil cake with fruit and the kitchen didn't even take the peel off the orange.
Our server was nice but kept referring to our daughter as "him" instead of being gender neutral. We arrived at 530 and were there over 2 hours. And the worst for me was that the restaurant was not very clean. Our table side lamp was dirty and the lamp shade was stained. The overhead lights had dead bugs and honestly, restaurants should steer clear of carpet for obvious sanitary reasons. Another disappointed experience at another Cameron Mitchell restaurant.

We got a Cameron Mitchell gift card just for our anniversary night. I asked a friend which restaurant he recommended and he told me The Pearl Dublin. I asked for the salad with seafood in it and I get a salad with just fruit. I had started eating it before I realized that wasn't what I ordered. I then ordered the harbor steak medium well and it comes out completely cooked and charred black. Managers came to see us but this had already ruined my anniversary experience.
My Hubby was trying to help me calm down before I started crying. They offered to remake my meal, but I hadn't eaten all day in anticipation of a great meal so I ate what I could. They also offered us free dessert, but I just wanted to leave before I started bawling. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I posted about it on their page but no one ever responded.

It was a really bad day at Cap City diner in Dublin. We were seated by a hostess who couldn't find our reservation even though we had it on our phones. After 15-20 minutes and no one approached us to even get drink orders, my son got up and was met by Ken who said he noticed we had not been greeted and apologized. He offered us a free appetizer. We ordered 2 Bloody Mary's and a beer.
After 15 more minutes, the drinks came. The Bloody Mary's were absolutely awful. Something was either old or the bartender had no idea how to make a Bloody Mary. My son and daughter-in-law had just been there within the week and she said the Bloody Mary's were absolutely awesome. Obviously a different bartender. No one came to take our order, so my son approached the manager, not once but twice.
He finally showed up and offered to redo the Bloody Mary's. My daughter-in-law got another one, I got a beer, which I settled for. We asked the manager who our waiter or waitress would be and he said Ken could continue with us. After 45 minutes, we flagged down Ken and he said the manager just told him we were his table. Ken had 2 huge tables he was working and was as nice as he could be to us!
After an hour, we finally placed an order, an easy order. 20 minutes later we got that order. Food was great. 2 hours later we walk out of Cap City Diner, pretty unhappy with everything that had happened. It's not what we expect from a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. We so appreciated our server, Ken, who stepped up and we tipped him appropriately for that. As for the manager and the hostess, they were worthless!

I went to Ocean Prime in Sat Feb 13 2021. We made reservations 2 weeks prior. When we arrived the waitress gave each other a look and sat my wife and I to the side (not at the main dining area). When we sat down we noticed everyone in this area was of color. Coincidence? We asked a couple leaving and they said they also found it odd. Anyway we ate and drank and celebrated.
When it was time to pay we figure we use 3 Cameron Mitchell gift certificates we were gifted by a client. The waiter immediately bypassed his cash register and went to the manager. Now we called Cameron Mitchell and used their website to check the balance on all 3 cards. The manager came over and said he can not accept these and that they are beyond his pay grade as to why.
He returned and we paid with our CC. I once again checked the balance of the cards and the balance is still there. So now we have 3 gift cards that are completely worthless. I was embarrassed on V-Day and told that they may have been purchased on ebay. Disrespectful! Called corporate no return call.

I was expecting more, the calamari was great. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the meal. I ordered the hanger steak and the steak itself wasn't seasoned at all. The sauce was very rich and made well, but the steak couldn't stand by itself. I had substituted the potatoes that came with the meal for garlic mashed potatoes and they had no noticeable garlic flavor and were watered down. My date had the chicken and again it wasn't seasoned apart from the crusting. Presentation was good for everything but bland land.

I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I tried ordering a gift card for my mother-in-law and it was never sent to her. After 3 attempts to contact customer service and get it corrected, my mother-in-law still does not have her gift card. It was purchased on 11/15/2018 and her birthday was on 11/20. Veronica (in the gift card department) is the most rude, condescending person I have ever spoke to. We will never be visiting their establishments again.

Beautiful new offices of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. We are fortunate to have such an awesome company in our community. Their restaurants are unique, varied, and each fits the community they are in. And Cameron and his team all know what it means to be a great corporate citizen and give back to the community over and over.

If you enjoy the the experience of a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant then you will love having them cater your event. Cameron Mitchell comes to your home, wedding, or event with its own catering company. Once an off shoot of the restaurant giant it has done so well it now has its own division and offices. They offer small event services like boxed lunches and small buffets, and larger spreads for weddings or parties.
I have attended two events where Cam was the caterer and I could not be more impressed. The first event was a company party with a small plate sampling that could feed a small country. Sushi, roasted meat, kabobs, and recipes from the chain's restaurant almost outshone the speakers in conversation topics. My favorite part was the ice sculpture centerpiece that somehow never melted a drop.
The second event was a bar mitzva. The child we were celebrating had a love of Chipoltle. Cameron Mitchell Catering managed to recreate the building burrito station of Chipoltle and produce burritos that were possibly better than what you could get in stores. Right down to the tasty corn salsa and double meat the detail was there. They also offered a full bar with top shelf whiskey and vodka.
No Wild Turkey at this event, it was Makers and Chopin all the way. The servers at these events were on the same level as those in the restaurants. Meaning, you ask, you get it. Even if it means making a run to the grocery store for Grandma's favorite Zinfandel. The events are pricey, but the cost is made priceless by the service, quality and imagination in the food, and the full bar. Any event can be catered, but having it done by Cameron makes it special.
