Best steak sandwich i have ever had. Tender and tasty. Perfect texture all around. Great friendly service too.

We had the Turkey Gobbler. It was bland. I think if they would salt and pepper the Avacado that would help Would not order again. Purchased today 5/6/22

Meat market and sandwich shop in one spot. Their meats are absolutely top-notch (and priced accordingly). Excellent sandwiches! Porterhouse is a bit of an undiscovered gem. They have good menu options. Next time I'm going to try out their bbq.

The ladies there are so sweet & very helpful. The have the highest quality meats, seafood, cheese, wine, dessert, & can't forget the cocktails. This place makes me hungry even if I just ate. The only down fall is, I wish I found this place sooner.

We just had a bunch of sandwiches from these guys and another local sandwich company. The amount of meat and flavor in the Porterhouse sandwiches was noted by everyone I talked to. I had an Italian Sub, which was incredible. I ordered some hot food and salads online before and they got everything right, will certainly go back. Good customer service and online capabilities.

When ever I come to Idaho I have to stop here for a sandwich, the Reuben sandwich is my favorite, we also buy a couple loaf of sour dough bread called "Country Bread" so good. They also have a incredible meat market.

Had a good California style tri tip sandwich here. The staff was friendly. Would come back again. #avocado

A specialty and meat/fish market that has a great menu as a takeout restaurant. My personal passion is their Reuben sandwich and baked bean side. Perfectionists will tell me that this sandwich is not a REAL one because it uses pastrami instead of corned beef. It also uses stone ground mustard instead of Russian dressing. To those I say, so don't eat it.

It is just a delicious meal, and you can eat vastly inferior sandwiches all over the Treasure Valley, regardless of the name. This is really good stuff. I could make a meal of just the baked beans

What a gem! How I have never been in here until today is beyond me! They have it all. The in house made bacon is to die for! To top it off the prices are amazing! I'll be a regular customer!

This place never fails. We order lunch for office about twice a month and the order is always on time and they have never messed it up! we often stop after work as well. The staff is amazing! It's nice to go to a local business that still cares about customer service and has quality food that is always on point. I highly recommend the Reuben but 2nd it with the BLT, but the soups are great as well.

Absolutely awesome! I would say that Porterhouse is the best sandwich shop in the Boise area. I love trying rueben sandwiches when I go to a sandwich shop and I can not recommend their Rueben highly enough. I get it every time I go. They also have locally sourced meats, sausages and various other products. The staff is also great. Helpful and always cheerful.

If I'm going to smoke ribs, I get them here. If I'm going to grill some excellent steaks for date night, I get them here. If I'm going to get sandwiches to take somewhere, I get them here. You get the idea. Porterhouse is awesome.

We saw this place driving by and thought we'd try it. Decided to buy some chicken from the deli. The girl behind the counter made no attempt to ask if I needed help and when I made contact with her, she just looked at me with a blank stare as if I annoyed her for talking to her. She appeared as if she did not want to be bothered. When we got home, I found a long blonde hair in the chicken I bought from there and couldn't bring myself to eat it.

There was also a male employee working there and he was very friendly. It's too bad I had a negative fist experience. Looks like it could be a great place to shop. It was just disappointing.

Their BLT's are huge and very good! Also their baked beans - really good! But took off one star for this item. steer clear of the Albacore Tuna Salad from the deli; first of all they charge by weight and the taste of this salad wasn't very good; it's lacking something - would not buy this again, esp for the cost of the smallest size which was almost $9! They do have more deli salads to choose from - will try something else next visit.

Nice little deli section with some food solid choices of warm sandwiches, cold sandwiches and salads. Biggest problem with this place is if you want to eat there is only one table. Very close to the river though if it's nice outside. There is also a nice collection of butchered meats in there for purchase and the prices are very reasonable.

Where to start!? I've lived in big cities on the East Coast with old-school, highly rated butcher shops/delis and Porterhouse not only competes, but probably out classes most of them! Bought lunch a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it. The meats and seafood are as amazing as they look, but the takeout food makes them the best lunch spot in town too.

We called in a sandwich order half an hour before lunch. I got their turkey gobbler and loved it. So much flavor and tasted like a thanksgiving dinner. My husband loved his Ruben. We'll definitely be back in the future. Also loved their potato salad it came with. So tasty!

A must every time I'm in the Treasure Valley area! Fine selection of deli items, not to mention an amazing fresh meat and fish counter! Staff is always friendly and helpful!

Best sandwich I have eaten in a while. Quality meats, cheeses, and bread. Went there for lunch on our visit to Idaho. We are at 4 and 5 star restaurants on our trip and this was one of our favorite meals. Entire family enjoyed and wish they had a place in California as this place was soooo good!

Great food and great meet but the girls that work there need to smile some more. We walk in and they seem to either be tired or not really into their job. Still going for the food though!

Really slow service at lunchtime because it's so busy, but worth the wait. THE BEST baked beans I've ever had anywhere--I'd go back and wait again just to have those, but the brisket was great. Not enough seating, really, for everyone who wanted to stay and eat. A few sat outside (in December!), but the space could really stand to be bigger, or to consolidate some of the standing freezers.

1st time customer. Amazing service with smiles on everyone's face! Picked up this juicy tomahawk ribeye and decked it up. A special thank you to my new butcher! We'll definitely be back!

The meat is well trimmed, the lobster looked, tasted, and was overall fantastic. defiently will be coming back again. It's great to have a shop like this in neighborhood.

I've been searching the Treasure Valley far and wide for a legit Reuben/pastrami, and doggone it, I finally found it. The pickled onions make it even better than I had anticipated. The price is steep, $10 for a sandwich and a tiny side of you choice, but if you want quality and to support a local small business, come here.

This little hidden gem sits in a small shopping plaza off route 55 and Eagle, Idaho. They offer local items for sale in and around Boise. They carry a great selection of Snake River meats. They sell local bread's and the Tuscan loaf is just amazing. I don't think it matters what sandwich you order in the shop it will not disappoint.! The desserts look amazing everything is made in house as well as all the pasta salads and regular salads.

If you want local good quality food then I suggest you stop in. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and they can customize anything that you want also pick a steak up for the grill because you will not be sorry

This place is the best. It is right by my office so I have had many lunches here and have never had a complaint. The sandwiches are great - I love the BLT. The salads are also amazing - the Caesar is a favorite but the berry and Greek salads are also great. The soup is also good! Really you can't go wrong. And get a cookie or brownie or specialty dessert bar. You won't be disappointed. Also worth noting - the people that work here are lovely and nice and you should really try it if you haven't.

Great place for lunch for sure. Looks like they have a great butcher shop inside with fresh grass fed meat selection. Nice salad and other selections to have them heat up or take home. Cookies etc. I've tried their brisket sandwich and tritip and pretty amazing. The best baked beans I've had anywhere!
