Toast catered our wedding back on 6-11-22. The owner Kim was amazing to work with. We had planned to have our wedding back in 2020 and then Covid hit. But Kim worked with us up until this year to help make our event special. We chose to go with food stations and everything went off great. The food was amazing and the service was spectacular. Toast did our wedding catering, right at the beginning of COVID and was such a God save. Such a good experience overall - Sam and his crew took care of our big group, despite the demands and needs. Sam and his team delivered such an amazing experience.

Toast catered our wedding at the end of March. They are all around the most amazing caterers in San Diego. The food is seriously some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. All of the guests at our wedding commented on how incredible the food was. Even our other vendors were coming up to us to tell us how much they loved it all! More than that though the entire team is made up of the most phenomenal people.

From the owners, Kim and Sam, to the chefs to the servers each and every person was so kind, caring and attentive. Choosing them as our caterers was the easiest part of wedding planning for sure! Our tasting with them was such a beautiful experience. From then until the day of the wedding they took such great care of us. We love Toast Catering and highly highly recommend them. We hired Toast for our wedding in August 2021. The food was nothing short of AMAZING, and we had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding (buffet) food they had ever had. One guest doesn't even like steak, and she loved the tri-tip - that good! Also, I am gluten/dairy free with a list of different food allergies and they catered 90% of the menu to my restrictions without diminishing the quality or flavor of the food. I highly recommend hiring Toast.

My group needed last minute help with catering. Toast not only agreed to do our event which was 10 days away, but the food was delicious. I am saddened that I won't be able to use Toast Catering as we had to cancel our wedding - however, as a wedding vendor I've worked with them many many times, and always been happy with their service and delicious food. I was excited to experience this as a Bride myself, and wasn't surprised that Kim and her team was helpful, professional, and accommodating from this side of the coin as well.

As a planner, I really appreciated their responsiveness and communication (which was also appreciated as a Bride, of course). Highly recommend Toast, and will definitely be using them if we reschedule our event in the future! Darn you, Covid!

We hired Toast Catering for our wedding this past weekend. The food and service was fantastic! The mini fish tacos were a big hit during cocktail hour. We chose Tri-Tip and Salmon for dinner with the Spring Mix Salad, all very good. The servers were attentive and friendly. I would definitely use this company again.

This food was absolutely delicious. It could have been considered to some people a basic lunch but because of the quality and the execution of the great cooking, it was superb! My first meal but definitely not my last.

AMAZING! Truly a hidden gem in San Diego. Loved their food, location, and their team. I just had lunch with my husband and we will definitely be returning. I will highly recommend their salads and sandwiches! I have also had their catering food over the years and would highly recommend. So happy they have opened a location!

Toast recently catered my small backyard wedding. Due to the Coronavirus my fiance and I were forced to downscale or original wedding plans to a "micro wedding" of 10 people in my in-laws backyard. I still wanted to have a small reception lunch and Toast came through with exactly what we wanted! The food was extremely delicious! Sam and Kim were responsive and very easy to work with. Can't say enough great things about Toast Catering! Toast catered my August wedding, and I'm still having friends and family tell me how much they loved all the food served, from the appetizers to the main course. My wedding was at my home, and we had approximately 65 guests, and not only was the foot great but the service by all the staff was also really good.

All my guests commented on how attentive the staff was, and were most impressed with how hot the food was given the number of guests. Also, I hired a separate vendor for bartending services, and found out a few months later they had moved out of the country. Toast Catering was a lifesaver and stepped in to handle the bar tending services too, and did an equally great job on bartending too! Jaclyn and her team were AWESOME during the entire process from the initial food tasting to the day of our wedding, and the experience with Toast Catering was truly 5 STAR!

My fiance and I have absolutely loved our experience with Toast Catering! Once we had our menu tasting with them, we cancelled the other tasting we had planned because we knew we were going to hire them! Their food is so delicious and they did an amazing job personalizing our menu. We are planning the small stations for our wedding! As our May 30th, 2020 wedding gets closer and the COVID-19 situation begins to push us into potentially rescheduling, Jaclyn from Toast has been so supportive and helpful. We are so excited to have Toast cater our wedding whenever it happens!

Toast catering is one of my all time favorite catering companies in San Diego. I've had their small bite foods at multiple events around San Diego and I can honestly say their quisine is top-notch. Need a caterer for your next event? Look no further!

I booked Toast for my wedding in July and while their food was good, the service was less than. I spent weeks going back and forth with their sales manager picking food, tableware, etc. We were getting married at a private residence and I wanted them to use the onsite kitchen instead of paying for a "pop up kitchen" and they said this would be fine.

Long story short, the sales manager who had drafted my contract left the company and everything went downhill from there. We went for our tasting and were told they would need to do an onsite visit to decide if they could use the kitchen (after we had already been told they could). We set up the onsite visit and when they showed up, they took pictures, said everything looked good and would get back to us if they didn't think that set-up would work.

We never heard a thing. Two weeks before the wedding I submitted the final guest headcount and asked for the final invoice. I didn't end up receiving the final invoice until 4 days before my wedding and the prices on almost EVERYTHING had changed from forks, cup, garbage can, etc. all had gone up in price. Plus, they added the pop-up kitchen to the invoice without even consulting with us.

So here I was days before my wedding combing through every email and proposal highlighting the changes and adding up what the total should be according to our SIGNED contract. They ended up (mostly) honoring our original proposal (and signed contract), but that was beside the point. Who needs that stress 4 days before their wedding? Then comes the day of the wedding, they put bread rolls on our perfectly set table hours BEFORE guests even arrived.

Our wedding was in a backyard, ceremony on one side, reception on the other. So these bread rolls sat on the table in the heat and were an eye sore in every photo. I even asked my coordinator if she could have them pick them up and when she asked them, they told her sure, but then they will have to put them out during the ceremony. It's frustrating when you spend a year planning every single detail of your special day to have big yellow bread rolls in every photo, not to mention stale by the time dinner was served some five hours later.

Toast Catering was very accommodating from the moment we sat down for our personalized tasting. They really made us feel like their only client, despite being so popular & busy. The service during the reception was great & we had no complaints all around. From the passed appetizers to the late night snack, the food was delicious & our guests were very satisfied.

Not only was the food tasty, but the time and attention that Jaclyn (sales manager & go-to contact) gave us throughout the process was very much appreciated & necessary. She provided us with a lot of great suggestions and insight, while giving us all the freedom to ultimately decide how we wanted our Wedding Reception to go. We highly recommend choosing them for any event! We can't thank Jaclyn & Toast enough for their hard work!

So in a VERY short timeline I was referred to use TOAST for an off-site event I was planning for my job. Let me be the first to say. WHAT A BLESSING. Not only were they responsive literally a week and a half before my event, they were able to accommodate my request, along with all the changes as they came in. Another wonderful thing about my experience using Toast Catering was the fact that the on-site staff were literal GEMS they were so nice, friendly and even when I was working, they brought food over to me! that is rare and truly appreciated. We catered our wedding from Toast catering and feel so blessed to have had them as our vendors! Sam, the owner and chef, and manager Jaclyn were incredible! We went to a tasting where they were both so gracious and made us feel so welcome. I am vegan and my husband is not, but they were able to create dishes that satisfied our needs as well as our vision for our guests.

We can honestly say that the pasta dishes were better than what we had while vacationing in Italy! Sam and Jaclyn also went out of their way to ensure we were well fed the night of the wedding, bringing me dessert with vegan gelato. We opted for the warm cookie dessert station and are so happy we did. Our guests loved the food and service. Jaclyn helped me plan not only the food aspect of the wedding but with the table set up and arrangements.

We have recommended them to our friends who are engaged and recommend everyone to go through Toast catering for their events! We cannot wait to host another event so that we can eat their food again!

Toast catered my wedding last week and people are still talking about how good the food was. They loved our tray passed apps and the meal was amazing. People have literally said it was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. The initial tasting was fantastic and both Sam and Kim came out and talked about if there were things we would want to change/do differently.

My husband has some diet restrictions, so they were more than willing to tailor food accordingly. This personal approach was definitely why we decided to go with them (in addition to the food being amazing). The presentation of their food is also much more appealing than some of the other groups we tasted with or places I saw photos of. I also had the pipe dream of having a churro bar and chocolate fountain, and even though I don't doubt it was a pain in the ass, they made it happen.

And it was phenomenal! People were so excited to have something different than just the usual cake. I really just wish i could eat their food on the regular. Still dreaming about Japanese fried eggplant. Check them out and you will not be disappointed!

Best Food in Town. Creative, high quality, excellent service. You will not be disappointed. They took care of everything. Rentals, waiters, full bar, food stations, heaters. Spot on. They catered a baby shower for me yesterday in Coronado. Arrangements made via e-mail our of state. Luis arrived exactly on time, he was our bartender and brought the food. It was a sandwich selection with salads and two trays of appetizers I passed. Food was yummy and presentation was very pretty. Luis was super friendly, very efficient and organized. I would definitely use them again!

Toast Catering was the first and only catering company we looked into for our wedding. We went in for a tasting and immediately fell in love with the food! We had no doubt in our minds that we needed to look elsewhere let alone try or shop around for another catering company. Toast is AMAZING to say the least. Kim, the staff, chefs, servers etc. are so professional, kind and truly incredible to work with.

Everything from picking the menu, to the details of the place setting, to figuring out the layout of the space was seamless. We highly recommend them for your wedding, party, event, big or small. Toast of the town! :: wink:: Attending my cousin's wedding in Balboa Park, Toast was thoroughly impressive from beginning to end. Service was very attentive and polite. The food was way above and beyond my expectations in comparison to the standard wedding food. We had a spinach salad that was amazingly fresh. It had goat cheese, strawberries, sunflower seeds and a light vinaigrette.

The salmon was perfectly cooked. The vegetables were perfectly roasted baby squash and carrots. At the end of the buffet was a carving station featuring a roasted tenderloin. The seasoning was delicious and the cook was just right. You know when it's good food when you're hoping to duplicate the dish at home. Well, I'd like to get the recipe for every dish we had.

We used TOAST Catering for our wedding of approximately 150 people in July 2017 and they couldn't have done a better job. From the beginning we were so excited to work with Sam and Kim, we could tell how dedicated they both are to their business. The food was outstanding, the bartenders were great and the coordination of everything was perfect. I had multiple guests comment on the quality of the food.

Their servers were also amazing, my mother-in-law commented on what a great job they did and how you didn't even know they were there. I really cannot stress enough the quality of the food and the many options we had to choose from. After the ceremony, Kim personally brought over a tray of appetizers and two drinks for my husband and I before we started taking pictures and I thought that was so sweet. I will definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for a high quality caterer at a reasonable cost!

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Toast Catering is the best caterer you can imagine, you should BOOK them! The food is delicious, fresh, and unique! Kim and Sam are so easy to work with and made our wedding dreams come true! The food was really important to my husband and me. We did a wonderful tasting with lots of fun options. Kim was very responsive, helpful and on top of our wedding the whole year beforehand, she always responded to my questions and concerns.

The appetizers were a huge hit, we loved the Kobe Beef Sliders. We also ended up having 185 people for dinner which I was worried was a lot but all of our guests raved about how wonderful the food was and our buffet lines were quick and efficient. Sam, the head chef, also came out to check on the progress multiple times making me as the bride feel so much at ease. (I noticed he came out a few times to ensure all was going well!) I would highly recommend Toast Catering to anyone planning a large event or wedding, they are the perfect caterers to work with on your big day!
