Avalon Catering

We recently had Avalon cater our office holiday party. The attention and detail to how the food was presented was not only beautiful but the quality of the food was the icing on the cake. Everything we ordered was delicious! We will use Avalon Catering for all of our upcoming events. Ann was a pleasure to work with. Keep up the great work!

Ann and the Avalon team were wonderful in catering our wedding! We originally had planned for over 200 guests in May 2020, but rescheduled and changed venues 3 times due to COVID, and ended up with around 50 guests. Ann and her team were flexible, understanding, and so responsive. Our guests loved our food and bar service, and Avalon created a wonderful menu to honor my husband's Afro-Caribbean roots. We loved their food, staffing, and communication, and highly recommend choosing them for your events and weddings!

We had Kathy and team cater our 15th anniversary with close to 100 guests. Everything they did was great - food, staff, timing, communication - everything. We'll be using them again and would highly recommend.

I hired Avalon for the first time for a milestone bday party for 22 person sit down dinner with passed appetizers. What a treat! The staff was amazing and the food even better! Fried chicken bites with habernero honey glaze.ohh la la! It was such a treat to be served in my own house by a professional staff and bartender. I HIGHLY recommend Avalon catering!

Avalon is my consistent go to for years. The good quality and freshness of the food, options (including diet restrictions DF, NF, GF), and amount of food are always consistently amazing. The value is really pretty amazing too considering a lot of the ingredients are organic. We have used Avalon to cater large Christmas parties precovid for years. Avalon's staff were wonderful to work with.

They are friendly, neat, and make everything run smoothly. They presentation and extra decor add to the value and presentation. We will continue to support this wonderful caterer and feel they have become apart of our Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions.

I have used Avalon twice and Avalon Catering made both occasions perfect. Ann Beaman truly customizes your event to your budget and vision. The food is delicious -- the staff is well prepared and professional. I would never hesitate to use Avalon Catering for any event. Absolutely no complaints.

I highly recommend Avalon Catering! I chose Avalon Catering for my small summer wedding in June because, on-line they has already suggestions for menus. We did not have to choose salads, meats, etc. It was already done - we just made a few adjustments. On the wedding day, the staff was profesional, efficient, and friendly. The food was delicious! From buffet, to the wedding toast, to the cake cutting, and more - they were fantastic! Special thanks to Emily, who helped us plan, and Charles who headed up the crew on our big day!

The Avalon team absolutely killed it and we were very impressed with all of the food. I have only amazing things to say about my experience with Avalon. Honestly, I don't know if i've ever worked with such a buttoned up, professional, accommodating catering team. and the food was the cherry on top!

We have catered several events with them and we were very surprised at what happened with our last order with them. We had a small group coming over for a family dinner and decided that we would get their equivalent of a takeout. We ordered enough food for about 30 people but didn't feel we needed the servers, and picked up the food. We went to their main office, but apparently the pick up spot is several doors down.

When we couldn't find anyone at the main office we called their number, and no one answered. We were fortunate to drive around the strip mall and find where they had their delivery bay. Surprised they didn't let us know this. The entire experience was disappointing. First, you should know that if you have any problems with the order there's no one to call. You're pretty much on your own.

Second they didn't have the sauces in the order for three of the dishes. That was clearly a problem. The meats were rather dry and bland And overall the food was very disappointing. We realize they have recently lost their main chef and this may be causing them problems. But we were really surprised when we called them up to discuss what it happened with our order, and were told that they were understood that we had these problems and that they would like to bring us by some fresh baked cookies.

Given what we paid for the order, next time I'll go to Publix. We won't use them again, sometimes small caterers who were good to start out with end up getting a little bit ahead of themselves. They are very expensive and I think we will look around for the next best, innovative and interesting caterer. We will probably talk to their former chef.

I have only positive things to say about our experience with Avalon! They catered our daughter's wedding but they really did so much more. The food served at the buffet was delicious and plentiful, and was presented well. However, the food wasn't even the best part; the staff was amazing! The service they provided was professional while always presenting a positive and cooperative attitude. I am so happy that we made the choice to hire Avalon for this special event.

We used Cathy Conway and Avalon Catering for my daughter's wedding last weekend. They were outstanding! The food was delicious, the service impeccable, the presentation elegant. But, the true test was their performance when Hurricane Joaquin visited the weekend of the outdoor wedding. Our plans shifted, then shifted again. Cathy took it in stride, flipping the tent in record time, dealt with serving and clean up in grass that had turned to mud in places.

The Avalon staff was professional, efficient, and friendly. From the beginning of the process (menu selection, tailoring some items for gluten free guests, dealing with rentals of linens and tableware, coordinating with tent rental and decor providers, tastings, etc., etc.), Cathy and her crew were top notch. My daughter and her groom were overjoyed, the guests were happy and full (and mostly dry), and I was 100% impressed. Bravo, Cathy and Avalon. You were amazing. Thank you for making Jennifer's wedding a smashing success.

Avalon and Cathy specifically were a delight to work with from start to finish. She worked with us to create a special menu for our New Year's Eve Wedding Reception. The food was amazing. Guests wrote me after the event to tell me how good the food was! The presentation gorgeous and she worked with our decor. They took care of everything down to the little details that were important to me.with zero stress.

I could really trust her. I definitely recommend them! And their prices are very reasonable as well when everyone else was trying to over-charge us for New Years. Thank you Cathy and Avalon!

Avalon recently catered a holiday luncheon for our office staff. The experience was outstanding, from start to finish. Ann was helpful, professional, available, and timely in her assistance in lining up the event and menu. The food itself was delicious. We received so many comments from our staff regarding how fabulous the meal was this year. Set up and service on the day of the event was seamless. The on site group was prepared and knowledgable. The entire experience was a pleasure. We will certainly use them again.

I would highly recommend Avalon Catering! My daughter and I used them for her wedding at Kimball Hall in Roswell in May. Avalon is one of Kimball Hall's preferred vendors. Every month Kimball Hall holds an Open House for brides-to-be where the vendors showcase their particular specialty. Every month Avalon's food was excellent! They worked with us to plan the perfect menu and were very accommodating.

The food at the wedding couldn't have been better. Their beef brisket is so tender and delicious you can cut it with a fork. The collard greens are delicious as well. They served mouth-watering appetizers while we were taking pictures. Everyone at the reception raved about the food. They are wonderful to work with and their food delicious. What more could you ask for?

Excellent everywhere! Avalon catered our wedding. The food was delicious. When I saw people after the wedding, the very first comment they made was how fabulous the food was. The staff was wonderful at all times in planning the wedding and during the wedding itself. They provided all decorations -- beautiful flowers and candles. The table decorations were gorgeous, including tables for the gifts and place cards. We did not have a wedding coordinator, as Avalon, in conjunction with our DJ, kept the wedding flow going. They are wonderful!

The food was excellent and the service refined. Avalon focuses on locally grown and organic food, which means a lot to us. Cathy was responsive, attentive to special dietary needs, and generally helpful with planning, beyond simply choosing a menu and cooking and serving food. We had a simple, laid-back wedding, but my mom insisted on spending more on food, and I'm glad we did.

I strongly recommend checking out Avalon, and using them if the price is within your range. You may want to minimize peripheral a la carte services if cost is an issue. We decided to go with family style service (an attractive platter of each menu item for each table), rather than individually plated or buffet. It's a great option, cheaper than plated and replacing the obnoxious buffet line and chafing trough presentation.

Most importantly for us, it saved a lot of space in a tight venue. Generally, I strongly recommend choosing a venue that allows you to bring your own alcohol. Avalon provides friendly, professional bar staff and everything else except the booze itself. Doing so, you can get top-notch brands for half of what a typical commercial wedding venue will charge.

More generally, try and relax. If things aren't perfect, it'll still be OK. And everyone will enjoy the event more if there isn't a high-strung tone. But I digress. Please consider Avalon; they are experienced and dedicated to making these events special.

Avalon just catered our wedding at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center this past weekend. I don't know how I could rate them any higher but Cathy and Mea and the staff at Avalon were amazing! They were so accommodating to our requests and very professional and I didn't even know they were there setting up until everything was already done. ALL of the food looked beautiful and I had many guests comment on how delicious it was.

We honestly only got to have a few bites of food in all the excitement but they made sure we tried the hor d'ourves while they were being passed. Everyone was so kind and seemed very happy to be there and made our night exceptional. Cathy, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! You made our night so memorable. -David & Beth Warner
