I ordered the take and bake family meal for our family beach weekend trip. I was able to customize the order (beef ravioli with meat sauce, barbecue chicken, green salad) to meet the dietary restrictions of some of my family members (keto and picky teens). Our order was waiting for us. We unexpectedly decided to order sandwiches after our drive, they were fast fresh and really delicious.

Everyone loved the food. The portions were large enough to feed a family of five for two nights! Cute little patio for Covid compliant dining experience. Staff was pleasant and Covid observant. Very good value for the money. Would highly recommend for families traveling to the area (ready made and take-n-bake). My only complaint is the directions for the ravioli were not quite right, needed more time in the oven.

I contacted Ken at Monterey Bay Caterers for catering for my father in law's celebration of life (socially distanced) open house. We had a great conversation about the possible menu and how we would have the food dropped of at our location to follow COVID rules. He said that he would email me a quote, but I never heard back. Instead, I heard from the owner of the location of our celebration who was upset that her homeowner's association had been contacted about a 50 person barbeque party.

It appears that Ken took it upon himself to call the association and completely misrepresented our event and our intentions because he believed that I was not following the COVID rules. He could not have been more wrong. He caused trouble for myself, the owner of the home, and the association. Very disappointing. He never even contacted me again either. I would not trust them for your event. I highly recommend Ella's at the Airport! She saved our event with a safe environment and delicious food.

The staff are out of this world. My favorite place to have a breakfast burrito with gravy. I highly recommend.

Love eating at Monterey Bay but today i had a bad experience first they gave me white bread when i asked for wheat bread then they siad no more bacon then they over charged me then when I was about to enjoy my BLT sandwich there was only one slice of bacon was not to Happy

We just had a catered event with 60 people. We decided to use this company to cater our event because I have had lunch several times at their cafe. They make great sandwiches and salads. Their catering knocked it out of the park. The food was great, especially the appetizers (stuffed mushrooms - killer!). I received rave reviews of the staff. Many of the guests told me that they were the best they had ever seen at any catered event they had been to (we are all in our 70's and have all experienced the "rubber chicken circuit"). Soooo, if anyone wants good food, great catering staff at reasonable prices these are the guys!

I love this place. Great food friendly service. The breakfast burritos are awesome and they have a weekly lunch menu that has something different each day. I recommend trying this place. Oh and their carmel apple muffins are fantastic.

I've been here twice since I started working in downtown Watsonville last month and both times I was grossed out by what I ordered, my first visit I ordered a tuna sandwich on wheat it was super soggy/wet with no flavor I couldn't even pick it up it was so wet the bread fell apart, today I ordered the egg salad sandwich another HUGE mistake super soggy and no flavor I tried opening up the sandwich to try and help it out and add a little salt and the bread fell apart.i really wanted to like this place because it's small and local, but just like Second Street Cafe it was a disappointment.

We use them here at work. They are always on time and the food is good. The staff is great and the prices are reasonable as well. If you go into the deli, be aware they only do cash - no cards.

I finally made it in for lunch after so many years of others telling me how good it is. So sorry Ken! The selections are great, super fresh ingredients and lighting fast service. The women behind the counter were totally pleasant and helpful. Incredible values especially the large shrimp salad. There's a few bar seats available inside and seating outside on the side patio. Many just make their orders to go. Plenty of parking.

I almost always come here during my lunch, all their food is fresh and my favorite is the chicken breast salad and their clam chowder (served on Friday's) Sooo Good! It's A Must Try

Great fresh food. I agree with the other poster, it's exceptional for this area. I'd hire him in a heartbeat. Try the golden beats or the corn bread. YUMMY.

If your in watsonville for lunch hit up west lake because its always good! delicous sandwiches, new specials everyday, or fresh salads to choose from! they even cater weddings and other big events, ive seen first hand. they are on their game and the food id remarkable! never a dissapointment! they even have a nice big patio outside for the sunny days! a cheaper but better eriks deli:

Everyone should know if you are on Lake Avenue in Watsonville to stop in here. They have good food and prepared dishes, and everyone needs to know as well an excellent set of catering packages for every kind of event you can imagine. The help are really nice people and all from the area and have been so since I can remember. An establishment, this place is. Great!

MBC makes the Best food. I have been there now 3 times and each time I have ordered something different but each time the food was amazing. The chicken salad is homemade with the freshest ingredients, the soups are scratch made and sandwiches are made to order. -- The staff is friendly and always there to answer questions or make a suggestion. You can't go wrong having breakfast or lunch here.

Great little hole-in-the-wall place that has a small-town feel. Everything is made after you order it. Food is good but not gourmet or fancy. Great lunch counter!

I attended a large luncheon this week, catered by Monterey Bay Caterers. It was fantastic! Fresh asparagus, a sublime salad bar, wonderful rolls and elegant slices of perfectly seasoned meat. The desserts were to die for - brownies, load and loads of fresh local berries. I must admit I am partial to MBC's food - I eat there for lunch frequently. However, this food was prepared for a vary large gathering of professional people, and was completely different fare. I would have been proud to have this at any event: wedding, large party etc. Very impressed. Great job. Thanks.

What I want from a caterer (in order): The kind of reliable you don't even need to think about and food that may not open new culinary horizons, but that holds well and satisfies a diverse crowd of eaters. Monterey Bay Caterers delivers on both counts. We use MBC for events regularly. The crew shows up on time, arranges things just so and disappears. We're nearby, so we can return serving dishes but the staff also always volunteers to pick it up.

We get raves about the food, every time. Last night: a tray of cold vegetables, perfectly steamed and artfully arranged; a garden fresh green salad (as it should be since they make the stuff here in the Pajaro Valley, right?); two dressings; home made whole wheat rolls; scalloped potatoes like I wish I could make; sirloin tips in a rich gravy with tomatoes, pearl onions and just a bit of smoke; an assortment of cookies. Prices are fair, food is crowd pleasing and the staff does what it says it will, when it says it will.

Breakfast burritos! Get one! just excuse the salsa, not THAT great. you could easily fix it up with salsita from Mi Pueblo! Then you'd have the ULTIMATE burrito! :

This is really late, but we had MBC's Thanksgiving dinner last Thanksgiving and it was great. It was turkey with all the trimmings and dessert. We had a group of 7 and we had a ton of food with plenty of leftovers. Everything was packaged great, with easy instructions. I can't remember exactly how much it was, but it was no more than $75. I think for the ease, the cost and the quality of the food, it's the only way to go!

Anybody will tell ya, if you need catrering.go with MBC! Where else can you find a staff that is effecient and caring all at the same time! The food is good, fresh and fast! Having the option to enjoy MBC on many occassions, they are a jewel in Watsonville and should be sought out if you need a good caterer. Strong pressence locally, and they buy local as well! Give their "pumkpin delight" a taste.you'll see!

Great place for breakfast burritos if you are in the area. Michelle is awesome and the owner Ken is always in a good mood and often caters many events including weddings, the Fly-in and corporate parties. Big things come in small packages- driving by you may not notice it- but stop in!
