One of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Front registers were closed, so I was sent to check out in the back. There was an employee filling salad dressing cups who instead of greeting me, looked in disgust at the closed front registers. She proceeds to tell me she would be right with me, and proceeds to fill cups. Another lady asked this employee to check me out so she proceeded to take my basket, throw it on the counter, along with the items I was purchasing.
She did tell me to have a nice day under her breath as if this were a huge inconvenience to her. I love supporting local businesses but regret contributing to this employees paycheck.

We recently ordered $600 worth of food from the catering menu for a party. They are very expensive considering the quality of food. The meat pies, mini po boys and shrimp pasta salad were decent. The crawfish pies were very disappointing. Barely stuffed and no crawfish tails whatsoever.only the etouffee sauce. The shrimp cocktail was also disappointing.
Over $1 per shrimp and they weren't very big and kind of bland. Delivery was on time (they charged $15). Perhaps the daily restaurant menu items are better but we would not use them again for catering.

Decided to stop in today on my day off. Had heard from a friend that it was a neat little spot. A blend of a small deli/grocery, with a restaurant, with a wine/spirit shop. Not big. Not a huge selection. But very nice people. Was greeted by 2 different people. Stopped and talked with Erin for a while about Bourbon. Very sweet and pretty darn knowledgeable! Don't expect a huge selection, but would definitely go back!

Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious, the service is simply terrible. It took them well over an hour to make a sandwich and a salad during their slow time. I ordered it on waitr saw that it was still in the "prep" phase for over an hour then drove over ordered a drink went home and am still waiting on my order to be finished do the delivery driver can retrieve it. Next time I'll make sure to order 2 hours before I decide to feel like I want something to eat. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I got the shrimp po boy with sweet potato fries. The food was good, but I can not say so much about my experience. The timing was just horrible and our waitress was horrible. Due to this, I don't think i would waste my time here again. I can go other places getting in and out quick esp during lunch time.

I visit Lafayette just to shop and eat here. The food is consistently good every time. The staff is fun and friendly, allowing you to sample various food and drink items in the store before you buy. I love introducing new customers to this place. Grocery Favs: chicken sausage, homemade dressings, ribeyes and any of the ready to heat family meals. Just go ahead and get a shopping cart when you enter the store, you'll need it.

I want to thank Joey and staff for a delightful rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. I only visited Joey's and the fireside room once last summer when visiting Lafayette; all other arrangements were handled long distance by phone and email as I live in the New Orleans area. Everything worked out great! Joey's was a wonderful choice as they served only us. rather than a restaurant in Lafayette on a Friday night in Lent packed with other customers.
They handled everything for us including decorating the tables. We simply dropped off our decorations and the florist dropped off the centerpieces earlier in the day. We walked in after the rehearsal and simply enjoyed a beautiful room and cocktails. When it was time to eat, everyone said the food was great! They also handled getting us champagne for toast time! I highly recommend Joey and the Fireside room! Thanks again!

Joeys. ohh man. This joint is fabulous. I was told the prices were sky high, they only cater to the uber yay me rich people of Lafayette, but Joey's is legit. and here's why. - Delicious Spiced chicken thighs for $2.49 a lb. A bargain. - Sensational sliced rotisserie turkey that is so much better than any other sliced turkey you will get anywhere. - Good selection of salamis, cheeses, wines, liquor, beer. - Very good prepared salads. - Nice selection of high-end cookware. - Lovely place. small, easy to shop in. What's not to like about Joey's. Five big ones.

I have nothing but great things to say about Joey's and his staff. My husband and I used them as caterers for our wedding and almost a year later we are still hearing about how great our reception food was.and in south Louisiana that means something. We also had our wedding cake done by them and it was beautiful and exactly how I imagined-not to mention DELICIOUS!
All in all I highly recommend Joey's for catering. Joey himself was always willing to hear our thoughts and was open to any changes we wanted to make. We could not have gone with a better caterer!

Love Joey's! Haven't actually ever dined in the restaurant but I always stock up on their pre-cooked/packaged meals when I am in town. The shrimp fettuccine is AMAZING and the stuffed baked potatoes are great. They also have great dips if you need appetizers for a party. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

I am actually pretty disappointed about this place. I've been there twice, and twice have been pretty awful. I went ahead and ordered the Cajun Pork Loin Poboy with "everything" on it. Well they must have ran out of pretty much everything in the kitchen, It was nothing but very thin, and dry slices of pork (which really had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever), What seemed to be the rest of the lettuce they had left in the kitchen, some mayo spread on one side of the bread, and three or four small slices of pickles. THAT WAS IT!.
Like I said. That must have been everything else they had left in the kitchen. And all of that for 8.00! Awful!. Now this review is based solely on the quality of food prepared to eat there. I love the little market they have going on in there. But whoever is making those sandwiches is wasting completely great resources.

Joey's isn't a place I think to visit often. With that said, however, there is one menu item - the Snacking Tasso Sandwich - that I had the first time I went to Joey's years ago & it was so good that my rare craving for the sandwich is specifically what sends me there. Because the Snacking Tasso Sandwich is all I've ever had at Joey's, I can't really speak for the rest of the menu.
I can say that I've heard nothing but good things from my friends, who have eaten several different things there. The dining area is quaint, the general market has good selections & the meat market has some pretty tempting items. Prices are reasonable, too. Not a bad place, all in all.

Back in the day, Joey's was just a small specialty-foods store with a deli counter and a tiny seating area that was more of an afterthought. Smartly, the owners renovated a few years ago, and transformed the store into a bustling lunch operation. Aside from the imported foods and wine, Joey's offers several solid options for the lunch crowd, including po-boys and salads, and their fried shrimp is consistently delicious.
The place is noisy thanks to the concrete floors, but it's a quick option if you're over on that side of town. And as a bonus, while you're grabbing lunch you can pick up some of their prepared foods from the freezer for dinner. Yum!
